Very nice MrsR!

sfxmum · 27/03/2009 14:03

hello all

as most of you know by now dd got into the local school, our first choice oh yes

nice to see SJ&pcW with respective children, excuse for my spaced out demeanour, as suggested I went over to the food hall and got the dine on a £10 with extra veggies and extra pudding, can't be too saintly

dd is running around playing with her remote control car, it is very noisy

mrsR hope you enjoy your naughty weekend

Hello all

Nice to catch up with you Sfx & PCW & all DC Glad you got the meal deal, nice to have a treat to look fwd to. Might have to bring it to DH's attention that offer is on this weekend! Will email hols info later.

PCW - am free Mon am if you want to pop round for bed & cuppa, or can drop round to you if that's easier?

KC - 5ft is luxury, ours is only about 3ft high

MrsR - congrats on job, yay! Glad to hear school is being v.supportive about dd2, must be a relief for you

Ros - sounds like a spurt, make the most of it while he sleeps!

pcworld · 27/03/2009 14:33

Meal deal = good - and extra pud = very, very good!

Mrs R, are you feeling ok?

SJ, I'm happy to come to you if that's easier. Am v grateful of the offer, it will help us out a lot!

Am so silly - have just viewed the "5 ghostly photos" on the Times website (front page) and spooked myself out big time! They really are interesting.

MrsRecycle · 27/03/2009 14:45

Am completely spaced out now pcw - doh why did I take the maximum dose the doc recommended? Plus my lovely cm took ds today and is due to drop him off in a mo. And we have 2 viewings a bit later on.

pcworld · 27/03/2009 14:47

Was it a trapped nerve or something? Hope you are ok, sounds like a bit of a day or maybe even a bit of a week! - but good luck with the house viewings!

SJ99 · 27/03/2009 15:02

MrsR - what's wrong? good luck with viewings

PCW - no probs, about 10ish ok? Just had look at ghosty pics, v.spooky. There is a big house behind us and everyday an old lady looks out of the window at the same time, we call her the ghost lady

sfxmum · 27/03/2009 15:05

SJ thanks

pcW had a look at ghosty pics don't get spooked by ghost there are advantages in being a heathen

mrsR glad the drugs are working just stay away from the brownies

Hi sorry I can't keep up with this thread atm!!

Am lurking tho'

Having finished swimathon I am still chasing promised funding (sigh) and also had to buy a new car as old one has some "ishoos" with its engine. Just put a deposit on a nearly new car.

DH said to me last night "as long as its not Japanese or red I don't mind what we get"

Took him with me to test drive the car I had spotted today and we've bought it

It is a red Toyota Previa lol!!!

MrsRecycle · 27/03/2009 15:44

LOL auntie - I like toyota's, very reliable.

Sj/pc my neck has completely frozen, causing a trapped nerve down my neck to my arm. The massage has eased it quite a bit. I was screaming out for gas and air at 2am last night it was that painful.

slng · 27/03/2009 16:49

MrsR - oh no! Hope drugs work. Dh had that years ago and I'm still traumatised!

Aunty - I go for Japanese car. Gets you from A to B with minimal fuss. What more do you want from a car?

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 27/03/2009 17:19

auntie, have you been collecting your Sun vouchers? We're hoping for Camber Sands (again lol)

MrsR big ouch for your neck, hope it unfreezes soon!

Just thinking that come Sept its probably going to be weekend meetups only except for school holidays

SJ99 · 27/03/2009 18:01

Auntie - LOL
Slng - my thoughts exactly!

MrsR - ouch, hope you feel better soon, take it easy

Ros - at the thought. Has your Ds1 got morning or afternoon place from Sept? Mine has afternoon place

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 27/03/2009 18:19

Don't know until end of May but think it will probably be a morning!

MrsRecycle · 27/03/2009 18:19

Thanks ros/sj - my ds should be starting this Sept as well, but I haven't even started the ball rolling. Totally forgot in amongst everything that's been going on.

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 28/03/2009 08:52

Morning all, how is everyone?

MrsR hope the shoulder is better.

Sfx, I have a BSG evening planned tonight . I might have to get the whole series as well, I will miss it. Still, we have this & this to look forward to!

Am feeling very spaced out this morning, ds2 woke up at 12am to have a little chat with us, he was still going strong at 2am

mygreatauntgriselda · 28/03/2009 10:19

Mrs R that sounds agony - you need an Italian Stallion to adminsiter massage to your neck don't you?

Slng/Mrs R - totally agree with you about Japanesecars being reliable. This one is a big workhorse, eight seats, sliding doors, only 24K on the clock (verified). Looks like a plain van (which is probably why DH liked it). I think he is worried that parts will be expensive but I've spent so much on my Vauxhall with all its problems over the last two years - wld never buy Vauxhall again I think

Only 4 more sleeps until we pick up new car

Ros - yes we've booked the Isle of Wight for June - did you get a priority booking number? Where are you thinking of going this time? They said we were entitled to one 'cos we booked a Spring break (May bank holiday week in Somerset- yipee)

MrsRecycle · 28/03/2009 11:44

Am feeling better but bruised from massage yesterday - yes a Italian would have made it more pleasurable . We said that about vauxhalls as well - cheap but just don't last. Can't wait to see your new car.

Ros - hope you manage to grab a nap or two today - you can't help but adore their gurglings, even at some ungodly hour can you? Camber sands - if you don't get anything, I know a few people with vans, just as cheap as the sun. Also, my df's sometimes have a sun holiday they don't want, I could listen out for you.

sfxmum · 28/03/2009 16:00

hello all

Ros I do so envy you I got the SFX special edition on Galactica, have my LOTR and Buffy ones carefully kept away
I always fear for prequels but keeping the faith the webisodes were great
hope you have a quiet day

auntie nothing like a man who know what he wants hey

mrsR I hope you are feeling better

SJ info looks great thanks so picturesque

I went to have my hair done this morning plus a spot of indulgent shopping, met dd and dh for lunch then got back home with dd while dh goes and does his own thing all in all a balanced day

OP posts:
rosisdreamingofchocolate · 28/03/2009 17:54

We've had a bit of a cosy afternoon. Dh & ds1 went to the supermarket for a dvd & some treats so all four of us have snuggled up and watched Kung Fu Panda!

Sfx, meant to send you this link, what we were talking about the other day! Wonder if it will bring back memories for anyone else?!

mygreatauntgriselda · 28/03/2009 21:12

Ros/SFXsounds ,like you both had nice days x

We did swimming then mega Tescos shop, then slouched in front of TV and actually READ A BOOK

Whooop Whoop - very rare I get the opportunity!!

Can't wait until tomorow, when it'll only be 3 sleeps until I get new car

don't forget the clocks go forward tonight

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 29/03/2009 08:55

sfx

sfxmum · 29/03/2009 10:47

oh yes ros I wept too

morning all am off to party with child while dh goes to work he is terribly envious

hope everyone is well

slng we might be going to the place you linked too, dh can only go in early May now so might be too cold still for Scandinavia but it is definitely on the list look like my kind of place am not really one for the beach

was thinking we might pop to Lille and Paris or just lazy about if the weather is reasonably good

OP posts:
sfxmum · 29/03/2009 11:02
