AAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH.

slng · 08/10/2009 21:22

And I have a sore throat and I have to lecture tomorrow.

slng · 08/10/2009 21:23

AAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH.

That's better.

sfxmum · 08/10/2009 21:53

slng I seldom answer the phone only talk with reasonably sane people life is too short and I am too old to care about being seen as odd and rude

hope you feel better

OP posts:
slng · 08/10/2009 21:56

I TOLD her about a million times that "I am not interested about things like this", "can you stop telling me now because I hate this kind of things", "you are jumping to conclusions while accusing other people of doing so". Which ones of those statements is f**king ambiguous? Oh my God. Luckily I have a few novels and Asterix to calm me down before I go to bed. OH MY GOD. Lucky for DH he's out or he'll get an earful ...

sfxmum · 08/10/2009 22:04

husbands are actually quite useful in such situations particularly the more skilful and experienced ones, they can look as if they listen and even care as we vent
of course in such times our best judgement is somewhat clouded by red mist and we just sort of get along with the pantomime

go read and eat something nice
I have to go write about the changes in business over the past 40 years

OP posts:
slng · 09/10/2009 18:12

Hello!

So so so tired ...

Having table ace squash pancakes for tea. Have already experimented on kids and they ate them and are now running about, so should be safe.

Friend phoned again and we are now planning night out .

slng · 09/10/2009 18:13

Friend is nice, really. A far better person than I am. Obviously. But there are certain topics of discussions to be avoided ...

vbus · 10/10/2009 09:04

Morning

Slng - sounds like a tricky phone call, glad you've patched things up with friend.

I'm annoyed with my parents. They said they wanted to arrange a family party for DS2 1st b'day which was is fine apart from now it is turning into a circus and an evening event, not what we discussed or wanted. They already sent out invites before telling us the time and place I'm tempted not to go which will obviously go down like a lead balloon.

Sorry for rant. Anyway at least have night out to look fwd too.

Hoep everyone is well

sfxmum · 10/10/2009 10:28

good morning all

tilly from post on other thread I can see sleep still a problem ouch

slng I suppose best let it go can't really like everything about everybody all the time them not being us and all

vbus does it require evening dress? I've heard of weddings like that.
hope it gets resolved reasonably

I stayed in bed until 10am needed the rest dh looks frazzled as he has been up since 5 and dd got up at 7.30 and has been very 'lively' since

OP posts:
slng · 10/10/2009 11:33

Good morning!

Was a bit frazzled too in the morning - a bit fed up of procrastinating youngsters... But went for music lessons (for kids) and feel a bit rested after 1.5hr of enforced doing-nothing.

vbus - at birthday party escalation. Hope it gets sorted! I hate hijackings too.

sfx - we must be thankful there's not more than one me. I am quite insufferable, most of the time, but sometimes I do put on good behaviour. Promise to do so this evening.

sfxmum · 10/10/2009 23:36

thanks everyone for a lovely evening sorry I did not get to talk to all

auntie will let you know when likely to go running tomorrow, see if mutually convenient

night night

OP posts:
tillyfernackerpants · 11/10/2009 08:11

morning all, had a lovely evening, nice to catch up with you. And I think I managed to speak to everyone

vbus, hope the party issue is sorted out soon for you.

Not sure what to do today, dh has offered to take the boys out for most of the day. I know I should take him up on it but I also feel like we should spend the day together...

slng · 11/10/2009 15:11

Hello all!

Had very nice evening!

Not in the best of mood today though - DS1 woke up coughing about 5.30am and I didn't sleep much after that ... Am going to go out and hack some vegetation in the garden to vent.

vbus · 11/10/2009 15:29

We are having a Thai dinner.

sfxmum · 11/10/2009 16:58

not making the past cause that would be mad really

OP posts:
slng · 11/10/2009 17:54

Never tried making pasta, but will try to make noodles one day, when I have gone mad. Which won't be long.

tillyfernackerpants · 11/10/2009 18:04

chilli & tacos for us tonight, am not making the tacos

Compromised in the end, we all went to the park this morning & dh has taken the ds's off to a soft play this afternoon, so I've cleaned up & got tea ready

Lovely to see you all BTW - 'twas great fun!

vbus · 12/10/2009 13:28

Hello

Gorgeous weather

Sfx - well done on course work, always a good feeling

auntie - didn't know you ran?

DH arrived in US yesterday. I'm going to try and get a few jobs and things done while he's away. Well that's the theory. No doubt will end up vegging on sofa in the evenings

eastendmummy · 12/10/2009 13:33

Hello all! Hope you're enjoying the lovely sunshine. I'm sorry that I missed Saturday night and hope that it was a good evening.

Can anyone recommend somewhere that I can have a dress altered? The alterations are quite straightforward but it's a bridesmaid dress (although acutally just from Coast) so it needs to be someone who will do a very neat job. We're in St Margarets.

Thank you!
