don't they expect so kind of wear and tear?

sushi that is nice
for dh probably should find pics of dodgy haircuts and Oxfam wardrobe plus assorted odd girlfriends , he might cry then

maybe not

sfxmum · 13/11/2008 19:41

hope SJ and family are ok

ComeOVeneer · 13/11/2008 20:05

slng, if it is anything like dd's school they don't ask for any money for damaged books, they just sit in an ever expanding pile of "books to be repaired" so tbh if you sellotape it for them they will be more than happy.

MrsRecycle · 13/11/2008 20:06

yes hope sj all ok.

Slng rofl my old cleaner used to drive me mad with her tidying up and non cleaning. New cleaner is wonderful and puts everything in the right places - she even sold my house for me.

Sushi what a lovely thing to do for your dh I did a book for him of the past 10 years and he cried when he read it. Soppy things sometimes indeed.

slng · 13/11/2008 20:06

cov - ours said if you damage book it's a fiver. Wear-and-tear is one thing. Binary fission is quite another. This one has certainly become two ...

sfxmum · 13/11/2008 21:43

oh cripes don't seem to write this essay thing, usually just sit and get on almost all done in one sitting
ziltch today, probably should just go to bed

sfxmum · 13/11/2008 21:43

binary fission

Kewcumber · 13/11/2008 23:24

Have just tried my new breadmaker (£11 off ebay but old model).

Is anyone else old enought to remember the TV programme Quatermass? I think my loaf tried to take over the world....

sfxmum · 14/11/2008 09:06

KC did you name it? mwaaaah

Ros thanks for invite think I need to go out during morning then aim for quieter pm

SushiMummy · 14/11/2008 09:16

Morning all.

QC - DH asked me to pass this message to you - he wanted to say hello but had to wait for everyone pass the gate as he needed to check his oyster card not been overcharged. Apparently, when he touched it in the morning it instantly charged 8 pounds. Hope this makes sense to you.

Nice warm start. Have a nice day, all.

AtheneNoctua · 14/11/2008 10:20

Hi everyone!

I just want to pop in (sorry -- no time to read and catch up properly) and say I was chatting to Quokka on facebook and she is planning a trip to London over the Christmas hols. So, if something is organised, will someone please keep me informed so I can come out and play. Would be great to see Quokka as well as all of you.

Hope everyone is well!

sfxmum · 14/11/2008 13:04

and as I was saying....

rosmerta · 14/11/2008 14:09

Sfx, guess you didn't get out this morning then?!

I've been to look at the new birth centre at West Mid, very nice, am almost tempted to swap homebirth for there!!

sfxmum · 14/11/2008 14:38

they needed a new birth centre when dd was born the facilities were quite stark and basic

dd still in pyjamas has been eating and resting and looking through old toys

I have even been ironing to keep busy

MrsRecycle · 14/11/2008 14:55

phew all ok with sj just had mail ds born Monday. Sure she'll be here soon updating you.

sfxmum · 14/11/2008 14:56

rosmerta · 14/11/2008 14:58

Just seen the email, glad everything's ok!

mygreatauntgriselda · 14/11/2008 17:54

What gorgeous baby he is - awwww - and SJ looks as beautiful as ever, despite having given birth 30 seconds earlier

QC _ PMSL at your Quatermass loaf - I can just picture it taking over Kew!!

Oooozing down your road....

Ros - West Mid is wonderful - midwife led and very wonderful. I had DD there (pre-refurbishment (of the hossie, not me)) and loved it

What is your due date again?

SJ99 · 14/11/2008 20:54

Hello all

Just a quickie to say came back home yesterday evening with new baby boy who I'm totally in love with
CS was excellent and staff were fabulous. Had feeding issues as baby was tongue tie so he had corrective surgery on Weds, quite distressing but now thankfully all is getting better. Baby sleeps all day but parties all night, back to enjoying 3 in a bed

Met baby Xoxo and baby Amanda in hossie too, both babies are gorgeous and mummies doing well too

Hope everyone well, will try and catch up later on

SJ99 · 14/11/2008 20:57

Meant to also say thanks for all the lovely replies and well wishes
Auntie - you're too kind

mygreatauntgriselda · 14/11/2008 22:55

SJ lovely to hear from you and glad you are both doing well. Its nice you saw Oxo and her DD too!

I didn't know tongue tie could be corrected - its excellent that it was diagnosed so early and treated so soon too.[impressed with NHS!]

Big hugs to you and your family

mellow2 · 15/11/2008 08:43

Hi SJ,
Glad everything is well and baby's tongue tie has been corrected.

OP posts:
ComeOVeneer · 15/11/2008 10:05

Fab news SJ. Surgery for tongue tie at that age is distressful for you as the parent but much kinder on the child than having it done a few years down the line when they are more aware. When do we get to see piccies of the new additions to the gang?

Right back to the kitchen to finish the cake for tonight!

stepfordwife · 15/11/2008 10:07

hi SJ
lovely to know you're all back home safe, well and happy
ds2 (!) is absolutely gorgeous and you all look blissed out in the oics..
yes and it is sickening how good you look..better than i look on a night out!

kew, nice to see you and ds yesterday and thought CM's playgroup fab..not as fab as her husband's cheesecake, tho

auntie, saw your beautiful boy at playgroup and had a lovely long cuddle with him, he was falling asleep on my shoulder.
he looks so much like dd.

dh off to mumbai tomorrow for a week. usually try to organise my work so haven't got loads on while he's away, but trip all a bit last-minute. ach well..
have a good day, all
toodlepip

stepfordwife · 15/11/2008 10:09

oh god, yes, that must have been so hard for you that ds1 had to have surgery, but fab it's sorted
