SJ99 · 11/06/2008 09:12

Morning

MrsR - DS seems to have had a bad run lately , hopefully he's feeling better

Sfx - hope tutorial went well

MrsRecycle · 11/06/2008 09:36

morning! ds much better but still has a nasty cough and now has a rash - his df has measles but ds has had the MMR so don't think its that (but you never know as he hasn't had the booster) Arghhhh. Also, now I'm ill - feel awful with flu/sore throat. And dd1 has a stomach bug. We've certainly had a run lately haven't we? When will it stop?

hi mrsR, really sorry to hear you're under the weather. croup is so hard for LOs. have you got a humidifier? they really can help.

hope you're all feeling better soon.

a quiet night here thank goodness altho dd had a bit of a shout about 3am.

sorry to see the sun is fading. am still mulling things over in my head.

i hate my job right now which doesn't help!

sfxmum · 11/06/2008 09:43

mrsR plenty of rest I think

SJ it went well thanks. dd woke up early again today, must keep things quiet this morning to be with a chance of moderately well behaved child on the bus later

not so warm any more is it?

Kewcumber · 11/06/2008 09:49

bloody tubes

Sorry to hear you/family aren't well - its shit isn't it, you get to feel that someones got it in for you after a while don't you?

ComeOVeneer · 11/06/2008 09:49

Morning all. Well doesn't look as though it is going to be as nice weather today. No plans either, may try my hand at making some macarons inspired by the Pierre Hermes ones from Paris and some cupcakes for one of my neighbours who had a baby yesterday!

sfxmum · 11/06/2008 09:53

oh I love macaroons assorted colours with filling yum yum
the only worthwhile thing in horrid Harrods imo

xoxo · 11/06/2008 10:51

morning everyone. I've been searching all MN and am glad I found you!

Sorry I haven't been here for a while. Life, kids, and pregnancy to blame. Yes, I did say pregnancy. Courtesy of the coil. Due November.

I'll need to trawl to catch up (wow, you people can chat for ever!). For now though, hello!

SJ99 · 11/06/2008 10:54

I've just made some giant blueberry muffins, they are taking over the kitchen

DS also woke up early today but seems to be in a good mood after initial grumpiness, let's see how long that lasts

Paddle - where would you go and for how long?

Just hung washing out, that is guaranteed to bring the rain

SJ99 · 11/06/2008 10:55

Hello Xoxo and congratulations I'm due Nov 15th, what about you? Hope all is well

ComeOVeneer · 11/06/2008 10:55

Congrats xoxo. Bet that was a shock!

sfxmum · 11/06/2008 10:55

xoxo congratulations!
how are you?

SJ are you still up for Marble Hill?

xoxo · 11/06/2008 11:00

Hi SJ99 - I knew you were as I've met up with Foxy to pick her brains on being pregnant 'femme d'un certain age'. Congratulations to you!

Due around the 20th November (which will be my 41st birthday!)Pregnancy going well: more scans than I care to mention but all's well. Puking has stopped and the I'm well into the second trimester 'glow'. Just knackered!

SJ99 · 11/06/2008 11:01

Sfx - still planning to go, how about you? A friend is coming too

SJ99 · 11/06/2008 11:03

Yes I'm due on my b'day too Am past vom stage too thankfully and feeling much better now. Glad your pregnancy is going well

sfxmum · 11/06/2008 11:03

SJ yes all seems to be on track should leave here shortly after 12, want to be on way home by 2.23 or so

xoxo ros (former puds) is expecting too

Paddlechick666 · 11/06/2008 11:04

wow! congrats Oxo! gotta love that coil eh! LOL.

sj, if it happened i'd look to head south thru europe. leave around september and follow the sun.

i'd rent the flat out and use my savings to pay any monthly outgoings (life ins etc) for 6 months.

that would leave me a small sum on which to live but it probably wouldn't be enough. i'd have to find some sort of casual work which would be tricky with dd.

unless i sell the flat at a good price, buy house near GPs at a good price and realise a bit more money to pay for 6 months travelling.

guess it's really just a pipe dream

ComeOVeneer · 11/06/2008 11:06

2.23 sfx, very particular

SJ99 · 11/06/2008 11:11

2.23 Don't think we'll stay past 3pm and hoping DS will sleep after that

Paddle - dream sounds nice

Kewcumber · 11/06/2008 11:11

blimey Oxo you must have the eggs of a 25 year old for them to be fetilized through a coil at your advanced age Huge congratulations!

xoxo · 11/06/2008 11:17

Thanks Kew. Actually my stats are the same as a 15 year old (according to the Fetal Medicine Centre). .
and, yes, giving my advancing (indeed galloping age), it is a huge suprise. Personally I blame dh, after all I'd done my bit (useless as it was)

am now dragging my aged bones downstairs to give dd beans on toast before school! TTFN

sfxmum · 11/06/2008 11:20

yep military precision round this house nothing whatsoever to do with incompetent typing oh no

SJ99 · 11/06/2008 11:41

Our landlord has finally agreed to extend our rental for another mth, suddenly pressure has been lifted that we won't be made homeless in 2wks, phew

Kewcumber · 11/06/2008 12:09

there was always my shed spare room SJ!
