MrsRecycle · 16/07/2008 11:01

meant to say slng got your message - have replied.

Paddlechick666 · 16/07/2008 11:05

thanks MrsR, problem is dd is still having her bedtime milk and I don't want to stop that just yet.

tbh, this is the first time she has ever woken up demanding a wee so it might've just been a one off.

we'll see I guess!

thanks CoV.

ComeOVeneer · 16/07/2008 11:06

We are encountering problems with regards to night time toilet trips. DD has her own oensuite bathroom, and ds has his own bathroom too. The problem is his isn't ensuite and becasue of his noctural wanderings (when awake and also asleep) we have had to install a cabin lock on his door to keep him in. Cue 5am this morning, a hysterical boy holding his bottom and doing a wild dance "I NEED A POO"!!!!!

ComeOVeneer · 16/07/2008 11:08

Talking of cheese sauce, another yummy meal...

Leeks (parboiled) wrapped in thick slices of ham, covered in cheese suce and baked in the oven, served with chips to dip in the cheese sauce. Pretty cheap meal too.

MrsRecycle · 16/07/2008 11:11

just remembered why I came on here - does anyone have a "builder" hat I can borrow for dd2? Kiddie size will do. I can drive over and pick it up. She is a builder in her family picnic show and I've got the shirt off ebay. Thanks!

Paddlechick666 · 16/07/2008 11:13

i've got an entire BoB The Builder outfit you can borrow MrsR.

hat, tabard, tool kit in a box etc.

when d'you need it by?

sfxmum · 16/07/2008 11:16

quick question what is a reasonable price for cleaning carpets? am clueless and am taking quotes this morning
it is for my living room, dd bedroom and hall
if they ask me the area measurements I will not have a clue

I like leeks sounds yum chips are an indulgence aren't they?

ComeOVeneer · 16/07/2008 11:20

Ds has a builders hat but it is a hell of a long way for you to come and collect it though.

Kewcumber · 16/07/2008 11:20

Paddle my mums dietician recommended throwing a handful or those old fashioned diced tinned mixed veg into almost anything if you are having a problme getting your five a day - she said you can hardly taste themn once cooked and they're almost as good as frozen and easy to keep in the cupboard.

I've tried it a couple of times and she's right. WOuldn;t recommend it as the only way to get your 5 but in addiotion to the normal stuff is fine particular when stewed/baked into something.

Kewcumber · 16/07/2008 11:21

I think about £30 per room less if small room and discount if doing several rooms.

sfxmum · 16/07/2008 11:26

thanks KC have finally started the process of moving dd to her own room, you would have thought that buying the bed would do it

Paddlechick666 · 16/07/2008 11:32

CoV, can I make the dish now but put it in the oven to finish cooking later?

sfx, sorry i have no idea. last landlord quoted 200 quid for carpets in the old house which was stairs, landing and 2 bedrooms.

Kewcumber · 16/07/2008 11:37

I think thats a lot PC and yes you can prepare Mac'ncheese and cook later.

ComeOVeneer · 16/07/2008 11:42

Yes you just need to put it in the oven for longer (obviously). Start heating it covered in tin foil then remove to allow it to go golden.

Paddlechick666 · 16/07/2008 11:43

thanks kew.

one final macaroni cheese question (I promise!): can i freeze it?

MrsRecycle · 16/07/2008 11:45

oh pc that sounds brilliant - can I drop by yours and pick it up tonight? You are a super-star and dd2 will be so pleased. She has a dress rehearsal on Friday.

ComeOVeneer · 16/07/2008 11:46

Never frozen it but have frozen cheese sauce before so I'm sure it would freeze fine.

Paddlechick666 · 16/07/2008 11:47

yep no worries MrsR, I'll hunt down all the bits n bobs (scuse the pun) for you.

be nice to see you too.

Paddlechick666 · 16/07/2008 11:48

cool, thanks again CoV!

Kewcumber · 16/07/2008 11:48

like Cov I see no reason ahy you couldn't freeze though I would make sure the pasta was well-covered by cheese sauce

MrsRecycle · 16/07/2008 11:48

will be nice to see you as well. Around 5ish ok?

sfxmum · 16/07/2008 11:52

am figuratively biting my tongue about the translations thread Spanish/English, so far it seems only bilingual English people have replied and there seem to be 2 fundamental errors - sorry just had to let it out
anyway it is still comprehensible so I guess that is all that matters, my Spanish not that great these days anyway

Hungry now

Paddlechick666 · 16/07/2008 11:55

i pick dd up at 5pm so don't get back here till 5:20ish if that's okay?

Paddlechick666 · 16/07/2008 11:58

remind me to give you a chq for camber too.

MrsRecycle · 16/07/2008 12:12

now I can't post
