Fishcakes didn't get made, was far too lazy last night. However, I do have a veggie shepherds pie on the go now, just waiting for the brown lentils to soak. There was a good pull-out in the guardian the other Sat and am working my way through it. How are we all this fine morning?

Anyone heard from Paddle? I am becomming quite the facebook stalker looking for updates on Nick. Does anyone know how Paddle is holding up? I don't even know if she is spending time at the hospital or at work. Jeez, I am nosy.

athene good news on nanny afaik paddle has spent most of the time at the hospital not heard from her since Sunday afternoon but am reluctant to call in case it is intrusive but have been texting. really hope things are ok.

Birthday fever over here, DH yesterday and DS today. He has gone to preschool but will do pressies, cards & cake later this afternoon. Actually went out for a meal yesterday which was a success.

DS2 weight going up and he has self weaned off formula His suction power is immense = pain for me He's still jaundiced so have to go back to hossie tom again, I seem to spend every other day there or have midwife/HV over here for checks.

Slng - don't worry about dressing, I'm in complete slummy mummy mode, stay in my pj's most days! Ignore your friends comments, not helpful

Bunyan - I'm dreading my mum going on Fri, she's been a big help. I can empathise that you're sad your mum has gone

IL's arrive on Fri for nearly a week, wish me luck with their visit

Morning all. Just a really quite pop in to see if there is any news from paddle. RL has been manic recently. DH is hardly at home these days (work is ridiculously busy, I know I shouldn't complain when others are being made redundant left, right and centre).

I am swamped with things to do for the school fair this wekend, ( I am currently in the throws of making 100 bags of reindeer food ). This Sunday I don't plan to get out of bed!!!!!

Hope every is well. WIll hopefully have more time for MN next week so will try and catch up on everyones news then!

No Paddle is not working atm mostly at hospital or doing NIck related stuff. Work have been very good about it.

No change in Nicks condition overnight - for better or worse.

have just been downstairs doing speed-designing of cupboards and units in mine and dh's usual by the seat-of-our-pants style, although have had ages to think about it, because the cupboard man was suddenly downstairs.

compounded by bad period pains (mine not the cupboard man's) and shooting dh filthy looks as he cracked jokes to jolly me along

anyhow, he's now gone to pick up dcs with orders to buy me chocolate and magazines....

Things ok here. Had to go to hospital this morning where they were running an hour late with appts, very irritating. Had to do last minute ringing around to get someone to pick ds up from nursery!

Okay, it wa only verbal. But should have the contract e-mailed to me tonight or tomorrow so was thinking I'd go tomorrow to sort out a written offer and then I'll hand in my resignation.
