Hi! I thought it might be an idea to motivate each other in a dedicated thread.

OK, i just wanted to tell everyone IVE STARTED MY TRAINING and it feels great!! Im following a book called 'Running made easy' and its working. Ive only done 2 days, but i actually RAN!!! woohooo. erm, it was only 1minute, then 3mins walking x 4, but considering how unfit i am, i am well chuffed.

So come on - make me envious of your athletic abilities! 12 minutes indeed

OK Ok Ok...I will start up again in France. You have all done better than me and I feel a little responsible for getting you into this! I will have something to report other than a bad neck in a couple of weeks...promise!

Maybe I'll have to try to nag you into a 10k, Mung! Oh, and my shoulder hurts now too! There's nothing for it, DD2 is just going to have to learn to walk!

Pooter - it gets scary cos after the next run (2 x 10 mins runs with a 5 min walk in between) I don't get any walking breaks! Just 25 min runs, then 28 min runs, then 30 min runs!

Really don't feel ready for that

Maybe your jeans are tighter cos you're developing a fab J-Lo bum Saz!

But I thought everything was supposed to get smaller - I really don't think it's possible for my bum to get any bigger! I have to tie a jumper round my waist when I go jogging to save embarrasement as it is!

All gone very quiet again, girls!

Did week 6 run 2 yesterday. I thought I was going to die. My shoulder has been killing me all week, so I think perhaps it messed up my perfect technique and threw me a bit.

Can't decide whether to repeat or go for the 25-minuter tomorrow...

SP, you're making me feel very lazy, haven't been out since last Wednesday. I have lost motivation, need a push. I am busy now til the weekend but will go on Saturday definitely definitely and then they'll be no stopping me!

Oh bugger...I am so behind on this. I took my trrainers away with good intentions and the obvious happened...I ate and drank way too much to get off my fat back side to run. Well, thats not totally true...I did a week 4 run once and felt really motivated to do it again and then couldn't find a long enough gap between food and alcohol to get out again.

I used the podcast and it was so much easier and it made me run much better.

Well done SP..you put us all to shame!

Ha ha Mung am laughing about not having a long enough gap between food and alcohol, that sounds like me. Mmm food and alcohol or running, tough decision! Hope you had a good holiday. I still haven't been out...it's just so rainy, well that's my excuse! SP, how are you doing? Pooter?

Welcome back Mung! Sounds like you had a good hols!

I really need to get my arse back in gear. Going out tonight whatever the weather is doing. Can't decide whether to attempt 25 mins again or do a bit of an easier session that I've got more chance of finishing!

So I'm not putting anyone to shame! I went away for the weekend and took my trainers along ... brought them back unsullied as well!

Yay, been out. Did 27 mins minus having to walk to pick my way through a few really muddy bits!

Today's lesson is : Highwoods gets really muddy when its been chucking it down for 2 days!

Well done Mung! Don't forget to have rest days! Pretty impressed you managed to go out that late. My last window is normally immediately after kids go to bed, beyond that the call of the sofa is too strong!

Only got sponsorship from my parents/husband/in-laws. Got an email from RFL about setting up a sponsorship webpage. Didn't want to do it too far in advance otherwise people will forget they've sponsored me and then it'll get all embarrassing having to chase them! Or, I'm too lazy to sort it out...
