SFX/Tilly well done on completing the run

Still haven't sponsored yet - sorry a lot going on here with end of term stuff, various paperwork and birthday parties

Vbus is someone coming to visit me?

mygreatauntgriselda · 29/06/2009 21:28

Have posted birthday picnic invitation on FB

Kewcumber · 29/06/2009 21:45

near the park in Acton (camel replacement service)

slng · 30/06/2009 07:53

Morning!

Not even 8 o'clock and breakfast all done! What should we do now?

Kew - ah Acton the well-known camel centre of the world.

Does anyone remember the advert where a man queues outside a bank with a camel and dialogue goes:
lovely lady: sir are you with the camel?
man with camel: No I'm with the woolich.

Beats Howard and the halifax any day.

vbus · 30/06/2009 10:23

Auntie - yes I'm sending guests your way in case you weren't busy enough!

Kew - camel probably a good mode of transport in this heat

Also feeling dreadfully organised, got to preschool early, have cooked a lamb curry (will be DS2 1st curry experience!), off to Cheeky monkeys soon if anyone wants to join, then have to take DS1 for an x-ray this afternoon , then plumber coming at 5pm

Slng - going to try and have a quiet thurs pm as today and tom are so busy. Will let you know if I change my mind

Hope everyone staying cool in this heat

sfxmum · 30/06/2009 11:22

good morning all

slng that is funny can't remember advert

vbus how was the vaccine? X-ray now? the fun never stops
about aunt at weekends my sister is at home it is just keeping an eye in this heat she is a tad forgetful and has some health issues

too hot to run at the usual time, think I shall have to set alarm tomorrow, anyway went shopping instead after taking dd to nursery
she had 3 changes of outfit this morning
because it was not 'funky enough'

OP posts:
sfxmum · 30/06/2009 13:48

tillyfernackerpants · 30/06/2009 14:00

We're sitting here melting, both boys are a bit grumpy & I'm toying with taking the pair of them swimming to cool off, am I mad?

Sfx, lol @ minisfx, she obviously gets it from you . Trousers sound lovely, wish I could fit into a 14!

vbus, hope everything is ok with the xray

slng, we'll probably be around Thurs pm.

vbus · 30/06/2009 14:01

Sfx - vaccine was fine, DS so au fait with medical establishments, we seem to be in and out of them all the time (only to be surpassed by KC )

Auntie - couldn't see invite

vbus · 30/06/2009 14:03

Tilly - good luck with swim, might do that tom with DS2, not brave enough to take both on my own!

tillyfernackerpants · 30/06/2009 14:08

vbus, I'm not sure if I'm brave enough yet! But I figure ds2 will be in his floating seat, ds1 will have his armbands on & is happy swimming around without me holding him, & ds1 can pretty much dry & dress himself afterwards. Of course, that's my plan but it may all go horribly wrong!

vbus · 30/06/2009 14:10

Yes, that's the theory, hope it goes well
Right, better head out to hospital now or we'll be late

sfxmum · 30/06/2009 16:03

I probably should take dd swimming pools, in the park outdoor swimming is great but don't fancy taking her is full heat maybe if weather is ok on Friday and we can go in the morning

slng we should be around thu pm but depends on how dd feels like after nursery

tilly trousers are wide leg loose cut slightly lowish waist

looking forward to Kew swing next Wednesday I hope it is a nice warm and dry evening, then Latitude am so excited

tillyfernackerpants · 30/06/2009 18:00

sfx, indoor pools at Richmond are closing over the summer so outdoor pools are probably going to be packed

sfxmum · 30/06/2009 20:15

tilly yes it was closed last time we went

dd is in bed singing the chorus of RAM 'Killing in the name of' teen babysitters hey!

....and now you do what they told ya and now you do what they told ya.....

vbus · 30/06/2009 20:31

tillyfernackerpants · 30/06/2009 20:53

Good morning!

Another warm day. DS2 was awake from 12 to 2 last night and has the nerve this morning to complain that he was tired. Suffice to say he did not get any sympathy from any of us ...

vbus · 01/07/2009 10:28

Morning

It is tough for the LO's sleeping in this heat, although it did briefly rain last night. DS1 has been mostly sleeping through but is mega thristy when he wakes up. DS2 has now decide to drink milk again but only at nighttime it would apprear

Will take DS2 swimming soon.

Tilly - did you venture to the pool with both of them in the end?

Sfx - DS1 seems to quite like Snow Patrol atm, much more mellow!

sfxmum · 01/07/2009 10:36

good morning

happy to report that for once, everyone slept well here
dd off to nursery after just one change of outfit and I am trying to be interested in accounting as part of course
rather be running or almost anything else really

Afternoon

I was wondering if anyone had heard of any courses being run for teenagers over the holidays in July? I have trawled the internet and am needing stuff for my 13yo girl and 15yo boy charges to do. Sewing, Dance, Golf, Sailing etc.. So many things are only on in July.
Thanks heaps
Lou

sfxmum · 01/07/2009 17:10

hi Lou can't really help but afaik Sheen sports centre run summer classes on a range of sporting activities

regarding rashes dd started with a rash on her tummy yesterday just a few spots but today seems to be all over her back and tummy, she shows no other symptoms to get me worried should I just assume it is due to heat?

apparently not itchy I thought it would be heat rash and that is normally itchy isn't it?

OP posts:
tillyfernackerpants · 01/07/2009 17:40

sfx, I thought heat rash wasn't itchy? I'm sure that's the most likely explanation though. Good job on the sleep. Ds's are sleeping fine, its getting to sleep that's the problem!

vbus, I did take them both swimming in the end, it was fine!

Lou, sorry I don't know. I guess you've tried the local authority websites?

Seems to be very quiet on here lately?!

sfxmum · 01/07/2009 17:55

tilly we have the same problem on getting to sleep but that is to be expected

well done on swimming

having a sort of Korma for dinner smells lovely just waiting for dh
