dh is convinced the entire west london gang watched him when out and about with dd then report back to me this happened only once, sushi saw him chasing dd down the road and he has been slightly paranoid ever since

bunyanvillas · 31/10/2008 16:40

SFX - lol re: your dh !!!!!

Not about to switch allegiance but sorry, have always had a slight thing for the foppish haircuts!

mellow2 · 31/10/2008 16:42

you know where I am mellow

bunyan so Bill is just the tip of the iceberg perv if you say Boris is yummy I might be ill

SJ99 · 31/10/2008 16:51

Bunyan - it must be him, he's unique! During winter he still wears his 3piece suit with a smart winter coat with fur trim collar, very apt. DH aspires to be him when he's that age He's a sweet guy and always v. friendly to DS. Will look out for article.

Am going to make parkin tomrrow, DH had never heard of it til he met me

SJ99 · 31/10/2008 16:52

LOL at Bill Oh no best run and hide, can hear trick or treaters in the street

mellow2 · 31/10/2008 17:13

Sfx - The chef I was telling about is Richard Bertinet.

This is the recipe book I got my croissant recipe from.

thanks mellow

here is the Christmas at Kew stuff I was on about here

bunyanvillas · 31/10/2008 19:22

SJ, yes it was him - he was wearing a fur-trimmed coat and looked very perky.

Have been handing out eyeballs at this end.

SFX, honestly. Boris?!?! Yuk. However, I do still maintain that Bill has a certain glint in his eye.

spookysausage · 31/10/2008 19:55

a a great Trick or Treatng time [hmile] with DD

The roads were swarming with little witches, monsters and skeletons, plus some grown up witches, including a transvestite with a great pair of legs!!

One house had a real Dalek greeting everyone

another had a green dismembered hand running around the hallway

and other had a mock gravestone in the front garden, with witeherd feet sticking up out of the lawn!!

rosmerta · 31/10/2008 21:52

wow spooky, some people take it seriously round your way! Best we could do was the biggest bucket of sweets and then we hardly got anyone!

Sj, dh hadn't heard of it either! Think I will have to make some tomorrow, though I don't think we're going to make the fireworks at Ravenscourt.

Sfx, I'm around Monday if you fancy meeting up? And anyone else!

mellow2 · 31/10/2008 22:10

Spooky - Sound like dd and you had a good time.

Sfx - Christmas at Kew sounds fun. Dd's pre school breaks early for Christmas so it would be good that Kew has activities to entertain her.

Morning all - oooh I can't wait for Christmas now!!

I keep thinking about that disemembered hand we met last night runnin around in the hallway LOL!!!

Haven't seen DS1 for two days as he was out at a party last night and had a sleepover - am starting to miss the noise!

MrsRecycle · 01/11/2008 11:11

Hi ladies! Hope you had a lovely Halloween.

Its all been happening in the Recycle household whilst LOs have been away at my DMs for the week. Good news first...we got an offer on our house yesterday - first viewing, on the market for 2 weeks, not even in the paper yet. Its a lot less than we've marketed the house for so we've rejected it but am hoping they will come back with a better offer.

Bad news...the job I was headhunted for didn't materialise, I reckon they're cutting budgets but they spun me a yarn about CV going astray which I know is crap. But at least I'm still in my contract which is going ok.

MrsRecycle · 01/11/2008 11:14

oh and I forgot the best bit of news...I'm rich! The gas and electric company owes me £1000 as I've over paid DDs and we don't have an AP anymore so bills have gone down drastically.

Talking of Au Pairs, I also got a text off the awol finnish one in the week saying she wanted to meet up when she comes to London in a few weeks and that everything that she did, she did the wrong way - not even a sorry...

sfxmum · 01/11/2008 14:59

mrsR congrats on house offer and extra cash always handy

feels so wintry out, managed to go out before it got bad now enjoying a quiet house should catch up with study but just fancy the paper and the book with a nice cup of coffee

slng · 01/11/2008 19:35

Evening all!

What a very wet day! Luckily bought a pair of pink wellies (children's size 2 ) yesterday, so no wet feet!

MrsR - shame about the job... Good news with gas bill though! Is it npower? They are the best company ever - they gave us back all our payment one year!

Mellow - I have a recipe book I got from malaysia which has recipes for paratha and murtabak and stuff, but I haven't tried them yet because it's not a recipe book for novice. One chicken curry recipe forgot to tell you to add the chicken ...

Hope everyone fine. DS1 woke up twice last night complaining of pain in his foot. Checked his shoes and they were fine. I wonder what can be the problem ...

MrsRecycle · 01/11/2008 21:11

snap slng I'm a size 2. It was Atlantic they wanted me to keep payment the same as well ..
