Thanks I'll bear that in mind this time next mth if we've not completed

SushiMummy · 11/06/2008 12:45

Hi everyone.

xoxo - congrats! I was 40 when I had DS. Glad pregnancy going well.

QC - was it bad (tube) this morning? I got in early (7am) so not a problem. Saw your DS pictures - how cute! Has his hair turned lighter?

Kewcumber · 11/06/2008 12:49

not much I think it was just the light behind him.

Signal failure at Kew sometime after you left obviously

SushiMummy · 11/06/2008 12:53

I see. Have noticed my DS's hair goes lighter in the summer. Is it normal?

Hope the tube is back to normal when we leave home. Have started interviewing people, it's quite exhausting.

ComeOVeneer · 11/06/2008 12:56

Heard on the radio there was a problem at Kew and wondered if it would effect you QC.

Well have just dropped ds off at nursery, and can't be bothered to do a thing this afternoon, think I may even have a sleep

Meant to say earlier sorry you/ds are poorly MrsR.

fitfox · 11/06/2008 14:15

Afternoon!!!!

MrsR hope DS is better. My DS2 had a rash with the virus too - we had a meningitis scare at one point!

Oxo- nice to see you

Bunyan how is LO?

stepfordwife · 11/06/2008 15:06

hello everyone
congrats, oxo
i had dd at 42, fine age to get up the duff!
look after yourself. have you told the dcs yet? how did they take it?

mrsR..hope ds and you feeling better, you poor things.

ah, kew, tube rage..i'm starting to get over my office envy now.

i need a serious kick up the backside - you know that feeling when you've got so many things to do/think about/organise, you can't focus on one single goddamn thing properly?

oh....

no?

you smug wenches
l
lordy, is that the time..........

stepfordwife · 11/06/2008 15:07

and , paddle, blimey, that's a pretty sussed pipe dream, m'dear

can i come?

Paddlechick666 · 11/06/2008 15:20

course you can steppie, you can go out to work to earn baked beans money whilst dd and i do extensive research on the beach.

look what i found too:
for even cheaper travelling!

sfxmum · 11/06/2008 16:30

just a quick one before I catch up WARNING
district line running with huge delays due to electric problems

sfxmum · 11/06/2008 16:35

paddle I love the plan so have to get my act together and bugger off before kid/s don't wants us to come with

SJ fab time thanks for invite will definitely go back, dd was very enthusiastic and making plans but she is quite cranky now

steppie virtually kickthanks for fathers day info, back at homeland it is march 19
btw has dd been back to CM without hassle?

Paddlechick666 · 11/06/2008 16:39

I'm not really sure you lot should encourage me to do this!!!

Actually if H's new job works out okay, I am pretty certain I could live on the maintenance he pays me as long as the rent on the flat covered the mortgage.

Sell my car and buy my own campervan, travel out the property crisis, get away from disgusting neighbours and come back next year.

only leaves career high and dry.

maybe could write a travel book........

bunyanvillas · 11/06/2008 16:46

SJ / SFX - did you go to the 1 o'clock club? I had totally forgotten about that place! It's really good isn't it. We must go soon. As it happens, we actually made it out of the house today! Went to the playground at Marble Hill for an hour, was great to get some air. Oxo - congrats on pregnancy! My ds was born just a few weeks before my 40th - older mothers are in vogue! Right. Off to conjure up something for tea, let's hope it's better than the overcooked chicken that dd valiantly chewed her way through last night

sfxmum · 11/06/2008 17:03

bunyan that is the one, good fun too. let meet at when you feel up to it.

sfxmum · 11/06/2008 17:04

that meant to be let's meet up when you feel up to it

sfxmum · 11/06/2008 17:04

oh I give up where is my coffee

sfxmum · 11/06/2008 17:15

apparently Portugal is doing well at the footie should I pretend to be patriotic?

SJ99 · 11/06/2008 17:39

Depends who they are playing against

Sfx - Yes it was a fun afternoon thanks for coming, DS was enjoying himself so much we didn't leave til 3.45 and has been on a real high since but is v.v.v tired, early bed tonight I think.
Bumped into Xoxo as we left - hello again!

Glad you had a good outing Bunyan

Paddle you've got it all sussed, go for it

Steppie hope you get through your to-do list. At least you have the Apprentice final to look fwd to tonight!

fitfox · 11/06/2008 17:49

Oh Dear - I just made an embarassing Freudian slip

I collected DS1 after school and was sitting on a bench in the playground. DS1's friend came up to me and said:

"Can DS1 come to my house to play now?"

The friend's Mum was standing right in front of me, chatting to me (she is really nice).

She has a terrible case of seperated stomache muscles, so her tummy sticks out.

Her tummy was directly in front of my face.

I said, in a nice clear voice:

"Yes, that's OK with me. But have you asked your Tummy?"

His Mum didn't say anything but she looked really hurt

ComeOVeneer · 11/06/2008 18:31

Oh foxy that is the sort of thing I would do. Did you/she say anything afterwards?

sfxmum · 11/06/2008 19:21

oh foxie sorry, but if she is fairly close might be good to clear the air.

dh held up at work and fretful child at home, fun bedtime no doubt

has anyone heard of the super secret documents left on the train? whoever did this needs to be fired, they are not very good at keeping things secret and safe are they?

ComeOVeneer · 11/06/2008 19:55

Blimey, not heard of it sfx, but more documents lost. It is getting ridiculous!

fitfox · 11/06/2008 21:32

She is an aquaintance -I couldn't mentionit - it ould just emphasise it too much!!!

Which documents SFX?

sfxmum · 11/06/2008 21:37

these

this is partly why I never believe in conspiracies, too much incompetence

shame about the woman she might be feeling low, I only recently heard about the condition ouch

fitfox · 11/06/2008 22:06

Crikey!!!

Yes she is fee;ing low - she told me last week. I really like her as well. I will be extra, extra nice to her now to try and make up for being such a plonker
