Steppie - LOL at difficulty in expressing anger too. I, on the other hand, have an incredibly short fuse and no trouble "over-expressing" my anger. But I share your frustration about jobsworths.

Well, the shop is getting so busy that it's encroaching on my MN time. And it's only Nov.

Hope paddle gets better news today too.

Bunyan - Sorry to hear that ds is keeping you up. I hope your mom will be able to help you get some rest.

Sfx - I made choc chip cookies but the choc chips melted [shame]. On the bright side, I did manage to get chewy cookies after 2 attempts.

mellow I remember making a recipe of triple choc cookies with chunks of white dark and milk chocolate, honestly the dough was just there to hold the gooey stuff and nuts together absolutely divine

must drop you an email regarding shop, a couple of things I want toward the end of the month

mellow2 · 19/11/2008 17:02

Sfx - If you want any Suki products, let me know soon as they're selling out fast. The new re-packaged versions are smaller and cost more. I'm still waiting for the marketing angle.

Otherwise, everything else, other than sari bags, is restockable.

Can I have your cookie recipe? It sounds really delicious!

mellow2 · 19/11/2008 17:17

Hope there some good news for Paddle and family.

DH and I have D&V and both off work today. It could be the sausages DH cooked the previous night but DS is fine, so , could it be virus or something we caught from the swimming pool?

Hope everyone is well.

sfxmum · 19/11/2008 20:43

sorry to hear sushi hope you feel better soon, your little boy seemed full of beans today

thanks Mellow

am abandoning Heroes to iplayer in favour of something new today

mygreatauntgriselda · 19/11/2008 20:57

Hi any news from Paddle QC??

Well done for finding cheap parking in Hammersmith for her (must ask you about that sometime...)

Mellow glad business is doing well in challenging times - proves its good value

SFX - so the BNP mmbership got leaked eh?

HaHaHahaHaHaHa

HaHaHaHaHa

now all I have to do is find it online........apparently it is now freely available so w can all check whether anyone we talk to is actually a closet fascist

BNP are cmplaining about the Police Fed or being Fascist for banning them for working for Police

HaHaHa

mellow2 · 19/11/2008 21:09

Sushi - Hope dh and you feel better. Did ds eat much sausage?

Auntiegriselda - Thanks. I'm mostly getting orders for cheap reusable shopping bags (must be the top present this Christmas). There's a lot of seasonal stock that will be unsold by the end of winter. But, at least I don't have any business loans. Otherwise it would be a disaster.

Everytime I type auntie it brings a smile to my lips . If you're an auntie, so am I.

nick had sedation stopped yesterday afetrnoon and he hasn't come round yet so they are testing him to see if there is still sedative in his system. So no real change. I thnk they are planning to reduce his blood pressure drugs tomorrow to see if that makes a difference.

The waiting must be so hard for them.

mygreatauntgriselda · 19/11/2008 22:34

Mellow

AtheneNoctua · 20/11/2008 10:45

Oh no, Kew. They stopped sedation yesterday and he hasn't woken up. I'm no doctor but that doesn't sound good.

Poor poor paddle.

(Athene says more prayers)

sfxmum · 20/11/2008 11:04

good morning all

worrying news about Nick still keeping hope going

hope everyone is ok today

stepfordwife · 20/11/2008 12:31

hello, everyone
yes, the waiting must be so hard for them. hoping for good news for nick today.

mellow, glad the shop is busy. have yo got any fab shampoos and conditioners for mad irish hair which is more wory and dry than a brillo pad?
am getting it cut and coloured next week, tho. counting down....

right, MUST do some work..downstairs are the builders, an electrician, and, finally, the guys doing the worktop template, all asking me questions which i fear i'm not giving very informed answers to..
at the risk of sounding girlie and stereotypical, i just do the colours, Ok?

stepfordwife · 20/11/2008 12:32

wiry, even

stepfordwife · 20/11/2008 13:58

ok, can now add running and down two flights of stairs to answer questions every five minutes to my aerobic exercise of the school, literally, run
..still haven't got it into their heads i'm only the colour person....

sfxmum · 20/11/2008 14:26

deffo aerobic exercise steppie hope building work is progressing well

the retail park has gone mad due to Marks sale utter madness in carpark and tills
I went there unaware to pick up a few things for dinner and barely made it out with frazzled child

and btw am famous was quote of the week on newsletter thing is it's the actual truth

AtheneNoctua · 20/11/2008 15:28

Steppy, Is Irish hair known to be wiry? The things I learn on here. My hair is pretty wiry/dry. I have recently discovered an Aveda product that I like. Unfortunately, the name escapes me just now. But, it's the only one that comes in a blue bottle and it replaced the sap moss line if that's any help.

BTW, I don't hink getting it coloured will help the wiry problem...

I am now terribly worried about Paddle and her brother, not seeing any update on here. Will go check FB.

bunyanvillas · 20/11/2008 17:31

Irish hair does tend to be wiry, yes. Norn Irish, too!

This is just to inform you all that I fully intend to win the lottery and employ staff. Need a team of contract cleaners to clean up after every meal that ds has! He will only feed himself - which, of course, makes me terribly on-trend with the old baby-led weaning - but the mess is something else

SFX, I do not understand the fuss for a mere 20% off. For me it must generally be 40% or on the odd occasion 30% if I am feeling weak. tightwad emoticon.

mellow2 · 20/11/2008 19:09

Bunyan - No neither do I. Must be the mad Christmas rush.

Steppie - I have a shampoo and a conditioner that are fab but I'm not sure if they're what you're looking for. I'll send a couple of samples to you to try.

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 20/11/2008 19:51

latest update - nick is breathing unaided but sadly still not woken up which is worrying. Just as worrying... I think Paddle may have to murder her mother and Nick will come round to find his mother 10ft under and his sister in clink!

mygreatauntgriselda · 20/11/2008 20:08

Hi, just lurking atm and thinking of Paddle

Steppy I love your hair

AtheneNoctua · 21/11/2008 07:53

Oh, this doe not sound good for Nick. But will keep the hope and faith and pray some more for them.

I had a vab and a crap day yesterday. AS some of you may know I truly hate my job these days. So I had an interview las night after work. I think it went really well. So was really happy about that. Then, walked in the door last night at about 9:00ish only to handed fab nanny's resignation.

Damn. I love current nanny. And now she is leaving. DD also . DS not bothered (because he's too young to comprehend it).
