sfxmum · 10/06/2009 10:03

KC oh no that is rotten
take it ds is better?

OP posts:
SushiMummy · 10/06/2009 10:53

DH just rang to tell me his debit card has been cloned and someone withdrew 500 pounds in Argentina. Apparently, it's alot going around in this area. Be careful all.

vbus · 10/06/2009 14:26

Sushi - that is awful, will you get the money back?

KC - that too is bad news, poor you

Nice to see Tilly & PCW earlier. Tilly I've just realised I completely forgot to get the costumes off you! Can I pop round either Fri or Sat to pick up?

Sfx - DH cycled to London twice last week said it was quicker & nicer than getting the tube but legs were quite tired after doing the 50miles!

sfxmum · 10/06/2009 15:00

sushi I hope it is trouble free recovering the money

vbus dh decided against it in the end he says it was raining too much when he left

dd has been running around singing Run-DMC 'It's Tricky' and Tony basil's Hey mickey' how is it possible to have such love for both at the same time?
at least she is leaving Rocking Robin behind I can only listen to Jackson 5 so many times

and Help she is starting to talk about HSM I blame the nursery

OP posts:
tillyfernackerpants · 10/06/2009 15:59

vbus, that's ok, I forgot to bring them . Not sure if we'll be around on Fri but will be on Saturday. I can leave them outside though, am sure no-one will nick them!

Nice to see vbus & pcworld today, not sure how much longer ds2 will put up with cafe meets!

Have ordered the encyclopedia, can't wait now, even though its meant for ds1

vbus · 10/06/2009 16:52

Sfx - re: HSM, you better run and hide

Tilly - yes just leave them outside I might try and get them around 11-12 on Fri then, thanks

Which book did you get in the end?

tillyfernackerpants · 10/06/2009 18:23

vbus, just thought, I could drop them off at yours tomorrow am? I know me, I'll probably forget to leave them outside otherwise!

I got the sme one in the end though ordered online, the shop in Twickers didn't have a great selection. One of the charity shops hd one but as it was published in the 1970s thought it might be a little out of date

slng · 10/06/2009 19:02

What is HSM?

tillyfernackerpants · 10/06/2009 19:22

High School Musical

Run away now, as far as you can!

slng · 10/06/2009 19:34

We are relatively innocent here - DS1 has just progressed to Yankee Doodle. Does anyone know why he called "it" (whatever it is) macaroni?

tillyfernackerpants · 10/06/2009 19:41

slng, apparently macaroni meant a style of dress, so YD was calling himself a dandy

slng · 10/06/2009 19:46

I see! DS1 also said he rides on a donkey, which is a bit less dandy-ish than a pony, I suppose ...

tillyfernackerpants · 10/06/2009 20:43

compare the meerkat

vbus · 11/06/2009 09:33

Don't get the meerkat ref???

I never knew about YD

Tilly - will text you, just need to head out to baby clinic when DS2 wakes up as have not been for about 6wks, otherwise should be around

tillyfernackerpants · 11/06/2009 11:35

Its about the compare the market/compare the meerkat adverts, just thought it was funny there was actually a compare the meerkat website. As you can probably tell, I had a lot of time on my hands last night!

sfxmum · 11/06/2009 12:07

good morning all

tilly the dandy meerkat makes me chuckle

hope all are well here am trying to get on top of things and failing have mountains of laundry to iron or more likely shove in wardrobe

went running instead did 4 miles
got 76% on essay really must try harder

mygreatauntgriselda · 11/06/2009 12:42

Kew - thats pants about your tonsils, you have had such bad luck with your health . Both you and DS need a two week break on the beach methings, with lots of sleep and sunshine xxx

Sushi - was your DH's card and Abbey one? I have Abbey and have been cloned 3 times in past 5 months. Never thru online shopping: once in a restaurant (Lebanese on in Sandycombe Rd, Kew|) and twice in shops in Spain. He should get money back with no problems. Apparanelt Abbey have a massive problem with card fraud

SFX et al: I haven't been to Legolnd but just know I would detest it as I hate: 1 Queues, 2 Being ripped off . Am sure kids would love it, but they will never find out lol

Kewcumber · 11/06/2009 13:32

Sushi - in my experience credit card companies are pretty good at giveing the money back when its obvious the card has been cloned.

Its official I have very bad tonsilitis and a temp of 40 degrees (which didn't sound too bad until I converted to fahrenheit - 104)

Dear old mum took DS for Thursday night and tonight as GP said I wasn't well enough to be looking after him

Apparently I was ill enough that GP thought I might have swine flu!

pcworld · 11/06/2009 21:28

Oh gawd, Kew, what a nightmare - hope you're on the mend soon with the help of some strong anti-biotics. Tonsilitis is not nice.

Wow, HSM already SFX? We are no-where near that so it seems and still have a deep and fond love for Peppa Pig - including me!

DH has the day off tomorrow so our weekend starts early For anyone who doesn't know, Twickenham Festival starts on Sat (I think) and there are various things going on - there is a website somewhere ... we're going to a music day at Strawberry Hill next Sunday which sounds good.

sfxmum · 11/06/2009 22:02

KC hope you are feeling better soon although whenever I have had tonsillitis it took me a couple of weeks to feet human, take it easy

the HMS is more something dd talks about presumably because she hears about it at nursery I showed her a clip on youtube and she did not like it thankfully

am hoping for a quiet easy as we go day tomorrow we both need it and bring on the weekend

OP posts:
sfxmum · 11/06/2009 22:08

and the nursery manager was there visiting with her 6wk old baby girl today

OP posts:
tillyfernackerpants · 12/06/2009 07:28

Kew, hope you feel better soon

Sfx, thank goodness she doesn't like it. I haven't seen it but it seems horrific to me

We're off to the ILs today. Dh is away for the weekend so I'm going to get a break today as his parents just grab the boys off me as I walk through the door

vbus · 12/06/2009 08:31

Kew hope you feel better soon

Tilly - enjoy your trip, don't forget to leave clothes out please!

Going to take DS2 for his 1st swim today, excited!!

My parents are here for the weekend, my mum persuaded me to go theatre tom night, can't wait

sfxmum · 13/06/2009 10:09

so the honours list is out and I have not been made a dame

anyway good morning all

hope everyone is well and KC starting to feel better

here all very boring indeed

ASBO boy was being incredibly 'anti social' from about 1 to 5 am to him having an argument in the middle of the road seems acceptable as it is threatening neighbours
