OP posts:
Kewcumber · 08/07/2008 12:40

KEWCUMBER FOR PRIME MINISTER

Kewcumber · 08/07/2008 12:42

My first act is to DICTATE a night out.

The only choice is - are you coming or not?

I have only one nights baby sitting and its Friday 25th July and we ARE going for a cheap pub night so everyone tight short of cash can pay their own way, eat of they want not if they don;t, drink if they want, not if they don;t...

Will start a thread any second now...

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 12:48

yep I am in for 25th cheap good then we can start your campaign

Ros when does yours need to be in?
I realised mine can't go in electronically as it is end of course assessment thingy so I might be well and truly buggered, or at least very sleep deprived tomorrow

rosmerta · 08/07/2008 12:50

I don't have deadlines as such which is really bad for me as I'm such a procrastinator! I've set myself a deadline of getting it finished by this weekend. Good luck with yours.

Can't do 25th, I'm meeting some of the women on my antenatal thread that night! Does anyone fancy doing another night as well, perhaps the cinema?

Cinema sopunds good Rosmerta - I have thought of that as an opiton before but can only really do once a month atm. I'll join you another month though.

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 13:08

I have not been to the movies for over 3 years, me who used to go on average once a week

Ros I could have done it earlier but not only am I a procrastinator extraordinaire The boob worry weeks made completely loose the will to pick up the books,

SushiMummy · 08/07/2008 13:34

because I started a school topic again...so I thought. Glad you weren't accusing me, then.

rosmerta · 08/07/2008 13:38

as we're speaking of schools, anyone know why it's a 'mufti day'? Why not 'no uniform day' or 'dress as you like day'?

slng · 08/07/2008 13:41

We went to visit our school yesterday and got told about uniforms and stuff. I've ordered LOTS of name tapes for DS1 and am now paranoid that I got the name wrong on the order ...

Ros - never heard of mufti day!

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 13:45

mufti? sounds vaguely obscene
I think I will need name tags too apparently once thy start nursery everything needs to be tagged

don't think ours has a uniform as such dh fancies those with hats and boaters etc the pesky problem being they are usually religious or private schools

slng · 08/07/2008 13:51

sfx - dh fancies them? Cannot quite picture him wearing a boater...

ComeOVeneer · 08/07/2008 13:52

Hi all. Have a busy week. DH is off work with a nasty ear/throat/chest infection. He is really really unwell (fingers crossed the rest of us avoid it) Lots of school/nursery events in the run up to end of term (a lot of which are supposed to be outdoors....)

DD is of to Teddington studios tomorrow to participate in the filming of an english version of Hi-5 (she keeps telling people she is going to be famous )

Hope everyone is well. I have signed up for the meet-up (dh is taking a few days off work that week and taking the children to stay at his parents so I have 4 days all to myself )

stepfordwife · 08/07/2008 13:53

name tags?
hasty scrawl in black felt-tip pen suffice?

slng · 08/07/2008 13:53

sfx - sorry was thinking Sushi's DH. Have not seen your dh or picture, but no doubt would be very fetching in boater.

stepfordwife · 08/07/2008 13:55

well, marker pen that is, of course
i'm no amateur..
hope dh better soon, cov

slng · 08/07/2008 13:55

steppie - have tried scrawling with fabric pen but found that to be too difficult ... No felt tip pens at home. That's strange, isn't it?

stepfordwife · 08/07/2008 13:56

hello everyone btw
am actually working so better not stop..
toodlepip

stepfordwife · 08/07/2008 14:05

sing, no felt tip pens at home sounds a very wise move...judging by the state of my walls

Kewcumber · 08/07/2008 14:06

Oh we have felt tips galore slng, please have some of mine - my ma insists on buying them... how kind.

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 14:06

slng dh of the former mohican with boater sound s funny even funnier than the mohican

cov hope dh did not spread the germs and gets better soon

slng · 08/07/2008 14:10

sfx - dh used to have a mohican too! But not boater.

Kew - you can keep your felt tip pens! We do have a white board - the surrounding wall is also decorated. DS2 now knows the errors of his ways and can be seen now and then to be trying to erase traces of his crime with the whiteboard eraser.

sfxmum · 08/07/2008 14:12

put a couple of dd pics on profile
