hell everyone
hope you're all well
kew seems to have the worms fully covered, sfx, but do remember to take another dose of ovex two weeks after first one to kill off eggs.

yes, pc, the poor little animals do look rather alarmed with over-excited, heavy-handed toddlers mauling stroking them, don't they?

kew, how's ds's glands today?

mellow - thanks so much for samples. will report back!

well, am feeling very fuzzy round edges after two late nights of drinking at weekend.
friday wwent into soho for an old workmate's leaving drinks. decided to get there early and leave early [bhmm)
yeah right, first there, last to leave more like. finished nigh talking a load of shite shop with my old boss. she'll never give me a job agina, eh?!

saturday, a friend came to stay and we went to richmond riverside.
sunday was a wipeout with me dozing off whern i took the boys to the cinema.

stepfordwife · 06/04/2009 14:44

freudian slip..
hello

slng · 06/04/2009 15:17

Hello!

Just back from London Wetland Centre. Fabulous place! Bit expensive though ...

What glorious weather! Hope everyone enjoying...

Worms!!!! Eeeeekkkkk!

mellow2 · 06/04/2009 16:19

PC - No worries about Wed. Dh might take Thu off. . I'll believe it when it happens. That man is pretty much shackled to his job.

We went to Kew yesterday and it was mega busy too with hordes of over eager toddlers. We waited 30 mins for dd to handle/stroke the rabbits. When we finally got in, she was too frightened to do much.

Steppie - Pleasure.

Sfx - Thanks for info and advice.

sfxmum · 06/04/2009 16:41

hello all laptop fixed apparently easy thing done straight away Lovely

pcW LOL time for some kind of mother's little helpers

steppie thanks for info has the fog lifted yet? glad you had a nice time

slng I always mean to visit the Wetland centre as it is so near, will do so soon I think, once half term is over

mellow you are welcome

am cooking lovely toad in hole again tonight as it was such a hit last time

am sorry to have missed the lovely day being mostly stuck indoors but could not be helped
looks like the rest of the week will be very wet

OP posts:
mellow2 · 06/04/2009 17:54

toad in hole - yum!

pcworld · 07/04/2009 08:16

Morning, all! Looks as though the forecast may have been wrong, shaping up to be a nice day.

We are around in case anyone fancies a meet-up (in which case - text me) - might go for a bit of park action.

mellow2 · 07/04/2009 08:20

Morning PCW. I texted you.

SJ99 · 07/04/2009 08:49

off to Bicester village today

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 07/04/2009 09:37

Hi all, sorry I haven't been around much, am struggling with sleep deprivation & ds1

Sj, have a good time at Bicester, try not to spend too much!

Sfx, how's dd?

Kew, how's ds?

Auntie, is the honeymoon over yet?!

Am off up to my mum's tomorrow until Sunday, should be interesting as we're going on the train!

SushiMummy · 07/04/2009 09:59

Mornign all. Hope everyone is well. (KC - how's DS?) Took a day off yesterday, DH and I went to Richmond Park for a walk and had lovely Italian lunch in Richmond. Bliss!

sfx - worms! Well, I must say the nursery is fairly relaxed about general hygene but I am not keen to use anti-bac stuff myself so not too bothered, tbh. (Whispers - according to Japanese urban myth, worms prevent hayfever and my DH's hayfever was completely cured after spending a year in China as a student back in early 80s.) Must check DS's bum myself, tho.

Went to Kew Gardens zoo on Sat and it was surprisingly v quiet.

sfxmum · 07/04/2009 11:01

good morning all

looks like a good day for rainbows

sushi- no antibac not a fan just proper hand wash after toilet and before food, but I expect it is all to build up the immune system

dd seems much better thanks, we took the drugs yesterday and she slept through for the first time in ages
now I have even more laundry to do

SJ have fun

Ros sorry to hear hope it perks up just take it easy, I expect ds1 likes trains so should be entertained no?

dh seems stressed with end/ start of financial year although everything seems in order still all the what ifs must be mulled over

tillyfernackerpants · 07/04/2009 13:55

Boo!

Guess who?

mygreatauntgriselda · 07/04/2009 13:58

Tilly give us a clue!! !!

Ros - good luck on the train - am taking all three of mine to central London on Saturday for a demo and am - well not exactly relishing the though of herding them onto the trains on my own...

Thanks for asking about my beloved. The DCs are very disappointed as they are not allowed to sit in MY new car, in case they make it dirty - Haw Haw .

..and yes, we are still very much in lurve

tillyfernackerpants · 07/04/2009 14:01

auntie, you've just replied to my question

sfxmum · 07/04/2009 16:42

is this another character?

have found out my course has 3 full school days I clearly had not read it properly
is it not enough that I have to participate on online group discussions I have to be sociable face to face! Lordy not sure am ready for this

hope everyone is having a nice day, all quite here as dd wanted 'just you and me mummy at home' suits me

auntie start them young on the activism, can only do them good

OP posts:
tillyfernackerpants · 07/04/2009 17:12

Not another character, something my mum used to call me, haven't found anyone yet who's ever heard of it!

pcworld · 07/04/2009 18:23

SFX, is that 3 full days every week or just a one-off? Glad you had a good day.

I enjoyed catching up with Mellow plus beautiful dd, we managed a vaguely civilised cuppa in a cafe too And Ros, it was good to see you this afternoon. ds is in bed already, exhausted from all the exploring beneath your dining room table! And I am just having a quick glass of merlot before making some last-minute Easter cards with dd before bedtime at 7!

Off to find the glue which has probably all stuck and not working any more.

Tilly - you need to give us more clues!

tillyfernackerpants · 07/04/2009 18:33

pc, you saw me this pm! I can't believe what a little explorer ds is, no wonder you're exhausted! Dh asked who had been today, ds1 said 'Charlie & lola'!

pcworld · 07/04/2009 18:53

LOL Tilly!!! Easter cards made, just need to be "written". I'm off for a long bath now, glass of wine in hand

SJ99 · 07/04/2009 19:11

Hello all

I think I've worked it out Tilly, if so have a fab trip, hope journey goes well. Nope, can't say I've heard of the name...

Auntie - LOL at DC not being allowed in car, have your cling wrapped the back seats then?

Sfx - glad to hear DD is on the mend & sleeping better. Also good news about your laptop

Sushi - your trip sounds lovely

Bicester was great fun, met a friend from uni and her 2 boys there, they all played in the playground for hours while we sat having hot beverages & lunch! Alas we only went in one shop, DS1 quickly marched behind the ccounter and asked to help, the shop assistants were fortunately v.friendly and not snooty, gave him a calculator and he was allowed to scan a few items, he loved it!

SJ99 · 07/04/2009 19:13

PCW - enjoy wine & bath, sounds luurrvely

tillyfernackerpants · 07/04/2009 19:15

sj, aww bless, that's probably made his day!!

I'm about to join pcw in having a bath & a glass of wine

sfxmum · 07/04/2009 19:43

pcW 3 full days between May and October

enjoy wine & bath all of you partaking in the necessary treat

SJ that is really sweet

I want to catch up with the silly Heroes after saying last week that I would not bother

reading my book would be a worthier pursuit just not sure I can stay awake

OP posts:
slng · 07/04/2009 20:33

sfx - Heroes a bit tiresome these days. But Hiro is back! I like him. Also about wetland centre - it was very busy yesterday but there was still plenty of room for 4 kids to zoom about without causing havoc. I pity the ducks.

SJ - what nice shop assistants!

Tilly and PC in a bath together!
