Hurrah!

(Now where can I get a second mortgage to pay vet fees...)

Hi Mellow - ok to freecycle booster: still have one here. the joy of too many kids.

Does anyone know of a spanish conversation class or group? A friend and I are trying to learn spanish and are now at 'intermediate' level and want to practice our conversation but I can't find a group anywhere. I heard a rumour that there was a group in kew somewhere, and st marys in twickenham. Anyone got any clues?

sfx: I have nightmares about wembley - once spent 4 hours in the car park trying to get out after a celine dion (what was I thinking?) concert. swore I would never return, even if cebeebies were doing a free concert in the style of the chippendales.... (oxo shudders uncontrollably...)

am off to lie down with damp towel in darkened room.

Toddler logic:

DS2 (points at packet of wipes): that for baby?
me: no
DS2 : That for me?
me: no
DS2: That for my birthday?
me: no
DS2 (wails): Oooooohhhhhhh!!!! I GOT NO BIRTHDAY!!!!

stepfordwife · 01/10/2008 18:34

celine dion

rosmerta · 01/10/2008 18:43

lol slng

Steppie, did you enjoy ANTM the other night?!

xoxo · 01/10/2008 18:54

Oh Stepopy - the shame. I can only blame.... OMG I've got nothing to blame....put it down to a complete lapse of musical taste.

maybe it's age but the only thing I'd pay to see now is live comedy; I'm dying to see the guys from mock the week on tour, esp the sarky scot - Boyle. Went to see Simon Ansell and he was fab.

(oh - and kenny rogers is coming to hammersmith next year so I've put down a request for two tickets.... but that nothing to be ashamed of)

sillybigsausage · 02/10/2008 12:12

kenny rogers

Kewcumber · 02/10/2008 12:12

very talented neice is offering free portriat shoots ony paying if you like the results atm. She would proabably charge travel costs to come up here but no more than £25 I would guess and if 2-3 of you are interested in Xmas piccies, its a great way of getting them done easily, she normally does a 2 hr shoot for each child and can obviously either do it at home or somewhere like Kew.

www.dvelopphotography.com/portraits/price.html

I particualry like her wedding photos...

rosmerta · 02/10/2008 12:56

Kew, thanks for that link. I am definitely interested, but need to run it by dh first!

Ds seems to have a bit of a dodgy belly, seems fine in himself though, think it could just be a side effect of the cold!

Slng/sfx, which JO did you watch? Am just watching Ministry of Food where he's in Rotherham.

SJ99 · 02/10/2008 14:33

Hello all

MrsR - well done to your DD

KC - Gherkin looks gorgeous on the website, will have a think about the pics

Ros - Hope miniRos feels better soon. DS keeps going on about miniRos pretending to be a builder and now apparently I have to dress up as a builder too

Expensive morning as new shoes time. Also been to library & DS fave shop M&S to get some more milk. It was lovely outside but pretty cold. Might make some cookies now.

rosmerta · 02/10/2008 14:44

Ah yes, ds needs some new shoes as well. Am also going to make some biscuits I think,

sfxmum · 02/10/2008 15:06

we had a nice time in sunny but cold Kew, absolutely gorgeous

KC great pics would like a family portrait if can manage to convince dh

Ros that is the one but only watched some of it

no cookies here as mum and dad are too big, cakes only when visitors can be trusted to eat most of it
but we will have to get new winter boots soon I think the light up trainers will short circuit in damp weather
