let us see if anyone finds their way here

yes, do like the premise and moral implications of FF, but the acting is rather clunky.
actually i had a really weird, realistic FF dream last night...(in my dream) couldn't work out whether i was having a FF vision or actually living my "real time" life..
made for a rubbish night's sleep, i can tell you

stepfordwife · 24/11/2009 15:52

'melanie klein makes me feel angry then ultimately sorry for her"
reckon i'll win this week's pseud's corner award?!
hee hee

(procrastinating...moi?)

slng · 24/11/2009 16:18

I don't procrastinate. I reserve the best for last.

Cold seems to be getting worse so may have to forego a training session at work. What a shame.

sfxmum · 24/11/2009 16:30

LOL steppie about dreams best ignored had the most vivid while pregnant the bizarrely a couple this year one quite pleasant the other horribly disturbing

slng hope you feel better day off might help

dd burning up again and refusing meds
she is missing school photo day dh will do the parent eve by himself tonight

OP posts:
stepfordwife · 24/11/2009 17:08

...sing...like it.. that.sounds so much more positive than procrastination

sfx, oh poor little thing, it's horrible when they're ill, isn't it?
yes, pregnancy dreams are plain weird!
must go downstairs and spend token time with offspring before they go swimming....
thank god for dh's day working from home on tuesdays..procrastination saving the best for last (TM sing) aside, amazing how much you can get done free from the school runs, cooking dinner, homework, listening, conversation, etc..etc..etc..etc..

slng · 24/11/2009 17:55

sfx - no day off even if ill, unfortunately. Not going to training means I can spend the time working rather than listen to waffle.

steppie - surprising how much time small people consume, doesn't it?

Now that I've banished the kids upstairs I'm going to do something ...

dustythedolphin · 24/11/2009 18:35

Steppy lol - go and do some work Missus and stop procrastinatin' !!

dustythedolphin · 24/11/2009 18:37

DS is slightly better - thankfully as I don;t think I could take another night like last two nights. one of the rare occasions when I miss a DH to strip the bed and remake whilst I catch sick of child, please don;t tell me they don;t do that - leave me my illusions please...

No sick today (hoorah) and temp is little more under control with meds (didn't touch it yesterday)

Congrats Eastend - I'd love another boy (mind you I'd love another child of either sex so a bit of a pointless comment!).

I was a rare adopter who had no idea of the sex until I walked into the room where they had DS. Just like giving birth! Except for the 3 year pregnancy and the intact pelvicfloor. Mind you I had no idea of the babies ethnicity either which I would guss is fairly rare if you are giving birth - though obviously not impossible!

sfxmum · 24/11/2009 19:53

kewcunber that is good to hear, hope he continues to improve
to be fair to dh just about the only time he wakes up during the night is when dd is poorly

dd now in bath dh taking over a bit, hope she sleeps better but still can't see tomorrow as a school day

the parent eve was apparently amusing
mostly stuff we expected, except her desire to be Sargent major and trying to get all other children to do star jumps at every opportunity
we have home work to do with her and more structured stuff coming after Christmas

slng training days can be soul destroying although I have chosen them over having to deal with own stuff, at least I could easily switch off

slng · 25/11/2009 09:49

Good morning!

Hope all LOs are better.

What a lot of wind and rain last night. Kids were awake at 3am until persuaded that it's not day time yet.

sfx- at minisfx instigating starjumps. What's her next project?

sfxmum · 25/11/2009 11:47

hello all

how are poorly LOs?

here snot cough high temp still going but seems better

slng not sure about projects but she sure tells them an awful lot of home stuff

just had our first Christmas card and assorted Christmas stuff from FIL, feels early

OP posts:
slng · 25/11/2009 12:14

No christmas stuff till December. Bought plastic tiny tree but it's staying in the car boot till next week.

Not sure what my children have been telling school/nursery staff ... Nursery staff certainly knows all about DS1 from DS2.

pcworld · 25/11/2009 12:52

Apparently dd has swine flu and I now have in my posession a box of Tamiflu. To give, or not to give - decisions ... the main worry is that she has suffered from asthma in the past, she had an attack last night and so we are back on the inhalers again. Meanwhile, ds is having a breadstick! First food item in 3 days, let's hope he keeps it down.

SFX, does seem a tad early re: Christmas. As much as I am looking forward to it all, I'm thinking that maybe from after 1st week in Dec we can go for it

sfxmum · 25/11/2009 12:59

Hi pcW it is a worry isn't it? I probably should have seen the doctor earlier have finally relented and called them dd will be seen this evening, now feeling awful for not going in earlier
but zero food hacking cough etc still going on

OP posts:
vbus · 25/11/2009 13:48

Hello all

Glad there is some improvement in some of the poorly LO's, hope the rest of them recover quickly.
The Tamiflu decision is tricky , what did you decide in the end PCW?

Sfx - Christmas cards in November way too early. LOL at minisfx's antics

Just about getting through b'day season, DS1 is 4 today, yay!!!!
Place is ressembling a across between Disneyland and a bombsite Must have toy cull of old toys this afternoon whilst DS1 at nursery & DS2 sleeps (thanfully he slept well last night, amazing what good night's sleep can do for the soul)

vbus · 25/11/2009 13:52

Congrats Eastend, exciting news
Steppie - v.cultured of you going to theatre

slng · 25/11/2009 14:00

Re toy culls - we are down to little toy cars, toy animals, train set, lego and blocks and some props. Not sure whether it is possible to cull further without provoking mass revolt...

vbus · 25/11/2009 14:08

Slng - can't wait to get that stage. The toy cull is difficult due to different age of the boys, they both essentially like cars, trains & blocks but don't want to get rid of the baby/toddler toys just yet as DS1 still enjoying them. But every time I get old toys out to get rid of them DS1 starts playing with them as if they're new and enjoys them so then I feel bad that I wanted to give them away to charity Must get rid of some though as no room to store them!

vbus · 25/11/2009 14:09

oops DS2 still enjoying baby toys

slng · 25/11/2009 14:51

DS1 still remembers his baby toys too, but also knows that they have been given away to other babies who can't play with the big-boy toys. We also keep the soft toy. The children's beds are a veritable zoo. And they want more fierce creatures for Christmas if we fail to find them baby Zebra's (called Zebrii) dad.

TheWorldFamousKewcumber · 25/11/2009 14:57

I gave one dose of Tamiflu which made DS throw up and I decided he needed food more than he needed Tamiflu - he seems over the worst already - though nasty cough. Thankfully he doesn't have anything like asthma so hopefully won't develop complications.

sfxmum · 25/11/2009 17:17

right back from the doctor he thinks things should clear in a few days and not to worry that she not eating (don't think he is a parent) fever still too high but again not to worry as chest is fairly clear despite the cough
I think I feel relieved

going out tonight feel a bit shit about it but have been locked in since Monday and need a break it is only a couple of hrs and dd will be with her dad

OP posts:
slng · 25/11/2009 17:59

Glad to hear LOs over the worst.

sfx - I guess it's fluids that she needs rather than food. We used to get thin rice congee when we were ill - more water than rice. That is still what I'd eat when I feel ill. Where are you going?

sfxmum · 25/11/2009 18:16

slng that sounds exactly like what my mum would feed us then added eggs sort of dropped in there string like followed by chicken soup when better - there were rules
just the movies but have already booked tickets

are you feeling any better?
