Hello all!

Had busy but nice day yesterday. Spent today hunting for b'day presents ...

sfx - will keep you posted on holiday! We are lazy people and like nothing better than lazing about and beach provides natural entertainment for kids. As long as it is not blowing a gale. Which it might, I suppose. But a trip to Paris would certainly be on the agenda. Must try to get on double decker RER! How exciting is that! We looked at another nearby holiday possibility - coast of Belgium. They've got a tram running along the coast in the summer!

slng · 29/03/2009 19:32

aunty is that the actual troop-mobil? Very red.

SJ99 · 29/03/2009 19:38

Auntie - nice wheels

Sfx - Yes might be a bit on the cool side in May, depends where you go in Scandinavia, probably will be v.sunny though

Had a nice wkend just chilling. DH went off to watch boat race today and still not back, wonder what state he will return in
Think I will have a natter on the phone tonight and catch up with some pals

pcworld · 29/03/2009 19:42

Hello everyone! NICE car, Auntie, woo hoo!

Busy weekend here, knackered and a bit ratty! But it has been good. Managed to plant some rhubarb plus raspberries which I am regretting a bit as they will take a long time and will be hard work - plus rocket and herbs including mint for my pimms! Also some quick growing climbers. Exciting! Just need to keep them alive now.

SJ, 10-ish fine, will text in the morning to see how the land lies.

Hope the clocks changing has not effected anyone adversely, we managed to push ds's naps back so here's hoping we don't have a 5am start tomorrow lol!

mygreatauntgriselda · 29/03/2009 20:18

Beep! Beep! Can't wait to stroke drive it again

mygreatauntgriselda · 29/03/2009 20:19

PC you'll enjoy the rocket a least - you get loads - even I can row that lol!! Impressed by your green fingers

Slng - "troop mobil"

mygreatauntgriselda · 30/03/2009 08:37

...two more sleeps not until I can collect Bratmobil

pcworld · 30/03/2009 09:03

Bratmobile looks HUGE, Auntie! Perhaps you can take the MN collective for a day trip to Brighton in it

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 30/03/2009 09:27

pc, am very impressed by your gardening, I really need to get ours sorted!

auntie, car looks great lol@bratmobile!

Looks like a nice day, not sure what we're going to do. Have the car which is a bonus, & am tempted to head to the coast!

sfxmum · 30/03/2009 09:36

good morning

huge wagon auntie

pcW the garden sounds wonderful

Kew will email you soon about pictures

had a nice time with dd yesterday sans buggy and full on public transport she entertained people on buses instigating sing-alongs to the wheel on the bus

then on the train a group of teens were telling a joke with a punchline containing the word Bitch which obviously dd found she had to repeat, cue 'you must not repeat that word' stern look to teen giggles word sterner look more giggles...

hope everyone has a nice day looks lovely I will endeavour to do as little as possible

Morning!

At office now. Am exhausted after spending morning hunting for kids' drinking cups. Saw them as we were heading out - tucked away in corner underneath table...

sfx - tunnel.

SJ99 · 30/03/2009 14:24

Hello all

Sfx - have no idea, DH got in around midnight well after I went to bed and he left for work before I got up today! Glad you enjoyed party despite incident on public transport

PCW - nice to catch up with you I'm also impressed with your garden

Ros - meant to say I loved Cities of gold growing up, esp the theme tune

mygreatauntgriselda · 30/03/2009 17:51

Slng we lose several drinking cups each day and they turn up several days later, needing a good scrub

Have you seen the Paperchase drinking cups in Dickens & Jones, they are gorgeous

We have Skulls, cute Kitties and the long skinny dog one

pcworld · 30/03/2009 19:05

SJ - thank you!!! I did have second thoughts en route - but as dd sat happily reading and chatting and asking questions on the way back, I was glad that I'd made the effort! Now the ready bed is inflated (already!) and dd insisting that she "must sleep on it tonight"!! It looks great - thanks, again.

Off now to do some ironing

SJ99 · 30/03/2009 19:19

PCW - No worries, sorry wasn't there to meet & greet but glad you got the book. I had a peek in it, it's lovely, will be getting one for DS1 next b'day LOL at wanting to sleep in bed tonight, not sure how comfy they are but DS1 always slept well in it!

Auntie - thanks for tip on nice cups, need to get one for Ds2, will have a look in there

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 31/03/2009 07:45

morning all, can I just say I hate BST? Why can't we just leave it alone!! And breathe...

Sj/pc, being nosy now, what's the book?

Really must get cleaned up today, ds1 in nursery, poor ds2 will be moved from room to room in his bouncy chair!

pcworld · 31/03/2009 09:02

Ah, Ros - memories ... it is so easy when they just sit in a bouncy chair and look around At this end it is now total chaos, ds is crawling, investigating and generally being a little terror - so fat chance of cleaning up.

The book is dd's first encyclopedia - she is very into facts and is totally obsessed with the solar system, animals and north america (why?) at the moment! So, I am feeding these obsessions, it is great fun.

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 31/03/2009 09:30

I was looking at getting one of them for ds1's xmas pressie, wish I had now! Will definitely get one though!

mygreatauntgriselda · 31/03/2009 09:40

Just thought I would mention I only have ONE more sleep until I can be with my new baby

mygreatauntgriselda · 31/03/2009 09:41

I know you are all as excited as I am Hee Hee

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 31/03/2009 09:41

auntie, how long is it until you get your car? Don't think you've told us

sfxmum · 31/03/2009 09:56

good morning all

dd late to nursery am debating whether to go running or nap
