dd thinks that 6.30am is a suitable time to wake up after going to sleep at 9.30

hope everyone has a lovely weekend I think I will drink a lot nothing like an Irish/ Scottish wedding to do damage to the liver

Paddlechick666 · 04/07/2008 08:17

sfx, hope the wedding goes well.

i am still feeling wiped out from Glasto.

SJ99 · 04/07/2008 09:14

No tix here either, I'm not expecting them til next week though. LOL at Mr SFX!

Haven't been on wicked but ta for link, I have resigned myself we'll be camping which I'm quite looking fwd to (even if DS doesn't want to share our tent!)

Glasto pics are fab, so pleased you enjoyed it so much

Off to Thomas Day Out tomorrow, can't wait to see DS face when we get there, it will be nice surprise for him. Must remember to put him in wellies though, forecast not good.

Met up with Amanda yesterday, nice to catch up with you

Right better go and wake lazy bones or we'll be late for Cheeky Monkeys

SJ99 · 04/07/2008 09:16

Oh and enjoy the wedding Sfx

rosmerta · 04/07/2008 12:56

Enjoy the wedding sfx!

Ds also slept 12hrs, as tired as he gets during the day, no nap everyday seems to be doing him good!

Think we'll head off to Kew this afternoon provided it stays nice, got a few bits for a picnic tea if anyone would like to join us.

bunyanvillas · 04/07/2008 19:00

Wish I was going to Latitude - dead jealous Maybe next year ... PC was nice to catch up, you are looking great! Well, tis another rocking Fri night here at bunyanvillas - dh off out for a run shortly and me sitting with laptop/telly! Need to start a good book. SJ where are you going for the Thomas Day, Hampshire? Do tell, I'd like to take dd along soon. SFX, hope you have a good old knees up at the celtic wedding, I love a good do!

Paddlechick666 · 04/07/2008 19:28

evening all, well dd back at Dr today for bottom issue.

oral ABs and advice to accelerate potty training so i guess that's me told!

off to kew tomorrow for a picnic with a single dad mate and his ds (NO! There is nothing going on before you lot start!!) so will be attempting a nappy free day.

what do you do about car travel tho? nappy on for journey? really don't want car seat ruined

bunyan fab to see you. sorry it was a flying visit. you look fab too, am sure the next few weeks will give you an opportunity for a bit of non-dc related stimulation.

okay, gotta run and get dd into bed. 10 min snooze this arvo and i am hoping for another 12 hour night.

we'll see...........

SJ99 · 04/07/2008 19:36

Hello Bunyan, how are you?
Thomas day is near Aylesbury, I'll let you know if it's any good. Also having a teletastic night as DH's boss suddenly decided to take them out for beers at 3pm as they've all worked so hard. Not sure what time or state he will return in

Ros - how was picnic? Decided to play in garden this afternoon after this morning's mayhem

Feeling quite sad (but in a good way), just had a lovely email from one of my friend's in Sweden and I suddenly really missed being with her Flaming hormones eh? Off to have some more ice cream, well we do need to empty our freezer

SJ99 · 04/07/2008 19:38

PC you could put a towel on DD's car seat on top of plastic bag. Enjoy the picnic

bunyanvillas · 04/07/2008 20:15

Yes - SJ/PC that's what we did re: the car seat/potty training. There were a few sudden stops in laybys/car parks if I remember rightly! Don't worry about it too much PC - GO FOR IT! PC do you know what Chipping Norton is like by the way? Wondering if we would like to live there and I see that it's near Bicester, isn't that where you are looking at?

fitfox · 04/07/2008 20:16

Paddle I used to put trainer pants on for long car joureys. For short ones I took one of those portable potties/or a normal potty and just said "tell me when you need to do a wee wee so we can stop". Every 10 minues or so, I'd say "do you need a wee wee yet?" just to ensure there were no accidents.

I used to walk round with the potty tucked under the buggy too

A friend was potty training her daughter and the child needed a poo while mummy was queuing in a busy shop during the sales.

Mummy whipped potty out, DD did her poo (whilst mummy kept her place in the queue). One mummy had paid for her bargains, she walked across the shop, cool as acucumbr, and deposited poo into the shop toilets!

bunyanvillas · 04/07/2008 20:18

SJ my hormones are stuffed and I'm not even pregnant any more!!! Wish I had a big tub of Ben & Jerrys here but prob a good job we don't as this weight isn't going to drop off by itself Right. Off to bed now as chubba will no doubt be bright eyed and bushy tailed at 0314am (precisely.) as per usual!

bunyanvillas · 04/07/2008 20:19

Fitfox - LOL re: supermarket potty story!!!! G'night all, Waltons-style.

Paddlechick666 · 04/07/2008 20:25

lol @ queue poo!

i have one of those portable potty things which will get well used i suspect.

part of problem is that CM will put her in a nappy for school run as that takes 90mins. was kinda hoping to stave this off till summer hols started.

ho hum.......

bunyan, sleep well m'dear!

btw chippy is nice as far as i can recall. it's a bit north and east of Bicester and a long old time since i went there.

there's a good brewery nearby and i expect it has it's fair share of "rural market town" yobbish behaviour.

posher than bicester tho

rosmerta · 04/07/2008 21:09

paddle, friends of ours recently started potty training and they're basically plonking their ds on the potty every hour. They reckon no accidents so far. When they're out they have one of those mini potty things that you put the bag on.

foxie, lol @ poo story!

hi bunyan, hope ds isn't awake too early for you!

Once again, plans for Kew scuppered. Ds apparently didn't feel up to it so we just played in the garden. Then had to sweep up all the sand that he decided to dump over the patio!

fitfox · 05/07/2008 11:31

Mornin' all!!

The next 3 weekends for us are an endless round of children's parties. DD has 2 this weekend. We have 4 next weekend etc etc!!!

sfxmum · 05/07/2008 18:40

greeting from knees up in Lancashire blessed wifi in room.
well all going well there are men in kilts and quite a lot of merry making. dd managed to grab a bouquet and is not letting go

hope everyone is well
love the poo story

we had a nightmare journey yesterday 8hrs plus on motorway all without nappy, dd did very well.

ok think I have recovered a bit now, the dancing starts in a little while

the bride does indeed look lovely

Paddlechick666 · 05/07/2008 20:48

evening all

glad the wedding going well sfx, top marks for getting on and updating us

had a lovely day out at kew with my mate and his son today.

nappy free all day and not a single accident till we got home. i was being very pro-active tho and getting dd to go as frequently as possible.

two accidents when we got home tho, countered by 3 points where she put herself on the loo.

am going to attempt kingston tomorrow as need to get wellies for latitude and a gift for CM's b'day.

i'm exhausted!

slng · 06/07/2008 14:02

Afternoon all!

We went for a swim this morning and then to Kiraku at Ealing Common for lunch. They do the most wonderful sashimi and teriyaki. Yum!

We are contemplating potty-training for DS2. Have fished out 17 pairs of pants from storage to be laundered in preparation ...

rosmerta · 06/07/2008 18:33

paddle, good going with the potty training! Must admit I'm being very lazy with ds, but tbh I don't think he's fully ready yet. He'll sit on the potty but only if he's watching Peppa Pig

sfx, glad the wedding went well, how was the dancing?!

Slng, sounds like a lovely morning!

I see its supposed to be raining all next week (boo)

sfxmum · 06/07/2008 19:01

quick hi
how goes the potty training?

sooo tired dd went to bed at 11pm last night we got her up at 9 for breakfast and headed home, thankfully a speedy journey half the time it took us to get there.

the evening do was fun many sprite pensioners doing better than the 20 something dd danced with everyone, nicked a bouquet from a bridesmaid and would not let go, it is now by her bed.
apparently the party went on until 3am and I saw some girl still wearing the party dress this morning - classy

I need some sleep

and I have an essay to write by Wednesday HELP

hope everyone is well

rosmerta · 06/07/2008 19:04

Sounds a lot like my wedding

Paddlechick666 · 06/07/2008 19:15

evening all

well, another successful potty day. no accidents at all today.

kingston was fine even tho took an age to park. used the porta potty in the car park then m&s.

mind you, this evening it's taken about 15 sits on the loo and 45mins to produce a poo!!!

i am utterly wiped out again this evening. no idea why as dd slept till nearly 9am. albeit after waking at 4:30 then 5 then 5:30 again. nothing too dramatic just calling for me so tucked her back in and left.

why do i feel so so so tired?! hope am not coming down with something.

sfx, must arrange a time to return your wellies. wedding sounds like fun, not surprised you're tired tonight tho.

frecklyfox · 06/07/2008 20:38

Well done mini-pads n your self control

SFX wedding sounds good - glad you had fun

My DD often goes to bed in her party dress!!
