kew, i'm starved so gonna head out for a buttie and eat at my desk. tried call & text but you're ignoring me so i'll go off in a huff

sillybigsausage · 07/08/2008 12:46

Paddle I hope you did all that at 7am !!

Mrs R - great if you will be there too!!

Steppy why not try and come down the same weekend as us? - we can have another carry on caravanning stint !

Kewcumber · 07/08/2008 13:04

got stuck in a meeting and phone falt - if you're still around...

SJ99 · 07/08/2008 13:57

Hello all

Cov - glad DS is better today. What are plans for Monday? Sorry don't have any passes either, have cheapo membership too!

Paddle - Good that neighbours got a taste of their own medicine, you never know it might do some good

Ros - well done mini-Ros on no accidents. I only know of 1 o'clock cub being open during summer. BTW is cinema trip still on this month?

Kewcumber · 07/08/2008 14:16

I now have to come into town for 3pm MOnday so need to leave whatever we do by 1.30 at latest to drop DS off at my mums. Essentially can do whole morning and early lunch. Can provide passes if it ends up being KEw.

sfxmum · 07/08/2008 14:32

we have had a very eventful and soggy day

dashed down to Richmond for dd hair appointment, slight rain at first serious downpour for the last few yards

appointment great must write review in local site

then to lollipop dd was ok at first but tiredness came through and she became over emotional with normal kids exchanges, then did a huge wee in the ball pool I did the walk of shame to inform staff then we left on the only day I left the house without a spare set of clothes!
then we walked home in the sunshine

miniros well done

cov I still have passes too

Kewcumber · 07/08/2008 14:34

it may have been nice sfx but was it cheap - my only criteria at the moment?

sfxmum · 07/08/2008 14:40

do you mean dd's haircut? £15 which I think is fine but am sure you are soon to use capitals on me

Kewcumber · 07/08/2008 14:42

No caps (promise) yes meant the haricut - I wonder if they'd do mine for £15?

rosmerta · 07/08/2008 14:45

£15? , I though £7 for ds's haircut was dear!

Kewcumber · 07/08/2008 14:51

where was yours Ros - I'm not at all sure DS will sit still long enough but his hair is a bit of a mess.

sfxmum · 07/08/2008 14:52

I know I know but was very keen on a nice experience and they did come up with the goods. dd hates having her hair brushed at all so not complaining

Paddlechick666 · 07/08/2008 14:56

BLOODY HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

£15 FOR A CHILD'S HAIRCUT??????????????

Holy moley, dd is gonna be in the Guinness World Book of Records then coz she ain't never getting a hair cut at that price!!

mind you, I could probably hoodwink the GPs into doing it.

I had to warn them yesterday "don't be buying dd any new shoes" and lo and behold DM says "oh but I saw such a cute pair of....."

She doesn't need any shoes right now and she deffo doesn't need any more sandals. She's fine with what she has till September now.

Kewcumber · 07/08/2008 15:03

Paddle - will trade shoes for "Little MOnster" T shirt

stepfordwife · 07/08/2008 15:06

sfx. lol at walk of shame after dd doing wee in ball pit!

she is great that hairdresser...i got fed-up with boys getting butchered at barbers..bit pricey but she does a fab job on both of them and they've got very different hair (surfy dude vs irish brillo pad-like mummy-poor-sod)

SJ...would it be really cheeky to ask to borrow about a dozen boxes -if you've got that many? is it ok if dh picks them up tomorrow? what time is best for you?

silly sausage..when are you going? all depends on the finances this end but got feeling will be desperate to escape chaos!
well we planned to go to richmond park today and then it tipped down. ended up on a jolly family trip to B & Q

oh, think i've got passes for kew, too, COV. glad your boy is feeling better.

stepfordwife · 07/08/2008 15:07

..oh and i get their hair cut rarely...in fact ds2 is growing his at the moment because he wants to look like a rock star

rosmerta · 07/08/2008 15:08

Kew, I've taken him to Jeffrey's in Brentford but I think dh has also taken him to a barber on Northfields which was £5

Paddlechick666 · 07/08/2008 15:20

SFX, sorry about the ball park wee but it did make me

i guess i should be grateful that dd's hair doesn't really need cutting. the mental curly look suits her i think.

i just ate a whole packet of percy pigs and not only do a feel a bit sick i also feel like a pig. they actually have pork gelatin in them too.

oink oink!

so much for M&S eh? No artificial flavours or colours, just a bit of pig in your sweetied.

only bought 'em coz someone said they were delicious but i panicked under pressure and bought the wrong ones.

Kewcumber · 07/08/2008 15:21

bizarrely DS has hair very very similar to mine both in colour and texture (minus the grey of course)

sfxmum · 07/08/2008 15:25

paddle pig gelly is not artificial gelatine is usually an animal product and very widely used, but there are vegetarian alternatives

am resisting the urge to bake cookies again, weight myself this morning and the scale is going in the right direction

Kewcumber · 07/08/2008 15:26

Paddle - how do you panic under the pressure of buying a packet of sweets?

Paddlechick666 · 07/08/2008 15:41

kew, because the queue was shuffling along at a rate of knots and i had already discounted about 3 types of percy pigs (not to mention penny bloody pigs) in my quest for the "mallow with liquid fruit centre" ones.

In panic and desperation i grabbed the pink packet that said "made with fruit juice".

sfx, i knew gelatin was made with animal products but i've never seen it listed as "pork gelatin" before. congrats on the scales going in the right direction, i fear mine have sprouted trotters and are hurtling off in the opposite direction!

sfxmum · 07/08/2008 15:44

lol at sprouted trotters

I sincerely hope it will be going back up again slowly soon

SJ99 · 07/08/2008 15:47

Oh no at ballpool incident & for you SFx at walk of shame

DS has his cut for £7 is Twickers, they are fab with kids.

Steppie only prob with tom is that DH is getting back from Bristol, maybe tea time. Don't want to mess your DH about in case my DH is late and can't get boxes out of loft in time. Is the wkend any better for you to play it safe? otherwise I can text you a rough time tom but it would be tea time at the earliest?

SJ99 · 07/08/2008 15:48

LOL at Paddle Pig experience!
