Other thread full, so hope you all find me

Sushi, sorry I don't know anyone but there is a nanny agency near Kew Bridge. Hope ds is ok, typical of them to get ill at exactly the wrong time, isn't it?!

Foxie, we've sent off our form so am hoping we get our first choice (Weymouth)!

Hello all

Another vote for Steppie in bunches

Ros - didn't realise you would be going to Kew as well today, pity we missed you. Nice to see Mellow and DD though DS also kept asking to go on train on the way out, my cop out answer was for him to ask daddy to take him Anyway it worked as he stopped asking then!

MrsR/PC - DS had Doodles last summer which worked out pretty well as he could wear the sandals in the sea. The crocs do look cute, I saw some in DS size but didn't buy them cos they looked huge (he has narrow feet)

Sfx - glad mini-sfx doesn't have any recollection of her nightmares, hope you get some rest today

Cov - hope you get some AB's in time for flight

SJ99 · 21/05/2008 15:49

Meant to add hope mini-Ros nose isn't broken and that it heals itself

sfxmum · 21/05/2008 17:05

hello all

ros fingers crossed all is well, we took the ride once with my aunt and I found it quite informative, dd also decided to tell everyone where the badger set was with great enthusiasm

we went over to my sister's as it is her birthday (my little sis is 35!) we did not stay for dinner but at least got to see the rest of the family albeit briefly.

dd was fantastic on the train except when we were aligghting at south ken she just blinking sat down on the floor and I had to pluck her up bag and folded buggy plus screaming toddler

sfxmum · 21/05/2008 17:14

steppie for a limited period only there is a pic of me with bunches on this time last year, only way I managed to convince dd

stepfordwife · 21/05/2008 18:21

sfx
actually you can carry them, off.
go on, tell the truth, wasn't for dd's benefit at all, was it..
right, want to see a pic of you with plaits now

oh ffs, ds1 is having amatuer dramatics over something, better investigate..

stepfordwife · 21/05/2008 18:21

carry them off, that is!
amazing what a difference a comma makes

mellow2 · 21/05/2008 18:41

sfx, you look really cute

ros, sorry we missed you at kew.

SJ99 · 21/05/2008 19:07

Sfx - cute piccie

sfxmum · 21/05/2008 19:25

you lot ritual humiliation

as for plaits Helga the milkmaid I think

sfxmum · 21/05/2008 19:28

must find pic of dh wearing a necklace and scarf - tesco man was very amused when dd asked him if he thought daddy looked beautiful, she had done it and dh forgot about it

SJ99 · 21/05/2008 19:31

I met DH on a ski holiday 8yrs ago and confess to wearing plaits whilst I skiied (I had much longer hair in those days) which tended to freeze up as the snow got in them. The thought of it now

SJ99 · 21/05/2008 19:32

Sfx

Anyway must go and get ready to watch the footy, hope it will be a good match

Kewcumber · 21/05/2008 20:29

is there footie on?

Kewcumber · 21/05/2008 20:30

is it that russian thing?

SJ99 · 21/05/2008 20:35

Yes but disaster as Chelsea have just equalised

SJ99 · 21/05/2008 20:41

Am also starting to get pissed off with mortgage lender, just had a text from broker who said they still haven't issued mortgage offer He said their service this past week has been appauling. We've been told every day for last week it will be issued no problem. Time for serious complaints back to lender now especially as we're so close to exchanging. Ok rant over, back to 2nd half

slng · 21/05/2008 20:49

Completely no interest in football in this household ...

Anyone been to snakes and ladders? Any good?

mellow2 · 21/05/2008 21:11

Maybe the mortgage lender is restructuring. A number of the banks have lost a lot of money in the sub-prime market, notably HSBC.

SJ99 · 21/05/2008 21:41

Not sure what the problem is but from what I've heard it does sound internal rather than they have a problem with us IYSWIM, which in a way makes it more frustrating

Sorry haven't been to snakes & ladders. Think we'll just head to local park tom morning as need to pick up parcel from PO and do a few other errands

rosmerta · 22/05/2008 08:40

slng, personally I hate S&L, just too busy & I always seem to be shooing older children out of the under 3s area. Plus they also now charge for adults to enter!

Sj, hope you weren't too upset with football. Must admit I didn't watch it, my neighbours were such good commentators I could tell what was going on . Btw, I asked ds what he would like to do today and he said minisj! Definitely try & meet up next week.

Keep your fingers crossed for me today, scan this afternoon.

I have just been accused of being a negligent mother for sending my son to nursery despite him wheezing a little. The GP receptionist says "I wouldn't have". Can I kick somebody? I AM SO ANGRY. OH HOW I HATE THESE PEOPLE. HOW I HATE THEM!!! If you ask for early appointment you get accused of being precious. If you don't you are negligent. I would like to strangle the lot of them. I AM SO ANGRY.

sfxmum · 22/05/2008 09:49

good morning all

Ros is it the 20wk already? best of luck

slng I think the point is you are a mother therefore are always wrong, do keep up.

not sure what to do today, if after we are still having breakfast, so it will be swimming or Kew looks lovely out

I did watch a little bit of the game here and there but have no personal engagement seemed to be ok and fairly exciting as these things go.

now one thing I do like watching is diving, no idea why but am mesmerised

rosmerta · 22/05/2008 09:50

Sfx, just the 12 week one today!

sfx - you are right. Nonetheless I want revenge. Is there a GP surgery receptionist association that I can complain to? I will have my revenge at some point. Wise Chinese saying: "10 years is not too long to wait for revenge". I have a very good memory and hold my grudges for a very long time.
