New thread for August.

Those are the earphones we got for our two. They are great as they are child size and seem o be very comfortable. So both children are plugged into their own dvd player and the car is peaceful. Not sure if it will work for the entire duration of the journey (leaving home at 3.45am on Saturday,to catch a 6.25am ferry from Dover, then 7 hours drive the other side (plus stops). Are we mad????????

no not mad road trips are fun and a great adventure can't wait to do the same sometime soon, just don't expect it all to go according to plan

sfx, lightweight! We saw it right to the end, even though it did get very silly! Looking forward to BSG though, can't imagine where its going to go from the last series!

it is all very dark indeed but so so worth it

arg! FFS! I am just about to go to bed and the bloody neighbours have started their movie fest yet again.

why the feck can't they just watch their bloody telly in their bloody lounge instead of the computer in the bedroom below mine.

i'd rather have ASBO boy and his floor shaking music between 7pm and 10pm.

CoV, we did a 15 hour journey similar to yours when dd was 9m and she pretty much yelled the whole way! she is not a patient traveller and gets very bored quickly! hence hoping dvd player will improve matters.

hope your journey goes ok and ds is back on form for the holiday too.

Have never heard of Alias but I did used to watch Veronica Mars in Sweden which I liked. I thought Heroes 2 only got really good towards the end and then it finished, ah well not long to go til next series.

Best get on ringing council tax people and utilites and all that exciting jazz.

thanks for invites carpet cleaners will be here in a little while and we are holed up in my bedroom which resembles a very messy warehouse.
we will stay here until it is all done then leave to meet my sister and her kids

SJ first series of VM was really fab missed most of 2nd
Alias was fun think5 series worth a look for entertainment.

dd is already stressing about the carpet cleaners and is asking daddy to stay home and look after her 'while mummy tells the mans what to do'

thanks SFX, I actually did sleep pretty well till about 3am when dd "woke up" crying. Settled her back down but struggled to go off again myself.

BTW, Bunyan, forgot to say at how you were treated at teh tube station. Unfortunately just another reason for me to want to move on. Hope your bro is doing a bit better now too.

Spent my commute this morning fantasizing about taking out a massive loan. Using part of it to boost my Vee-Dub Fund and using the rest to fund a career break, a 3 month trip round Europe and the loan repayments.

D'you think this might be financially unsound
