Hi everyone. Sorry that I've not been on here for a while, haven't been that busy but not quiet enough for mnetting. Thank you so much for recommending the All Souls Playgroup - I took ds yesterday and it was brilliant. It's definitely the best one I've been to and ds enjoyed it so it was a winner all round. I hope I get to meet some of you there in the coming weeks.

pcworld · 01/10/2009 20:12

Mon or Weds also fine for me over half-term, good idea SFX.

Yes, Auntie - can only imagine how busy you must be keeping all the plates spinning - felt exhausted after reading your post! In fact, I think many of us will be looking forward to relaxing with a large glass of vino on the 10th! I'm just practising at the moment with a small glass of pinot grigio as dh is out at footie tonight Have Location Location on and the laptop to hand - bliss! Really should be doing something more important like sorting out a massive box of paperwork or planning other things - but the honest truth is that once the dcs are in bed I tend to grind to a halt!

Tilly, hope you had a better night last night? Sorry you're having a tough time at the moment, hope it will pass soon, they seem to go through so many different phases at that age.

Eastend - glad you enjoyed the playgroup! Shame we didn't go along, too - I had a ropey day yesterday so stayed very local. It will be nice to meet you on the 10th, glad you can make it.

mellow2 · 01/10/2009 21:53

Sushi,
Hope ds is better. The staff turnover would concern me too.

Tilly,
I sympathise with the lack of sleep too.

I would certainly be up for a half-term meet up. I could do Friday Oct 30 of half-term. I'm thinking of taking dd to Kew. It's been a while since we've been there.

We're off tomorrow to Malaysia for a couple of weeks so I probably won't log back until I get back.

EEnd - look forward to meeting you on 10th and so glad you can join us for something to eat and a glass of something

Wouldn't want to lose all that money! Seriously, have been looking forward to it for ages, love Romney Marsh and we are visiting Mrs Recycle tomorrow to nose around her new house.Have decided that if DCs arde sick I will leave them with DH and visit her on my own

Its freezing today isn't it?

pcworld · 02/10/2009 13:22

Oooh Auntie - say Hi to Mrs R for me! And report back on the house Hope your dcs are well enough for the trip.

What's with all the cold people? Where I'm from, this weather is positively mediterranean

ds is currently upstairs chatting away and not sleeping. Roll on 7pm tonight ...

Have just consumed a large packet of maltesers for lunch. Needs must.

mygreatauntgriselda · 02/10/2009 13:34

PC maltesers are very nutritious, as we both know

vbus · 02/10/2009 14:02

PCW - nice to see you earlier like your lunch, hope you get some rest this afternoon

Auntie - hope Ds1 makes a fast recovery. Enjoy your trip and say hi to MrsR!

Mellow - have a fab holiday

sfx - Half term meet great idea, can do any day that wk

Eastend, will be nice to meet you soon

Just managed to get last min hair appointment tonight, I'm going to collapse once I get into that seat, let's hope I don't fall asleep

mygreatauntgriselda · 02/10/2009 14:30

enjoy your pamper VUS

pcworld · 02/10/2009 14:32

Vbus, I thought your hair looked nice this morning - what are you having done?

slng · 02/10/2009 15:37

Hello!

One more week of school done! Might have inadvertently upset people by being annoyed (quite loudly) and crushing and binning a piece of flyer about some tuition centre. Why oh why do they give things like that out in school? Do they not see what the implications are!? Or am I being too pedantic?

And it's not cold. Not if you ran all the way to school because the traffic was bad and you are nearly late for pickup ...

Auntie - say hello to MrsR! Is DS1 better now?

Half-term meet up good in principle! Will see if I can get some time off for good behaviour ...

sfxmum · 02/10/2009 15:59

mygreatauntgriselda · 02/10/2009 16:04

SFX had to reread your post as I originally read it as "and she does look so much better since using that contraception"

sfxmum · 02/10/2009 16:16

LOL

OP posts:
vbus · 02/10/2009 18:11

I read that too - great minds think alike Auntie

Good news about KC

PCW - you're v.kind! just a tidy up for this wedding tom, a few inches lobbed off would be good as DS2 still enjoying grabbing hair

How annoying DH just now offered to get food in tonight after I just finished cooking

slng · 02/10/2009 20:40

Hello!

Missed that bit about KewC. Good to hear she's better.

We are going to a 5yo birthday party tomorrow. Quite looking forward to it! But must wrap pressies. Do I or do I not let DC have a look tomorrow or do I wrap them up now?

We've baked some ginger and date cookies. Possibly the best cookies ever!

tillyfernackerpants · 03/10/2009 03:40

slng, cookies sound delicious, any chance of the recipe?

vbus, have fun at the wedding

Glad to hear Kew is getting better.

Ds2 awake again [sigh], hence my 3.30am post!
