No rain here now. I went to Kingston this afternoon (1st bit of freedom from the boys in a month ) and suddenly it was raining a lot, but it was a nice warm rain that you didn't mind being in!

Tilly - welcome back, glad you had a great holiday

sfxmum · 28/06/2009 08:28

good morning all

can you all please do a rain dance, so a nice refreshing shower comes down on Tilly and me at about 11am? pretty please

Hello!

Are the runners back? How was it?

We went out for breakfast, then swimming. Tired now ... but probably not as tired as PCW ...

tillyfernackerpants · 28/06/2009 14:43

Hi all, we survived lots of pink everywhere, we both bucked the trend!

Pc, poor you, ds2 is trying to crawl now

sfxmum · 28/06/2009 15:19

hello alljust got home
well that was fun despite the pinkness which dd fully embraced
will post pictures later

pcW - ouch that sounds rough but he looks so cute toddling around

slng busy day have some cake
this week seems really hot, on paper at least

OP posts:
slng · 28/06/2009 19:08

Well done sfx tilly. Very pink.

No cake. But baking flapjack.

tillyfernackerpants · 28/06/2009 19:27

Lots of tutus, fairy wings & rabbit ears as well!

Sfx, meant to tell you, ds1 didn't want my medal in the end because 'it was a bit pink'!

vbus · 28/06/2009 19:30

Hurray for the runners

PCW - exciting news about DS, obviously the walking bit and not the early waking, eek

Spent all afternoon at Garstons, so much nice food, will get there earlier next time as it was packed

Btw on Fri after preschool, DS1 came home and instigated his own potty training , so far doing ok but let's see how long his enthusiasm will last

sfxmum · 28/06/2009 22:15

vbus thanks and hurrah for ds1 hope he sticks to it

slng oh yum flapjacks will bake some to take to Latitude again they keep well

tilly that is really funny dd nearly went to bed with mine

think will head for Kew tomorrow, nothing seems better than idling the day away there anyone joining us?

we still had a bottle of Champagne around so drank it today, very nice it was too

OP posts:
tillyfernackerpants · 29/06/2009 07:48

sfx, we might come to Kew after ds1 has finished nursery today. Will probably get there around 2-ish, will text you if we go

tillyfernackerpants · 29/06/2009 07:49

vbus, thanks & yay for ds1. Long may it continue!

vbus · 29/06/2009 09:51

Oh well it was short lived, he asked for his nappy to be on today. I have given him one as didn't want him to get upset over the matter. I'm pleased at his efforts though!

No Kew for us unfortunately as DS1 has his preschool booster this afternoon. Have fun

On another matter DS2 seems to have practically weaned himself off the breast . I think he eats so much he doesn't have room for much milk maybe. Not sure whether to introduce formula

sfxmum · 29/06/2009 10:28

hello

vbus dd went through phases regarding the breast, sometimes it was just because there was so much going on, does he still like the evening feed?
and DS1 will get there eventually

here dd is wearing shorts and wellies at least she has agreed not to wear tights she wants a vest for the top, seriously weather confused child.

I was hoping to be out really early and back by 12 or at least be indoors somewhere, I find it odd being out between 12-3 in hot weather that is siesta time

anyway will see how thing go I would like to go and check on my aunt but dragging child over having to change trains etc just is too much

OP posts:
vbus · 29/06/2009 10:43

Yes I'm not worried about DS1, I will just wait til he wants to try again.

The milk feeding is pretty random and I guess he is having what he needs about 3small feeds within 24hrs. It's only this weekend that I've noticed my boobs getting smaller, don't want my milk supply to disappear! Just feels weird as DS1 was the opposite and drank loads more milk and ate nothing

Cousl you visit aunt at wkend when DH can look after DD?

Yes I love the siesta time too Pity it will be disrupted by docs visit today

LOL at Minisfx dress sense. Must be catchy, last week DS1 put on his raincoat and hat to play out in the sun and today asked to wear his blue jumper

sfxmum · 29/06/2009 12:27

see still home

anyway vbus dd was very much like ds1 by 12m she was still on 4 feeds a day that went up and down and towards the end she would go for a couple of days or more without feeds

tilly might end up going this afternoon which is confusing for my autistic ways but better than just staying indoors going mad all day

I suppose I will have to get up early if I want to run tomorrow, by 10 it will be too hot I think

OP posts:
tillyfernackerpants · 29/06/2009 13:07

sfx, think we're going to stay home now! Just been out to get ds1 from nursery & its so hot. Think we'll stay in the garden so we've got some shade & the paddling pool

tillyfernackerpants · 29/06/2009 13:07

sfx, sorry, was going to say you're welcome round to ours this afternoon if you like.

sfxmum · 29/06/2009 13:12

tilly I can certainly see your point I think I will go to the shop and get readily assembled dinner then maybe bike ride later in the day

Kewcumber · 29/06/2009 16:14

hi y'all.

Tailed my sorry arse halfway across London today by bus train and camel to get results of tests into anaemia. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

So 2 unpleasant tests down and several more to go - barium meal next. At least the good news is that consultant agreed I cannot stay this low in iron and that it is indeed causing the frequency and severity of coughs, colds, tonsillitus etc that I am getting, so he is booking me in for a transfusion as a quick fix. (by the time i get an appt it may not be such a quick fix!)

sfxmum · 29/06/2009 17:19

just how long will you have to wait for a transfusion? seriously I would have though some speed was needed

OP posts:
slng · 29/06/2009 17:32

Kew How did you find a camel?

Well, it finally rained a bit here....

Anyone around Thursday pm?
