slng · 03/04/2009 15:18

Hello!

Meant to go to Northala fields, but silly DS1 opened his car door as I was driving off so he was severely castigated and plan was cancelled. Bit bored now though ...

mygreatauntgriselda · 03/04/2009 17:16

Hi Muesli - hope to meet you over Easter

Kew sorry to hear that DS is so poorly, give him a big hug from me Xmas Sad

Sfx - feeling for you

Have been packing away Ds2 clothes so far but cannot bring myself to get rid of them Also finally sorted out my maternity wardrobe, need to get rid of those too, boo hoo.
By the way Auntie I found a blue top you gave me, do you want it back or should I give it to Paddle/charity?

pcworld · 03/04/2009 22:04

SFX, a man in mid-life crisis would not be purchasing a people carrier, no? Although perhaps this is the female equivalent of the porsche? Anyway, Auntie - all jealous over here and hope you are enjoying the new addition

SFX, hope you are ok.

At this end, all is good - my mum is here! Enjoyed ds's birthdayday - trying to upload some FB pics but for some reason it is not happening.

What about Kew Gdns next Weds, anyone around then? Museli, nice to see you back on here again

pcworld · 03/04/2009 22:07

PS, SJ - dd has ended up sleeping in bed with me! And just one very small teddy bear on the Thomas ready bed

sfxmum · 04/04/2009 09:45

good morning all

SJ&pcW thanks both it is fine wasn't expecting the casual remark, I told him I wasn't ready and he replied 'well it would be at least another yet another year and then we can get a new one'

yes I expect if it were a man he would go for 'red shiny and shaped like a penis' to quote Buffy

can only do Kew on Wednesday after 1pm as it is nursery day

PCW - Glad that ds had a lovely birthday. I'm up for Kew next Wed. What time were you aiming for?

Kew - Hope ds is better.

Museli · 04/04/2009 17:48

Thanks for the kind welcome, people

pcworld, I'll be at Kew Gardens meeting a pal next Wednesday from around 11, so let me know if you do decide to go!

Hello all

Slng - hope you're enjoying your new acquisition

PCW - sorry can't make Weds, hope to see you another time. At least teddy didn't have any issues with hogging the duvet

Brighton was good fun, made it to the beach and the do was good. DS1 had his performance debut and went on stage with some other kids to sing some nursery rhymes. In the end he just stood there but was pleased to get an Easter egg for his efforts

mygreatauntgriselda · 05/04/2009 14:40

SJ - Bless him, that sounds brilliant!!

sfxmum · 05/04/2009 15:51

hello all

hope everyone is having a lovely weekend

SJ that sounds great hope the weather was kind too

here I am convinced dd has worms any experience? must make an appointment to see the GP but tomorrow we are being invaded by the geek brigade as both out laptops need servicing and I booked a couple of deliveries as well
all at undetermined times
so offline and stuck at home

SFX - itchy bum and huge appetite?

mygreatauntgriselda · 05/04/2009 19:54

...

sfxmum · 05/04/2009 21:10

auntie - not really huge appetite yet but lots of night waking with itchy bum over this last week

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 05/04/2009 23:11

no need for GP sfx - have a look at bum closely with torch last thing at night. You'll see the little buggers, tiny and white and wriggly. Then get down to chemist and buy tablets for all three of you - only one tablet needed but you need to make sure hands and bum washed well at night and in morning for a few days as eggs can survive a few days.

If you go to GP they will tell you to look for yourself at night (the little buggers only come out at night).

Can you tell I have experience

sfxmum · 06/04/2009 10:16

Kew thanks that seems to be the general advice I am quite careful with hand washing and underwear wash change and so on but recently I have noticed some things going on at nursery, not sure how thorough they are with the hand washing pre meals and post toilet, dd often comments that the taps are hard to open

good morning everyone, hope all are well

my parcels have arrived but it appears the techs are due after 1pm

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 06/04/2009 11:59

I don't think you can avoid it when they are really samll tbh - to be completely sure you'd have to scrub their fingers nails and tips with a nailbrush and soap every night! And even that isn't fool proof once they're at nursery.

Kewcumber · 06/04/2009 12:00

tents for midgets is on its way and should arrive shortly

sfxmum · 06/04/2009 12:08

I remember having worms when I was small yuck yuck

tent Kew that is exciting when are you planning on going? we should be there from Thursday to Monday I hope like last year
and how is ds?

pcworld · 06/04/2009 14:17

Hi all, just popping in to say hello, have been mega-busy. Went to Kew Gdns with mum this morning, it was lovely and predictably mobbed as the animals are there. I felt sorry for them, it was soooo busy, so many toddlers "petting" them.

Unsure now whether we will make Kew on Weds as dh is now off work and we may go out of London for the day, weather dependant.

Hope you are all enjoying this wonderful weather. dd is on hols now for 2 weeks and so we are very happy!
