sfxmum · 08/07/2008 21:58

maximum points for exemplary stealth and spy like elusiveness

Amanda78 · 08/07/2008 22:02

Hi All,

How is everyone!?
I'm 22 weeks now and pleased to say all went well with my scan yesterday! Didn't find out sex as we both want the surprise as with DD!

SJ - Nice to see you last week, glad Thomas day out was fun and that scan went well for you too! Now you really can start putting a name in place!
Hope DS is feeling better after his fall and that packing is going well!

Can't make 25th but do fancy cinema night!

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 22:51

hI Amanda congratulations glad all is well with the baby

I am know on about 500 words just how much waffling is allowed?

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 22:52

now because clearly I don't know what I am writing

SJ99 · 09/07/2008 09:40

Morning all

Good luck for essay Sfx, how's it going?

Eco showers sound good, don't really understand why Powder room exists at a festival though
Let's hope tickets arrive today...

Amanda - glad scan went well

Anyone know of a good removal firm? Have got a quote yesterday, not so competitive. Have a few others but would prefer a recommendation

BTW the play was really good last night, nice to get a bit of culture!

Hope everyone has a good day despite wetness

rosmerta · 09/07/2008 09:59

sj, we used ois removals. Have to say they were excellent, just make sure you book a morning slot even if you're not moving into the house until the afternoon.

sfxmum · 09/07/2008 10:07

good morning all

lovely weather hey

I am a 3/4 of the way on essay but it really needs to be posted today so child will be ignored and watch too much telly.

SJ can't remember the name of removal firm but it was expensive, mostly I think because we have 'too many' books but don't go with big name firms they are extortionate.

I badly need to get some exercise it has been over a week since I last went running
must get on with essay

sfxmum · 09/07/2008 10:09

SJ about powder rooms some girls go there to pull don't think they understand the power of sweat pheromones knocking them out

Paddlechick666 · 09/07/2008 10:28

Latitude Tix Have Landed

Yeh not so sure about powder rooms tbh but given the theatrical nature of the festival I believe they sell it as a place to get your "styleee" going!

I will bring swimmers and may be tempted by the eco showers purely for the experience. Otherwise am with your DH sfx in terms of what a festival experience comprises!

good luck with the essay....

sj, I used these guys: www.2menremovals.com/

cheap and cheerful. they were very fast and pretty darn cheap too!

Kewcumber · 09/07/2008 10:47

so "experience" = no showers then?

Paddle do you want to shoot for lunch again tomorrow?

Paddlechick666 · 09/07/2008 10:53

'fraid can't do lunch tomorrow, already got something booked which may have to be bounced anyway.

am somewhat with Amazon. Had a gift voucher from my birthday so bought a rainproof jacket and a book on childhood immunisation.

jacket is from a "seller" and won't be despatched for 3-5 days with delivery 15-18th which means it might not arrive before Latitude.

sfxmum · 09/07/2008 11:43

Tickets here

and I finished the essay, just need to read again and print then pop to post office, that might be the challenging bit and involve bribing dd with CBeebies magazine, bad parenting alert

Paddlechick666 · 09/07/2008 12:14

lol, if a Cbeebies mag is bad parenting then someone should report me to SS!

I used to love reading back my essays before handing in. I used to be so proud of my wonderful intelligence and stylish writing etc.

Then I'd get my results and come crashing back down to earth.

LOL.

Am sure your work is a worth of a good mark tho SFX.

I really really really need to get some work done!

sfxmum · 09/07/2008 12:29

mine show signs of intelligence unless endless waffling and repetition pass for that these days, as for style ROLF

back to work woman

Paddlechick666 · 09/07/2008 12:31

just saw news item that it will rain for a month but 10 day forecast on Latitude says Thurs/Fri sunny!

Kewcumber · 09/07/2008 12:55

I fairly recently re-read an essay I did at Uni (on something really interesting like the Capital Asset Pricing Model). I was really impressed with myself. I don't remember ever knowing that much about anything? [puzzled emoticon]

Kewcumber · 09/07/2008 12:56

don;t you need the rain to wash in?

Paddlechick666 · 09/07/2008 13:07

no, that's what babywipes are for!

sfxmum · 09/07/2008 14:27

am very soggy it did not stop raining all the way to post office and back

baby wipes are quite refreshing indeed

gingerminger · 09/07/2008 15:02

SJ we used OIS too - they were great and very reasonable

I have a theory that if it rains all week this week, it will be nice and dry next wek when we go to Cornwall

[optimist emoticon]

Paddlechick666 · 09/07/2008 15:14

MrsR, your opinion here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/2412/563938?ts=1215612852507&msgid=11524739

mellow2 · 09/07/2008 15:29

Well done with essay, sfx.

I'm procrastinating here. I've gotfar too much shop-related work to do after 2 weeks of taking it easy.

OP posts:
gingerminger · 09/07/2008 15:48

Mellow how is your businss going?

SJ99 · 09/07/2008 16:32

Nothing like a 'wet ones' bath
