ladygovida · 08/07/2008 16:35

Ros no idea why its called "Mufti" and have always been too embarassed to ask

SFX - I let slip my name to my new lodger (who is a munsnetter!!!) so am trying to make myself anonymous again

[waves to lodger]!!

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 16:43

PMSL is lodeg pregger

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 16:43

lodger preggers that is

SJ99 · 08/07/2008 16:46

Hello all

Sfx/Paddle - no tix yet either

No idea about Mufti either, sounds rude!

Can't do 25th so would like to go to cinema instead please? Which date?

Slng - art class is with artytots, mind send DS there this Thurs

DS fell and cut his head open yesterday, loads of blood poured out, eek but he seems fine now apart from lump on head, no stitches r'qd, phew. He too lines up cars, I'm sure he has OCD

Been for scan this afternoon, all well with baby

Looking forward to Henry V tonight, glad rain has eased up although it wasn't quite the weather I had in mind when I bought the tickets

Back to chucking out more stuff

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 17:16

oh no poor ds SJ did he have stitches?

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 17:19

meant to say do you know the sex? or are you keeping it a surprise?

glad to hear all is well with the bean.

I think I will do macaroni cheese tonight, need comfort food

ComeOVeneer · 08/07/2008 17:26

One of my faves macaroni cheese, epescially with lardons and chopped up hard boiled eggs, crusty baguette and salad. We are having thai prawn cakes with chilli dipping sauce then thai green curry with jasmine rice.

bunyanvillas · 08/07/2008 17:31

SJ glad all ok with scan - half way through already! YES to macaroni cheese, people - in fact I have a really nice recipe for one with lentils at the bottom from my nice Italian veggie cookbook, haven't made it for ages. So there is a cinema night, too? Would love to join in if I can stay awake as I don't think I can make the 25th either. Cov did you make the thai fishcakes yourself - or buy them? I can't imagine ever being as good as you in the kitchen! Vaguely try occasionally but have a LONG way to go

bunyanvillas · 08/07/2008 17:34

Oh gawd SJ sorry to hear about DS misfortune yesterday, how stressful for all concerned. Glad he's ok! Can people stop talking about Latitude here as am Paddle has got me sold on the idea and I'm there next year. Love Southwold never mind the other treats!

rosmerta · 08/07/2008 17:39

sj, glad all is ok with the scan & ds! Another 3 weeks before my next scan.

Cov, as always, your dinners sound delicious . I'm having roast chicken wraps with sour cream tonight.

I'll start a thread for a cinema night out soon.

ComeOVeneer · 08/07/2008 17:44

Made them myself. Really easy actually.

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 17:58

yummy food all around, have just bloiled eggs but no lardons and can't be bothered popping out

about Southwold Bunyan met some relatives who live nearby who invited us to drop by when at festival for a shower or if weather poor to stay with them, that is what I call useful

SJ99 · 08/07/2008 18:12

Handy to know these people Sfx

Yes we found out sex but we're keeping it a secret, that is IF I don't let it slip before the birth

DS is fine just seems to have a gash at the back of his, docs said he'll recover. Not even sure what really happened as my mum was looking after him, she feels awful about it, he fell backwards somehow and banged his head on a chair on the fall down. Anyway sure there will be many more injuries to come, kids eh?

All this food talk is making me hungry, have made a yum veggie loaf to take with us tonight amongst other picnic goodies. Think will also need to pack a thermos flask of tea too!

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 18:36

SJ I ask because I am always mystified why people don't want to know, but having said that if we get another chance I might have a go at being in the dark as it was dh's preference

I mean how much of a surprise is it 50/50?

SJ99 · 08/07/2008 18:57

We had a surprise last time round which was great as we were guessing right til the end. This time it was more of practical decision to find out sex but I'd still like to keep everyone else guessing

ComeOVeneer · 08/07/2008 19:01

sfx we didn't know second time around. We only knew first time that it was dd because I had an amnio due to very very high risk of DS so when I got the results from that test then I ask about the sex. With ds all was well so we didn't bother (the scan wasn't any use) but as I "know" girls I was convinced he would be a she. As a result he (being so big) didn't fit into the white baby grows I had brought to the hospital (knowing first born was a girl all the first born clothes were pink), so spent his first few days in ver girly clothes! [ grin]

rosmerta · 08/07/2008 19:15

I always want to know but dh never does, somehow he wins

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 19:21

I would likely have the CVS test so the gender would be known from the start but there is always the possibility of one parent knowing and the other not, we almost did it like that but dh would be driven crazy if I knew and he didn't

Paddlechick666 · 08/07/2008 20:12

no tix here.

sfx, are you not intending to make use of the powder room and eco showers on site then?

sj, congrats on scan. we found out dd was a dd and told the GPs but kept it secret from everyone else. worked very well for us.

hope mini-sj feeling better now, must've been a big shock.

potty training isn't going quite so well with CM but suspect she isn't able to be as pro-active as me with having the other kids to mind.

we had to have a wee stop on way to CM this morning and dd was very impressed with weeing on grass verge lol

at least there's only been one poo incident and that was last thursday at Kew and DM was in charge!

slng · 08/07/2008 20:18

sj - hope ds better now. Must have been scary.

ladygodiva - so all this asking are you [insert previous name] was not really good for anonymity, was it? A thousand apologies!

Kewcumber · 08/07/2008 20:33

I didn't know DS's sex before hand either (though I had a pretty good guess) - and no amount of blood tests or scans helped either

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 20:34

the showers are good dh thinks it goes against the spirit of festival going, the powder rooms are for girly girls

right 1000 words to do best be going then

mellow2 · 08/07/2008 21:00

sj,
Glad all well with baby. When dd bled a lot from her 1st fall, I think I was more frightened than her. I think dcs recover really quickly from such things.

OP posts:
gingerminger · 08/07/2008 21:39

No it wasn't Slng!!

slng · 08/07/2008 21:44

And who might you be ginge?
