Other thread full, so hope you all find me

Sushi, sorry I don't know anyone but there is a nanny agency near Kew Bridge. Hope ds is ok, typical of them to get ill at exactly the wrong time, isn't it?!

Foxie, we've sent off our form so am hoping we get our first choice (Weymouth)!

Ros - on the contrary, it turned out to be a very thrilling match with the right result. I'm not sure if that amount of tension is good for the bump though, the penalty shoot out was nail biting!
That's sweet DS asked for my DS. Good luck for your scan

Slng - I understand your anger, you can never win in the eyes of these people, you can only do your best

Weather is so nice we had a late breakfast in the garden, nice way to start the day. Right, best get ready to head out.

Enjoy your swim or Kew, Sfx

rosmerta · 22/05/2008 09:59

sorry sj, I misread your post about Chelsea equalising! Congratulations then!

ros of course sorry was just thinking SJ was telling me about her 12wk last week and for some reason I thought you were further along.

so exciting and so stomach churning at the same time.

slng I don't now if they are required to have any sort of qualification, most of them are not the practice managers. afair FIL's receptionist was the vicars wife and a complete loon.

in fact quite a lot of them are barking and very obnoxious imo

Paddlechick666 · 22/05/2008 10:01

pah! right result indeed.

slng use these guys and complain www.dh.gov.uk/en/Managingyourorganisation/PatientAndPublicinvolvement/Patientadviceandliaisonservice s/index.htm

good luck ros.

DM taking DD to Kew today so you might see 'em.

Kewcumber · 22/05/2008 10:02

Steppie - DS is still singing Happy birthday to your DS everytime we mention a birthday. Words go something like:

"hub hub myyyyyyyyy, hub bth myyyyyyyyyy"

I think its welsh.... or maybe Russian...

Social worker tomorrow, again.

Good luck with scan Ros

Kewcumber · 22/05/2008 10:03

SLNG the receptionists association can be found here

slng · 22/05/2008 10:08

Thanks Paddle. I will complain, AFTER I get ds seen. The doctor is going to phone back, which means I can't phone anybody. The most upsetting thing is that I really don't care what they think, but they think that they can sit in judgement about people and situations they don't have a clue about, and the logical part of me gets in a rage because it is just SO WRONG, SO ILLOGICAL, SO STUPID. I always try NOT to hold people in utter contempt - surely everyone has something redeemable about them - but some people really push it.

slng · 22/05/2008 10:11

Kew I thought they were underrepresented in this Is that unkind? Of course not - I'm ANGRY, remember?

Paddlechick666 · 22/05/2008 10:17

i'm a bit wheezey today, please can i be kept off nursery work?

sfxmum · 22/05/2008 10:19
Grin
slng · 22/05/2008 10:20

Seriously, though. He wheezes and is a bit grumpy, and the nursery is 5 minutes very slow walk away. Is it any different whether he plays in nursery or at home while I phone up the doctors? "It doesn't matter how far it is you've sent him away to. I wouldn't have" says God's own representative on earth aka the receptionist.

slng · 22/05/2008 10:20

OK OK get over it, I hear!

slng · 22/05/2008 10:23

AM I negligent?

Paddlechick666 · 22/05/2008 10:24

OMG! How very dare she pass comment!

I'd be fuming too quite frankly.

What are they going to prescribe for him anyway? Sweet FA I expect.

Get your appt/speak to Dr then roast her judgemental ass with a blistering complaint.

Paddlechick666 · 22/05/2008 10:27

of course you're not blardy negligent!

negligent would be not bothering to call the DR at all.

negligent would be not even noticing he was a bit wheezy.

negligent would be allowing your kids to starve to death.

you are NOT negligent. you're likely feeling a bit needled because of some small question mark in your own mind as to whether he should go or not.

my DM called me negligent once for not taking dd immediately to the dr for something relatively minor when i had an appt for the following day

she's never done it since tho!

sfxmum · 22/05/2008 10:33

no don't think it is negligence, wish these busy bodies would shut

now do I bother shaving my legs to go swimming? decisions decisions

Kewcumber · 22/05/2008 10:39

definitely negligent.

I think you should ring social services and report yourself.

slng · 22/05/2008 10:49

You are right Kew. I shall congratulate the receptionist for spotting that, and complement her on her caring attitude and comment on how lucky her children must be because of the wealth of her medical knowledge.

sfx - No need to shave legs for swimming. If anybody comes near enough to see kick them.

SJ99 · 22/05/2008 10:50

Not negligent. Good luck with making your camplaint. Surprise surpise, I just got our morgage offer through, hooray! Amazing what difference a few words of complaint to the right people can make.

Anwyay really must get out too shops/park.

Sfx - yes, please shave

Kewcumber · 22/05/2008 10:51

ooh how exciting Sj. Housewarmnig round SJ's soon all invited (apart from SLNG who will be banged up for neglecting her DS)

SJ99 · 22/05/2008 10:53

Now just need to tie up a few loose ends and I think we'll be able to exchange and complete shortly
Slng - maybe they'll let you out on day release for the housewarming?

sfxmum · 22/05/2008 11:11

congrats SJ all shaved now not to worry I think I will walk there as was too lazy to go jog this morning.

slng not to worry we will send care packages when you are in jail
funny how receptionists are really a bit like security guards all puff no substance and mightily annoying

slng · 22/05/2008 11:19

Can't talk now packing bag to go to jail.

slng · 22/05/2008 11:20

Do they let you pack a bag? Like going to hospital? I'm mixing up the two. Pretty similar, eh?

sfxmum · 22/05/2008 11:56

not much experience of that but I think no shoelaces or belts
and pack plenty of fags
