Foxie,
That's alright. I'm afraid I dont' have any more trial-sizes of that shampoo.

Kewcumber · 03/06/2008 21:06

DS seems to be on the mend - so far only stomach cramps no appetite and high temp. Finegrs crossed that he sleeps well and is better tomorrow - he;s like velcro child at the moemnt.

bunyanvillas · 03/06/2008 21:36

SJ, may have some other contacts for you re: house stuff, will keep you posted. Has anyone any idea when (if) the rain will ever stop? Struggling to get motivated this week, am very BORED

bunyanvillas · 03/06/2008 21:37

Oh, sorry Kew, so ds has been unwell? Hope he's better soon. Sorry - hadn't bothered to read thread properly, apathy reigns. Hello everyone else, hope no other ailments.

Paddlechick666 · 03/06/2008 21:48

hey bunyan, come join me on apathy planet

kew, hope ds better tomorrow. finger's x'd dd seems okay. apparently refused her lunch (after virtually no brekkie) but perked up after lunch.

still being a bit of a demon tho, man i have no idea where she gets her willpower from. we had a stand-off over having a banana right before bedtime tonight. went on for ages and she yelled and screamed all thru her bath.

subsequently neighbour cranked music up after there having been a hiatus since i went nuts last week.

right, must go and remove banana skin from bathroom bin.

guess you can tell who wins the battles in this house then!

Paddlechick666 · 03/06/2008 21:50

perked up after nap not lunch as she ate no lunch.

mellow2 · 04/06/2008 07:57

Kew,
Glad that ds is feeling better.

Paddlechick666 · 04/06/2008 08:07

morning all, pretty bad night here. dd up at 4am for what i have no idea. she said a noise in her bedroom but i didn't hear anything and i normally do.

she was up till gone 5am so i let her sleep in (she still woke at 7am) and will take her to CM about 9:30ish.

very bleary eyed here..........

SJ99 · 04/06/2008 08:57

Morning all,

Oh no Paddle, sorry things are rough atm, doesn't sound like DD is quite herself, makes it really hard on you.

KC - glad DS is over the worst of it

Thanks for tips Bunyan, things seem to have slowed right down here. Looks like we can extend our rental as no takers on this house so far, phew. So now up to vendor to sort out her rental. Rest of it is in solictors hands so not much else we can do other than hassle them daily.

Looks like sunshine today so will make the most of being outdoors, no doubt pink pushchair will feature on our outing

mellow2 · 04/06/2008 09:01

Paddle,
Poor dd and you. Could it be night terrors that spooked her?

sfxmum · 04/06/2008 09:19

good morning all - look sunshine

KC fingers crossed it is all better now

paddle sorry about bad night, did she just wake up and stayed awake? maybe something is upsetting her, when their imagination starts developing things can get a bit crazy

dd was shouting a lot last night but it was just loud dreams, not spooked.

SJ love the idea of pushchair,I know it is one of the presents coming up this weekend so no doubt dd will take to it too.

hope the weather holds aft

Paddlechick666 · 04/06/2008 09:39

thanks all, she's normally such a good sleeper that it wrecks me when she wakes in the night.

twice this week now

she has a slight cough which isn't helping. honestly have no idea what woke her but once she was awake she couldn't find something she'd taken to bed so cue lots of yelling. then of course she was wide awake demanding to go into my bed.

after over an hour of her talking/flinging herself around/messing about i lost my patience and put her (yelling) back in her own bed. went back in once more then she settled for another hour or so till 7am.

and has been hyper all morning ever since.

the stress of trying to keep her quiet in the mornings is really not good for either of us......

SJ99 · 04/06/2008 09:40

DS just said he 'want friend mini-Ros to come and play', looks like you'll have to come round then

I just bought the pushchair for his 2nd b'day as he used to love pushing his big round the house all the time. I didn't realise it would give him so much joy to take it out with him on walks otherwise I'd have got him a blue one

gaelsmama · 04/06/2008 09:50

good morning everyone! we are back from being INTERNET-less for several weeks with the move into St. Mags. house is a disaster (of course) given that the furniture arrived from the US finally.
bunyan are you getting out and about now with your 2 babes?
sfx how is party planning going for your hilarious little DD? (her sling has not arrived yet from the US btw...)

gaelsmama · 04/06/2008 09:55

ooops sfx i think party passed... sorry just catchin up

sfxmum · 04/06/2008 10:21

paddle seems unfair all that keeping quiet in the morning, how noisy can she be?

gmamma hi good to see you around, guess lovely boy as grown some since last I saw him.
sorry about the move troubles, complete pain they are.

SJ originally dd was very much for blue as favourite colour but given recent dress choices I am not so sure

ok must get into gear and do something

sfxmum · 04/06/2008 10:22

and gaelsmama party went fine thanks pics on FB

sfxmum · 04/06/2008 10:31

I think I need help I tuned in on purpose to watch a re run od David Dimbleby A Picture of Britain, it's Wales and the West Country today

Paddlechick666 · 04/06/2008 10:32

sfx, she can be very noisy. thunders around from room to room and talking at the top of her voice or yelling breakfast instructions etc etc.

pains me to curb her morning exuberance but she is a bit OTT, especially if she's not had much good sleep.

am really trying to get her to understand indoor voices and outdoor voices but it's not easy.

Paddlechick666 · 04/06/2008 10:34

sfx, if you need help then I really need help as I am gutted that Tony has asked Rachel to marry him.

And if anyone else knows what I am talking about then I am very very to be outed

sfxmum · 04/06/2008 10:39

nope you are safe with me, no soaps no reality shows no idea at all.

but you see he is showing Somerset now and Hardy country swoon swoon....

yes indoor / outdoor voices and a penchant for screeching is trying at times

Paddlechick666 · 04/06/2008 10:45

Wales & The West Country are two of my favourite UK places.

Really must do some work.........

I have 1 soap I watch and 1 American drama thingy.

I wish I could watch Lost but stupid Virgin and stupid Sky had a ruck.

Apart from that I watch very little TV.

Altho I do like Hugh Fernley-WhitterWhatterNot chappie.

Please can I just jack everything in and head for Cornwall and go native?

Please...........

ComeOVeneer · 04/06/2008 11:09

Morning all. Lovely to see the sun has resurfaced. Have spent a couple of hour pottering in the garden with ds's "help". I love being able to hang the laundry out instead of having sheets draped over the bannisters, and am loathed to use the tumble dryer if I can avoid it.

Paddle sorry you had a bad night. Ds is like that if he wakes in the night he can take forever to settle again. It doesn't help that I to am like that so if I wake I can be awake for 2-3 hours. TBH I can't remember the last time I had a solid nights sleep (certainly pre pregnancies so going on almost 8 years ). I am just used to living in a state of permenant tiredness.

Kew, glad to here ds seems to be on the mend.

MrsR how are your brood doing?

Right am off for a long bike ride this afternoon after dropping ds at nursery (part of my getting trim for summer campaign).

Catch you all later!

fitfox · 04/06/2008 12:16

Oooh I love the west country too - espcially the accents and the pasties!!
