I got one as well Kew - used the aol address..
It says it cannot find any host hamed aol.com

SJ99 · 18/11/2008 13:47

Kew - I got same message as MrsR

SJ99 · 18/11/2008 13:50

Sfx - at schools deadline, time flies eh? Am impressed you haven't tried the choc yet, shows immense willpower on your part! Do report back though and let me know what you thought of it

rosmerta · 18/11/2008 13:59

Kew, I've got the same message as Sj & MrsR. Just tried again & got the same failure message

sfxmum · 18/11/2008 14:02

hope things are better SJ

must stay staying in since Sunday is making me thinking of chocolate treats, dd seems better and I hope she is well recovered for nursery tomorrow

Kewcumber · 18/11/2008 14:32

latest update from Paddle

They have spoken to neurosurgeon who did not pull any punches - Nick is still highly critical and they do not know if he will live. The operation removed his whole forehead.

If he survives then they are optimistic that he will have a reasonable prospect of recovery but would not at this stage say they were optimistic about his survival.

So jury is still out - waiting to hear if they are still going to withdraw sedation today as planned.

AtheneNoctua · 18/11/2008 14:32

Hi everyone. Yep, I'm onto the school application as well. I see my school has redefined the entrance criteria and if I was applying for DD now she probably wouldn't get in. But, DS will get in on the sybling rule. Phew.... School applications are way to stressful in this country!

Good luck to everyone!!

I trust that no news is good news from Paddle. I hope her brother is woken up today and he responds as well as can be hoped under the circumstances. Will continue to pray for him.

stepfordwife · 18/11/2008 14:35

paddle, sounds positive
sending positive vibes

SJ, forgot to say, so sorry you were having feeding problems, hope going better now.

sfx, OMG..thanks for reminding me about forms. MUST do them today or i'm going to forget

have made a hair appointment as ds2 keeps asking me how much more white (it's grey actually, thanks, sonny-jim) my hair's going to get. maybe he thinks i'm not coming up to scratch at the schoolgates...

sfxmum · 18/11/2008 14:35

keeping that positive vibe going
must be so hard for the family

and yes athene stressful and very odd indeed

stepfordwife · 18/11/2008 14:37

oh, cross posts,
oh poor paddle, can only imagine what they're going through
praying for nick and her family
thanks for updating us, kew

stepfordwife · 18/11/2008 14:38

yes, athene, thank the lord for the sibling rule indeedy!

MrsRecycle · 18/11/2008 15:14

quick post - sorry to hear that not good news from paddle.

Update on yahoo/aol problem - there is a known bug with yahoo at the moment and an outstanding ticket is currently open. Basically you cannot send to aol via yahoo so affects a few of us. I have asked yahoo to email me when fixed.

rosmerta · 18/11/2008 21:31

paddle, am still thinking of you all [hugs]

Is anyone around tomorrow? Am thinking of venturing to Kew or Lollipop depending on the weather

bunyanvillas · 18/11/2008 21:41

Ros - sorry - have just seen yr text. Not around this week as my mum is coming over towards the end of the week and have various bits to get organised tomorrow. But would love to see you next week if you have time and of course depending on how you are feeling? Hope all's ok, you must be getting a bit tired now.

Am loving SJ's pics, the wee man is utterly adorable.

Sorry haven't been on here much recently, have been busy plus exhausted, ds is a real handful at the moment!

Off to bed now (have been up a LOT with ds during the night recently). Will be thinking of Paddle and hoping that the night brings some improvement.

sfxmum · 18/11/2008 22:42

hello all

keeping positive for Paddle's brother

SJ's ds1&ds2 look adorable

Ros fingers crossed it will be nursery day tomorrow but think the weather will be ok, best make the best of it apparently icy cold by weekend

bunyan hang in there the little angel are a tad merciless in their first year aren't they?

another day indoors as I felt dd needed rest to recover fully but I am near climbing walls
dd still sounds awful but was clearly better today once she recovered some sleep in the morning
I seriously need to go for a little run tomorrow after lardy lady club

am ever so slightly amused disturbed by the BNP members list leak
hope everyone is well

Kewcumber · 19/11/2008 09:34

No change in Nicks condition. Meds stopped yesterday at 3pm, Paddle off to hospital shortly.

Anyone know any cheap parking in Hammersmith for her?

Kewcumber · 19/11/2008 09:34

I'm receiving yahoo emials now...

rosmerta · 19/11/2008 10:17

Kew, sorry I don't Hammersmith at all. Hope there's some good news today.

After a rubbish night's sleep for both ds & me we're going to stay close to home today I think.

sfxmum · 19/11/2008 10:57

good morning all

hoping for good news today from paddle
can't help with parking sorry

Ros hope you have a restful day

dd went to pre school later than usual due to disturbed night but much better than the last few, she told me 'mummy I need a hug and I am not sure about this'

so I went running nice and slow due to knee but managed 3.5 miles hope to do better tomorrow

hope everyone is well

sfxmum · 19/11/2008 10:57

Kewcumber · 19/11/2008 11:35

Kewcumber · 19/11/2008 11:35

think I have sorted parking PAddles there now.

stepfordwife · 19/11/2008 13:20

hi everyone
hope paddle gets some positive news about nick today

ros, got the DS game in post. thanks muchly. will send you a cheque. hope you get some rest.

bunyan, it can be so hard going sometimes eh? enjoy having your ma to stay.

chap came to take template for work tops this morning but went off without measuring up because i wasn't here...
despite me phoning the company yesterday to maker it

crystal clear if he came at 9ish i wouldn't be here as had school run and a meeting at nursery, but that he could gain access round back...she said fine but obviously didn't relay the information.

now she's avoiding my calls and one of her colleagues has told me "it's not their policy to talk directly to customers"

meanwhile, chasing up incompetent jobsworths is stopping me doing my own work

stepfordwife · 19/11/2008 13:21

even
..have always had trouble expressing anger...

sfxmum · 19/11/2008 13:51

LOL at difficulty expressing anger sorry steppie I find dealing with contractors extremely time consuming and frustrating, once upon a time I oversaw the refurbishment of 2 care homes and I seriously never again, only because I was made to do it.

quiet afternoon here I think
