not the outdoor type either, hence the

pcworld · 24/03/2009 13:44

Yep, we too got soaked to the skin yesterday. And of course by the time we got home it was lovely. Grrr ...

Ros, ds's middle name is Tarquin

All this talk of tents is making me very . Think we need a bigger car to accommodate all the gear. Thus making it even more expensive. Maybe next year!

rosmerta · 24/03/2009 13:46

oops

mygreatauntgriselda · 24/03/2009 13:57

Hi just whizzing through and very of all those Latituding this summer

I deffo wanna go next year, when the Fat Toddler will be three and more civilised (I hope)and DD will be 7 and DS 10. This year would be a bit too much I think, at their ccurrent ages

Kew thanks for that :: here is the sponsorship link: nspcc.tributefunds.com/fund/St+Patrick%60s+Day+swim+for+Baby+P/showFund/FID/178

SSorry to hear about your aneamia, your not having much luck with your bloods are you? Have no advice though, I know nothing of blood matters/iron etc

SushiMummy · 24/03/2009 14:14

Good afternoon all.

KC - sorry to hear about your blood/iron problems. Hope these injections (sound painful!) increase your energy levels. How is paddle? Haven't seen her for ages.

steppie - how is the new kitchen? Bet you are loving it!

sfx/KC/ros/PCW - camping... hmmmm... My heart says yes but my body says no (bad experience with insects).

slng - I had one from the lunch set menu which was OK. I noticed the Chinese menu is slightly different from the English one. How do you write the potato salad dish in Chinese?

slng · 24/03/2009 14:30

sushi - The green title

slng · 24/03/2009 14:32

LOL at Ros! Shouldn't really, but it's funny!

SushiMummy · 24/03/2009 14:53

slng - thanks! I deffo try it next time (I'm sure that was in the English menu!). Any other dishes you recommend?

Kewcumber · 24/03/2009 14:57

intramuscular injections are never great but I've had tehn daily before so every other day for 10 days should be manageable. Hopefully it will alleviate the tiredness quite quickly.

stepfordwife · 24/03/2009 15:28

hello everyone

kew, you're allowed to sleep on my sofa any time, m'dear. but sure the jabs will do their job quickly

sushi, yes am enjoying the kitchen thankyou. but, whisper it, actually miss the builders!

pcworld · 24/03/2009 16:09

Aw Ros - I was only JOKING !!

stepfordwife · 24/03/2009 16:47

stepfordwife · 24/03/2009 16:48

sfxmum · 24/03/2009 16:57

Sfx - hilarious Have to agree, it was a very civilised affair. I'm v of all festival talk. DH & I said we're deffo going next year
Ros - great that you'll be coming too

PCW - like your gag

Kew - good luck with injections, hope it gives you the energy boost you need

Hope everyone had a nice Mother's day and did as little as possible.
IL's have just left after their 5day visit which on the whole was fairly succesful. Took DS2 for jabs today and to docs as he just can't seem to shift this blasted eye infection Otherwise, all going well

BTW will probably go to little fishes Weds am, text me if anyone wants to join us.

stepfordwife · 24/03/2009 22:00

hi sfx
love overheard convos..
pretty good description of franz ferdinand..have always maintained they rip off take influences from talking heads

sj, sorry ds2 can't get rid of his eye infection, poor little thing. what does doc say?
have just (don't tell anyone) watched mistresses for the first time
the music!
naffer than made-for-TV-movie-hallmark-channel-rolled-into-one

Kewcumber · 24/03/2009 22:02

not tempted to LAtitude it then Stepie.

First sharp stab in the bottom tomorrow...

rosmerta · 25/03/2009 07:29

PCworld, phew, that'll teach me

Kew, ouch!

Ds2 slept from 7pm to 6.30am last night

Think we're going to have a lazy day today. In fact, I'm contemplating not even getting dressed until its necessary!

SushiMummy · 25/03/2009 07:38

pcw - lol! great gag!

sfx - lol at L'atitude convos, I must say, I'm even more scared now!

sj - hope DS2's eye gets better. Poor him.

KC - are you off to IoW soon? Good luck with the injection.

mellow2 · 25/03/2009 08:11

SJ - Poor mite. Does the doctor know what's causing it?

Kew - Ouch! I was a real wuss when it came to needles until I started acupunture (with an acupunturist with 20 years experience).

Steppie - I sent you 2 e-mails. Did you get them?

pcworld · 25/03/2009 08:48

Sorry, I know my "jokes" are rubbish

SJ, sorry to hear about the dratted eye infection, poor wee thing. Glad the ILs visit went well.

Poor Kew, hope it is not too horrid for you today, injections are never fun.

SJ99 · 25/03/2009 08:58

PCW - I liked the one about the leak/leek too!

Ros - well done DS2 and lucky you!

Docs say DS2 probbaly has an immature tear duct so after each course of eye drops infection appears to have gone but probably keeps returning as he heasn't been able to fully clear bug from ducts. They said if it hasn't gone by 1yr then he has to go to eye hospital surgery to pump it out Let's hope it doesn't come to that, he did say that was extreme

sfxmum · 25/03/2009 09:32

good morning all

kew good luck with injections, I seem to be the only person who does not mind needles, dh calls it a fetish

SJ glad inlaws visit was fairly painless, mine are coming a the end of May
hope the eye sorts itself out

pcW yes the leak joke was funny

ros result, yes pj day is almost always a good idea

steppie mistresses?! and I don't mind FranzF they were fairly entertaining live however The Killers success is baffling

sushi it is not scary but source of great entertainment I find, especially listening to the strange people

dd did not sleep well at all dh did the honours as I was shattered, anyway she got up had breakfast and wanted to go to nursery so not all bad

Kewcumber · 25/03/2009 10:21

I don't actually mind injections either, just as well as I ad to inject myself for months. Its just that I know the intramuscular ones hurt - don;t mind the needle - Its the pain I object to!

Sushi - are you booking for lattitude then.

Have become a tent geek

sfxmum · 25/03/2009 10:28

had a look at the thread Kew I really do think you will be best served with an Outwell I hate very low tents as I am claustrophobic, the one we have is really easy to put up then you just need air beds and sleeping bags

the thing about normal needles is that I quite like the sort of sharp little pain as it breaks the skin, is that weird?
but the intramuscular are different
