Hi all, can't believe I have to start the new thread

Slng, lol @ ds2!

Sfx, sparkle sounds nice!

I'm having to bribe ds1 to leave the house atm, that can't be right surely

He had his nativity yesterday, all lines remembered though there was a bit of yawning during it

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 11/03/2010 17:53

DS2 made some finger rolls in nursery with black icing. We are debating whether to eat it or not.

vbus · 11/03/2010 19:28

Tilly - I know
LOL at DS1 story!

Copper -was the black icing appetising?

Just when I thought DS1 getting better he's just been sick after a random coughing fit. Luckily he managed to avoid the bedding this time, carpet was the only casualty.

Swimming went well. Kew - I'll email you the details as they have an open day coming up.

Mellow - yes they do classes on Sat am.
I warn you both they do have a waiting list but you never know your luck getting a place, prob best to go to open day and register

sfxmum · 12/03/2010 10:02

hello all

tilly heard Up is really sad apparently grown men cry

lordcopper did you eat it?

am waiting for parcel (7am-7pm) first attempt 10 days ago re scheduled twice and they did not deliver, last chance today

UptoapointLordCopper · 12/03/2010 10:16

Hello!

DS2 refused to eat it himself because it looked "strange and awful". I wouldn't touch it. DS1 ate the whole thing and said it was delicious.

tilly - did DS1 then question priest about what they do with baddies? Sorry sfx's newsnight story still on my mind ...

Went out with friend last night. Friend's DD's school has competitive money-collection . Parents give money for being good. I will never complain about our school again. (Not true, of course. But I'll stop for this week.)

vbus · 12/03/2010 13:31

Copper - Whaaaat???!! Parents pay for being good??? Weird

Sfx - has parcel turned up yet?

Have not seen Up. Have Harry Potter for tonight

sfxmum · 12/03/2010 13:53

no parcel no running lots of studying and some housework

lordcopper do you mean parents give money to their kids to take to school for being good at home?
and sorry about link

UptoapointLordCopper · 12/03/2010 13:54

vbus - I know. I often feel I ought to be paid for good behaviour too, but does anyone take any notice!?

Is that the half-blood prince? I got that out from the library last week. Very enjoyable. I also highly recommend Ice Age 3. We watched it again last week for the second time and still loved it.

sfxmum · 12/03/2010 13:55

vbus do you mean the latest Harry potter? I liked it
have a, I think Korean movie to watch a take on the Vampire theme 'Thirst'

actually speaking of recent movies I quite like Up in the Air

vbus · 12/03/2010 14:38

yes I have Half blood prince to watch. I'd love to see Up in the Air, is it on dvd already?
I finally finished reading Breaking Dawn last night so I can now watch the films

sfxmum · 12/03/2010 14:50

did yuo put down the book and screamed cried and laughed at the name of the child? surely social services should be involved
although I quite liked the birth scene

no parcel yet although they say it is in transit, possibly through Europe

vbus · 12/03/2010 14:52

Child's name was completely ridiculous, utterly cringeworthy but I did like the book!

tillyfernackerpants · 12/03/2010 17:44

The whole of BD is cringeworthy but still enjoyed it . Maybe we should do a MN cinema trip for Eclipse?!

Copper, bizarre!

Sfx, how annoying re parcel. Do they get another chance?

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 12/03/2010 18:21

No!!! Friend went to see Eclipse and said it's really really really mega-cringy. And she's a fan. I quite enjoyed BD too. So contrived and transparent it's funny.

Has parcel arrived yet sfx?

sfxmum · 12/03/2010 18:35

Eclipse had not been released yet lordcopper not until June I think you mean New Moon
went to see it with Tilly and we had a good laugh in parts we were not meant to, but thankfully the hormonal teens went to earlier screening and the older hormonal one seemed to have a sense of humour

no fracking parcel
will ask for money back this is just silly

and Tilly definitely up for another trip to the saga but I might have to cover my ears at the tent scene oh lordy is that cringe-worthy or what?

UptoapointLordCopper · 12/03/2010 18:40

New Moon it must have been then! All blend into one in what's left of my mind ...

vbus · 12/03/2010 19:25

Would be up for Eclipse trip but can you wait til I've watched the other 2 films first please?!

Sfx - that's so annoying re: parcel, hope they compensate you

Hope everyone has a nice weekend

tillyfernackerpants · 12/03/2010 20:23

vbus, better get a move on then

Dh away for the weekend, am actually quite enjoying being able to watch anything I like!

OP posts:
sfxmum · 12/03/2010 20:39

a taster of Eclipse from my favourite gossip site

and tilly I seem to be an exception dh hates viewing sport and the only telly he watches is on boxsets or on iplayer the telly is mine mine mine

UptoapointLordCopper · 13/03/2010 16:56

Aaarrggghhh!!!!!

sfxmum · 14/03/2010 10:10

happy mother's day

being woken up at 7.30 am not great but the huge box of chocolates sort of makes up for it

dustythedolphin · 14/03/2010 21:05

Happy Mother's day all you west London Gals x ¸¸.?¨?☆☆?¨?.¸¸.?¨?☆ ♥
Had St Paddy's Day parade here and it was warm and sunny!!! Whoo Hoo!
Miss you all - any gossip?

Kewcumber · 14/03/2010 21:32

would have been happy with 7.30am as thats a lie in for DS! AS it was we were away for weekend - DS didn;t go to bed til 10pm any night and was still up at 7am every day. Cue one very grouchy DS during the day!

Never mind we had a nice though exhausting weekend.

Hi Dusty - St Pat's sounds fun but I always think wasted on a teetotaller like me!

vbus · 15/03/2010 09:23

Hello

Happy Mother's Day to all

We went to Kew which was lovely, after having a lie-in and brekky in bed, what a treat!

Kc - where did you head off to?

Hi Dusty - how was celebrating St P's day in Ireland?

Tilly - one down, one to go. Although after watching 1st film I'm in no rush to watch the second

Not sure what to do this morning, so sunny

sfxmum · 15/03/2010 10:00

kewcumber have you decided on the festival?

vbus I have a favourite scene

the 2nd is high on hilarity but with a better soundtrack

we barely slept here dd was coughing a lot kept waking up but she did go to school this morning, I am supposed to go run 4 miles and am sat here in my gear, the will failing

Kewcumber · 15/03/2010 12:38

Cautionary tale: don't let the hard skin build upon your heel and ignore it. When it cracks it bloody hurts. Ow! Ow! Ow!
