lisa is deffo a botox queen
love how she says the most inane things and thinks she's being profound..
eg: "exercise is very good for you...as is eating healthily."

sillybigsausage · 15/08/2008 21:12

Paddle et al - am putting off packing until th mrning!!!! [hmm}

'Tis OK but I always manage to forget something

Steppy- yes I think several male swimmers complained about the "flashing pensioner"

SFX - oooh yes please - will just check our "spare shoe bag" in a mo' (DH reckons we have some..) to make 100% sure we don't have any - but many thanks - could maybe colect tomorrow am as have to collect something from M&S before we leave (school uniforms I ordered)?? Sil vous plais

Hi Ros R U on front page???

sillybigsausage · 15/08/2008 21:14

Oh Gawd what R U lot watching, BB???

sfxmum · 15/08/2008 21:18

paddle was very amused at the best friends thing too

steppie dd told dh that your ds1 was a bug expert who was showing her bugs and that she might take him on a bug hunt and give him a badge
thanks for angst and arse I only thought she wasn't listening

slng I usually start making lists early on then come to my senses and prune it to essentials but it is comforting

ros so glad you could join us never watch BB as such like shows no idea what you on about

am watching something on telly later till then will read my book

sfxmum · 15/08/2008 21:19

SBS will tell dh because I will be out from 9.30 am till well after lunch I think but they will stay home

slng · 15/08/2008 21:27

Am watching Poirot.

I got some Artemis Fowl books from the library. Kiddie books - ultimate light reading.

Madhur Jaffrey light reading has yielded very nice scrambled eggs and dal soup for tea.

PaddlePig · 15/08/2008 21:28

Rex is horrific! utterly horrific. Nicole is not much better but I feel sorry for her having to deal with Rex's paranoid passive aggressive behaviour.

Mo is awful too.

They are all awful altho I do feel a bit sorry for Rachel tonight.

sillybigsausage · 15/08/2008 21:28

SFX have just checked spare shoe bag and indeed we have no tiny wellies - wld much appreciate a loan of your DD's ex wellies

Ros - many thnx to you too but SFX is a bit nearer, making for an easier, earlier pick up - many thanks anyway though

SFX - how shall I contact yr DH? Sorry am a bit zombified atm...unable to reason clearly. What R U reading

Showed Latitude programme to a woman at work who is in a folk band and she deffo want to go next year!!!

PaddlePig · 15/08/2008 21:28

I love Atemis Fowl books.

sillybigsausage · 15/08/2008 21:29

Slng that souds very yummy and healthy(rubs tum)

slng · 15/08/2008 21:39

Haven't started the Fowls books yet. Always wanted to read them but too tight to buy them!

We used to have a nice little book shop in Ealing that sold an odd and cheap assortment of books but some branch of the IRA blew it up. I was very fond of that book shop - introduced me to RK Narayan whose book I got because it was pink. Who says not to judge a book by the cover?

rosmerta · 15/08/2008 21:42

sfx, I'm not watching BB, no idea what steppie & paddle are on about.

sausage, no worries, offer's there just in case!

Just remembered I've left the washing on the line, bugger!

rosmerta · 15/08/2008 21:43

slng, which bookshop was that? There is the Oxfam bookshop which is quite good

bunyanvillas · 15/08/2008 21:44

Hi Ros, please may I have your autograph

sfxmum · 15/08/2008 21:47

which book shop was that slng? was it the pub bomb? I was at work in Hanwell when that happened

sausage have texted you dh's mobile and home number
am reading Saramago's Seeing which is very very funny, it is not a follow up to Blindness but it gets referenced
I love his Gospel according to Jesus Christ one of the few books which made me cry

slng · 15/08/2008 22:03

I don't remember the name - I think there are branches on charing cross roads. It's got a yellow shop sign and has a picture of an owl on it.

That was the car bomb. We must have walked past the car going back to West Ealing from the pub. Luckily we didn't stop for a kebab.

The Oxfam bookshop is also pretty good.

stepfordwife · 15/08/2008 22:22

paddle, what the bejaysus was lisa wearing?!

concur that's how rex appears. but do think it's a front for his insecurity and he is quite fair at times.
agree about 'my girlfriend". but she's 19, so i forgive her.

right, will stop talking in tongues now for the rest of you

sausage...bloody cheek! you're a fine figure of a woman. and one after my own heart. i leave everything until the last minute, morning, too.

sfx..ds1 will be overjoyed to be called a bug expert. that is his future career you know

sing...scrambled eggs and dahl soup sounds yummy. will have to put dh on to that..

sillybigsausage · 15/08/2008 22:22

Crikey that must've been v scarey Slng!

SFX got text - many thanks

slng · 15/08/2008 22:38

scrambled eggs with spices and chillies. Works fantastically for breakfast too! Also spiced eggy bread. Yum.

Poirot about to announce murderer. Surely that's better than BB!

rosmerta · 15/08/2008 22:40

slng, don't tell me, have taped Poirot to watch later!

sillybigsausage · 15/08/2008 22:44

Ros/Slng - call me a granny old fashioned but I prefer Piorot anyday to BB

Hi Steppy [waves] - yes must share a vino cuppa B4 kids get back into school routine R U about the last week of hols?
