OP posts:
rosmerta · 21/08/2008 09:19

bunyan, I woke up from a dream about Peter Jones, left me quite disturbed for the rest of the night!

sfxmum · 21/08/2008 09:19

bunyan as dream counsellor I would say you are desensitizing for the upcoming Tory government

sfxmum · 21/08/2008 09:20

who is Peter Jones? do you mean you were in a shopping frenzy?

bunyanvillas · 21/08/2008 09:20

SFX, lol!!! Perhaps you are right. Peter Jones - ummm, I could possibly get that one although I do think he has put on a bit of weight recently.

rosmerta · 21/08/2008 09:23

Sfx, take it from your post you don't watch Dragons Den?!

rosmerta · 21/08/2008 09:25

Right, must go get ready otherwise we'll never get out of the house!

sfxmum · 21/08/2008 09:26

no Ros I don't but googled his mug, so not my sort

I clearly like boys which might be a problem with my advancing years

like I said the only reality thing I watch is who do you think you are, laughed most of the way through yesterday's ep. but still don't want Boris as Mayor despite him being good value entertainment wise

stepfordwife · 21/08/2008 09:28

i fancy all the dragons [blush}
except for theo whats-his-name
oh, and deborah meaden, obviously
think duncan ballantyne (sp) does it for me most..

oh dear, got to get back on the home track

sfx...waddya mean?

oh do like who do you think you are/ didn't see the paxman one

bunyan at thatcher dreams......you need help

stepfordwife · 21/08/2008 09:31

ok we won't be after the same men then, sfx [hmmm] aas if..
i like 'em when they get a bit wrinkly and knackered looking

that's why have only just vaguely started appreciating the allure of brad pitt...far too pretty before his 40s and squillions of kids..

bunyanvillas · 21/08/2008 09:33

Me too. Hence Bill Turnbull.

sfxmum · 21/08/2008 09:35

not Brad Pitt either too pretty even the older version not George Clooney although seems like a good laugh

just don't go for the bulky commonly seen as manly type

PaddlePig · 21/08/2008 10:59

there has been no snogging unless you count MrsR's ds and my dd who are now an item apparently LOL.
Day 2 of dd sleeping till 9am. It's going to be so tough going back to 6:30/7am starts. Staying up till 10:30/11pm at the disco is a winner in my book!

mellow2 · 21/08/2008 13:08

Hi paddle

How are you connecting from Camber? Are you using 3g on your iphone?

Bunyan,
Thanks for the nice cup of tea. It was good to see you too Ros.

bunyanvillas · 21/08/2008 13:10

Paddle - sounds as though you are all having a great time Mellow, Ros - great to see you this morning with your adorable little ones! Ros, you are looking fantastic m'dear, pregnancy clearly suits you (Mellow, you also of course . If you do locate your Baby Whisperer book then I wouldn't mind borrowing it. Mellow - will email you re: nursery stuff. Hoping for a fairly relaxed arvo - have hung out washing and might pop out to roadtest the Hippychick seat, see if ds likes it

rosmerta · 21/08/2008 13:42

bunyan, thanks for this morning, ds seemed to enjoy himself. Definitely wore him out anyway as he's now fast asleep! I'll have a look for the book this afternoon and let you know.

Mellow, nice to see you and dd too.

Had to google Bill Turnbull! Sfx, Peter Jones doesn't really do it for me either hence being slightly disturbed at dreaming of him!

Paddle, glad you're all having a good time! Lol at dd & MrsR's ds being an item!

SJ99 · 21/08/2008 14:42

Hello all

What with all the dreams of secret fancy men? I am so bushed these days I wake and instantly forget my dreams as weird as they are

Hello Paddle - glad Camber crew are having fun esp the LO's

Sfx - Glad minisfx has settled in her room. Re: yogurt containers I just make mine in the pan I heat the milk in or put in pyrex bowl not exactly pro-ish but it does the job

Done more on house today and nearly finished changing my address. Am really excited as I'm meeting a friend from uni for lunch tom and we haven't seen each other for 13yrs

sfxmum · 21/08/2008 14:49

hi paddle lovely to see you so loyal and diverting attention to the LO's

fab swim today really quiet pool then walked home just trying to get d to let me hoover since we have guests this pm
but only it is because Susie's first visit

baking break and cookies too
must have a sit down after slight attack of houseproudness

SJ99 · 21/08/2008 15:07

Round of applause for hoovering

sfxmum · 21/08/2008 15:12

bit premature SJ dd just went hysterical screaming and running around in a sort of panic, 'when daddy gets home we will hide in the bathroom and you can hoover'

got a call from one of the carpet cleaning people who I asked for a quote but he took ages to get back to me and I ended up going with someone else
the man sounded very upset about it and said
'well I think we would have done a better job because we are the best'
'can I call you back near Christmas and visit for a quote?'

SJ99 · 21/08/2008 15:17

LOL at carpet man's reaction he was obviously counting on you as a new and regular customer!

I'm dead excited as we can now afford a cleaner so she is coming tomorrow, yay, this will help loads I'm sure when baby arrives. I will still have to do ironing though but that's ok as it's the one chore that I like doing Will take DS to library tom am and get some new books while she does her cleaning

sfxmum · 21/08/2008 15:26

that is great SJ have cleaner envy

and wow at uni friend and to think we have been around long enough to have not seen someone for such a long time

bunyanvillas · 21/08/2008 16:40

Cripes, I have cleaner envy too! Although we manage fairly well here and when things get bad I just don my dark glasses. SFX - congratulations on the hoovering. Well, we have had a nice easy afternoon at home - and I think we've all enjoyed it and I even have a chicken & lentil casserole simmering! I'm sure we'll shake back down into chaos by tomorrow.

slng · 21/08/2008 16:55

We've got butternut squash soup simmering for the kids' tea. I'm going out tonight VERY VERY far away (Liverpool st). Am exhausted just thinking about journey!

SJ - is cleaner from agency? We've been without cleaner for months and attempts at getting a new one seemed to have come to nothing. I think I'll have to give agencies a go ...

sfx - my children used to scream in terror at the threat of hoovering as well, but these days they just go to a different floor and continue ignoring me.

stepfordwife · 21/08/2008 18:11

what's hoovering?

(you're meant to say vacuuming, btw. trademarks and all that. )

rosmerta · 21/08/2008 18:20

I did a chicken & bacon paella for tea tonight which was yummy & very filling!

One advantage of wooden floors is no hoovering oops meant vacuming
