MrsRecycle · 16/07/2008 12:12

success!!

mellow2 · 16/07/2008 12:32

I've gone away to check up on what our options are re new mortgage when our current fixed rate expires mid of next year.

I feel a little calmer now knowing what my options are.

Thanks for tipping me off, Kew!

Hi all, the macaroni cheese dish sounds nice, must try that some time. Right now, I try to cook in bulk and freeze lots so any other recipes for freezable meals are good!

Sfx, yes please to bread recipe, its fair enough to call me lazy, I am

Ds has done lots of walking today, we went to the garden centre to get him a special watering can!

Paddlechick666 · 16/07/2008 14:24

d'you wanna stay for tea MrsR?

the McCheese should be ready about 6ish.

Kewcumber · 16/07/2008 15:04

6'ish you say? How many will it feed?

MrsRecycle · 16/07/2008 15:27

that would be lovely pc, if you don't mind.

But feel free to let KC take my portion as I know she's a growing woman

Kewcumber · 16/07/2008 15:28

sod off MrsR - you have to be nice to be as I'm going to be "family".

Hey you could start threads about your nightmare SIL ...

sfxmum · 16/07/2008 15:46

so is the plan meet at paddles at 6 for mac'n'cheese?

Kewcumber · 16/07/2008 15:50

apparently sfx... see you there.

sfxmum · 16/07/2008 15:54

Ros will email when I get a minute tonight

cheese loaf is half way there but will leave to bake after dinner, banana bread in the oven, about to start on the cookies

might not feel like dinner tonight but I suppose I will have to cook for the rest of them

sfxmum · 16/07/2008 15:59

because I am not using my laptop I keep seeing this adverts popping up all over the place how odd
best secure this one too

Paddlechick666 · 16/07/2008 16:00

roll up! roll up! I have just made the most enormous mac n cheese!

i didn't really follow any ingredient sizes and actually cooked way way way too much macaroni!

there's enough cheese in it to give a cow a heart attack

lets hope it freezes ok!

think i may have lost the enthusiasm for a banana bread now. maybe tomorrow morning before we leave.....

Kewcumber · 16/07/2008 16:03

can you cut a ltter box sized portion and post it throguh my door on your way tomorrow morning...

sfxmum · 16/07/2008 16:06

am taking bets as to what time we leave tomorrow, the campsite opens at 2pm and I really want to be there early but I know this family, last year it was nearly dark when the last peg went in the ground

rosmerta · 16/07/2008 16:20

lol sfx, I remember the last time I went to a festival & we managed to choose our spot as the furthest point from the car. Took us well over 3hrs to get everything ferried & set up!

Hmm, just realised, I've got time to make it to Paddle's for 6pm

Paddlechick666 · 16/07/2008 16:27

well, I am assuming H will be here about 11ish and we will set off about noon.

Going on a max speed of 55mph with a tail wind, I hope we'll arrive about 4ish but it'll probably be 5ish.

Not having to set up tent etc is a bonus.

SFX, we can always entertain dd whilst you and DH get pitched etc.

Paddlechick666 · 16/07/2008 16:28

kew, you know I would but we'll be heading west not east!

Paddlechick666 · 16/07/2008 16:28

kew, you know I would but we'll be heading west not east!

rosmerta · 16/07/2008 16:31

sfx, meant to say don't worry about getting recipe emailed tonight. Am sure you've got lots to do before tomorrow.

sfxmum · 16/07/2008 16:35

Ros Latitude is considerably smaller than most festivals I have maps and have chosen spots, what can possibly go wrong
last year it was wet when we got there soggy group pushing dd plus backpack dh bringing up the rear carrying tent food and backpack swearing like a trooper

I am quite good at putting tents up I will have you know, former girl guide I am

Kewcumber · 16/07/2008 16:47

that was obviously a letter box sized portion not a litter box sized portion.

I am east of you Paddle...

ComeOVeneer · 16/07/2008 16:59

Have a fantastic time all of you heading to Latitude. I have spent many lovely holidays near Southwold (dh's "godparents" have an old mill near there which we use regularly). Hope the travel is easy and the weather good.

Enjoy your Mac'n'cheese paddle.

I am free on the 3rd of August so happy to be base camp for parking/trip to trains and perhaps a tea etc afterwards (food for kids and wine/nibbles for adults). Let me know who wants to join in!

sfxmum · 16/07/2008 19:46

mrsR is the caravan free on first week of August? it is my sisters asking really to take their family

will email contacts etc

MrsTiddles · 16/07/2008 20:41

hello
sfxmum kindly said I should ask on this thread if anyone knows Teddies nursery in Twickenham
(my thread was attracting no takers, sadly)
thanks for any answers!
