foxie ds1's day seems lovely
as does COV's bbq

SJ we were at Kew yesterday as well but stayed well away from walkway, we went there the previous weekend, lovely but busy and dd kept tripping while chasing grampa and and came away with very bruised knees, must go up one day soon when it is quiet

SushiMummy · 09/06/2008 09:45

Morning all. Hope eveyone is enjoying the sun.

Went to DS's nursery open day on Sat. It was quiet as two other schools did their open day/fair nearby - too much competition . DS and other few had the bouncy castle/slide all to themselves. Where were you, QC?

Lovely to see you, DD and your DS yesterday, Mellow. Thanks for the samples.

Kewcumber · 09/06/2008 09:50

Hi Sushi - can you beleive I was ill!!!

Caught what DS had earlier in the week - v high temp which came on very quickly, terribly sore throat (like tonsilitus) and slightly dodgy tummy. I was cross because I really wanted to go but was too sick. Tahnkfully, like with DS, only lasted 2 days - recovered just in time to go back to work

Kewcumber · 09/06/2008 09:53

lovely christening cake Cov, let me know how it turns out and if I ever get around to having a naming ceremony/adoption party for DS I'll commission you.

ComeOVeneer · 09/06/2008 09:59

Thanks Kew (don't need to comission, it would be a gift to you/ds). WOw it is hot already (not complaining). Have a very dull day ahead of me. Have to book car MOT, take dd's bike to Halfords to be repaired, B&Q for a new kitchen tap, John Lewis for a matress protector, collect ds from nursery, dd from school with a friend for a playdate then take dd and friend to ballet, collect them, feed them, drop friend home, continue work on all the paperwork/speech for new parents presentation on Thursday evening. When all I really want to do is get the lounger out a park my butt in the garden for the day

Kewcumber · 09/06/2008 10:06

new office has air con (hurrah)

SushiMummy · 09/06/2008 10:20

Glad you and your DS are better, QC. My office has too much air-con - freezing cold!

Kewcumber · 09/06/2008 10:22

ah mine is just right... I've emailed you on something completely unrelated.

sfxmum · 09/06/2008 10:48

dd is completely obsessed with stuffing balloons/ balls/ dolls under her dress saying she has a baby there and saying she will be a big sister

SJ at the other mum but afaik it would be ok for you, still very inconsiderate behaviour

Kewcumber · 09/06/2008 12:08

does anyone have friendsor family who would like to housesit over Xmas? I'm away 18-28th Dec only "duty" would be to feed cats. Thought if anyone wanted to invite family for Xmas but didn't have room my house would be ideal Two double beds and one single. No need to stay for whole time, sure I can get cat feeding duty arranged if necessary.

SJ99 · 09/06/2008 14:11

KC - no idea what we'll be doing for Xmas, with new baby in tow not sure what we'll be happening. If you haven't found anyone nearer the time let me know and I can try and help out. Glad you & DS are feeling better btw

Sfx - I haven't had pox hence the risk, I didn't want to chance it. We went on walkway Sat am it was fairly quiet, DS seemed to enjoy it. It's bit freaky that you can see through the mesh to the ground while walking

After doing errands and getting daily trainspotting fix, we've been lounging garden, nice! Got DS his 1st magazine today, he seems to enjoy 'reading' Thomas, stickers kept him busy for a while

Kewcumber · 09/06/2008 14:44

Sj - was thinking more if you want to spend Xmas at home then parents or in-laws can come and stay at mine for Xmas wihout actually living with you!

sfxmum · 09/06/2008 15:26

lovely sunny day

SJ the magazine is a slippery slope I have to think twice if I really need to go tp newsagent or post office. dd loves and knows a few all with assorted plastic free gifts at the front.
however given my addiction to mags I can't really complain but dh despairs

re the pox it is thoughtless and selfish behaviour no doubt

KC we are likely to be away over Christmas but only 23-26 or so, happy to feed cats if you need to

dd went out in a totally unsuitable polka dot party dress with net underskirt but she is a fairy princess so that is ok

SJ99 · 09/06/2008 15:28

I got that, I just wasn't sure if we'll be having any visitors or whether we'd be going to stay with GP's! We probably won't make plans til later in the year so it still might work out if we do end up having guests

Kewcumber · 09/06/2008 15:30

thanks for cat feeding offer - I may take a selection of you up on that. I just thought someone might like to stay so will go that route first... Or you could use it as your own personal study area SFX

SJ99 · 09/06/2008 15:33

Magazine won't be a regular thing, I just bought it on the spur of the moment & told DS it was a treat. DS not impressed with free plastic toy though

Glad minisfx is enjoying being fairy princess

Just back from walk down the river, it is really hot now

sfxmum · 09/06/2008 15:39

QC this course will be done by the end of the month not yet decided what to do next.

SJ we came back by the river too and then went to shops for new hat because HRH the fairy princess needed a new one, ended up with goggles as well I am such a push over, what she needs is a sibling

Kewcumber · 09/06/2008 15:43

and when her sibling turns out to be a younger version of DS who stelas her Thomas... will she be agreeing with you then

sfxmum · 09/06/2008 15:48

precisely be careful what you wish for

a couple of nights ago she had bad dreams and came to our bed, once she finally settled dh gave her a kiss, she had her face turned to me, very sleepy, got a huge slow grin and said - daddy gave me a kiss, I like daddy kisses ans drifted off to sleep

sfxmum · 09/06/2008 16:15

paddle I love the van so much more practical than a tent, is it his?
lovely lovely

SJ99 · 09/06/2008 16:21

Aww, that's a nice way to drift off to sleep.

A friend just emailed, she has her own business and has some new stock and wants me to model some for her website. Am flattered but also I said she could try and take some pics see how they turn out..

Paddlechick666 · 09/06/2008 16:30

afternoon all

had a fabulous weekend away. weather stunning. campsite lovely. local beach lovely and so so so accessable.

this campervan business is just so easy and relaxing.

fair go to H, he has got it all very well set up so everything to hand. the roof pops up and dd is supposed to sleep up there but she didn't in the end. i imagine she will tho as she gets more confident.

there's water on tap and a proper stove alth we just used the bbq.

also have a car fridge thing so we could just rock up to the beach and not move all day! lunch in the van then pull the bed out for a siesta.

SFX, yeah it is his and I did tell him I would now progress the divorce papers so that I could get the van as settlement.

btw, pics on FB for anyone who hasn't spotted them yet.

hope everyone well and had a good weekend too.

stepfordwife · 09/06/2008 16:45
