Other thread full, so hope you all find me

Sushi, sorry I don't know anyone but there is a nanny agency near Kew Bridge. Hope ds is ok, typical of them to get ill at exactly the wrong time, isn't it?!

Foxie, we've sent off our form so am hoping we get our first choice (Weymouth)!

SFX, excellent running!
dd also goes thru 'when I a baby' and apparently 'when I a big girl I will be 6. When I 6 I will be taller than daddy and I will buy you an ice-cream' LOL
oh and sometimes she has one leg which is a boy and the other is a girl. And she wants to know when it's her turn to have a baby in her tummy 'coz I waitin very patiently'

A very very long bloody time young lady methinks!!!!!!

sfxmum · 13/05/2008 17:20

I don't watch Bob very often as I really don't like the voice guy, don't think Wendy would go for him, she seems far too sensible

as for mags I bought one on the strength of Mariella Froufrou in the cover

another sign of middle age I thought to write and complain about an inaccuracy in the Quiz show is that better or worst and phoning in to Any Answers?

sfxmum · 13/05/2008 17:21

ROLF paddle get the girl a chastity belt

rosmerta · 13/05/2008 17:30

oohhh, Jackie was my favourite! I also have an addiction to magazines, dh moans constantly that our coffee table is just full of my magazines. Somehow I don't think Total Golf is mine!

Sj, lol @ tweenie. Ds is convinced that its not just me carrying the baby but 'daddy baby too', 'my baby too', 'nanny baby too' and so on.

Sfx, well done on run! Now get cracking on that essay (says she who's MN-ing instead of reading!).

Ds has a new obsession - Peppa Pig. He woke up this morning & was just chanting 'Peppa Pig' over and over again. He's also very impatient and can't wait between each episode but has to be fast-forwarded all of 1 minute! Definitely gets that from dh!

lol @ minipaddle!

Ds has also turned into a peeping tom, looking through a hole in the fence at the girls next door on their trampoline

LOL at mini-pads and mini-ros, please don't let in a room alone together

DS latest obsession is with pole dancing. Hence a quick trip to the shops ends up taking nearly an hr, every lampost/pole we pass DS has to grab and spin round pole dancing style. Highly amusing but equally annoying, is it too much to ask to just walk down the street in a straight line?

Paddlechick666 · 13/05/2008 18:23

sj, yes it is far too much to ask. as is walking along sedately next to mummy rather than hooning up the street scaring the bejesus outta me!

fitfox · 13/05/2008 18:29

Who said "Skinny Cow"?

I like the double choc ones (slurp..)

Yes, squirrals are eating the house!

Sorry I haven't time to catch up - (trots off again)

mellow2 · 13/05/2008 18:44

Sfx,
Thanks re: comment about my shop.

Lol at minipaddle's remarks. Dd is hillarious (sp?) these days too. It makes it easier for times when she's trying my patience.

I'm really busy at the moment so I really don't have time to catch up.

mellow2 · 13/05/2008 18:46

But I hope everyone's well.

slng · 13/05/2008 19:42

SJ - I've finally talked ds1 and ds2 out of hugging every lampost we walk pass. We've got inexplicable patches of grass dotted about everywhere in our area with signs saying "NO BALL GAMES" and our compromise is no running on the pavement but allowed to go mad on those patches... I'm beginning to wonder how anyone ever manages to get children walking to school and actually get there before sunset.

Kewcumber · 13/05/2008 20:29

ooh and I thought I had the only lampost hugger. To be fair DS isn;t too bad about walking his bumbles along quite happily

Kewcumber · 13/05/2008 20:31

sat opposite this very odd woman on the ay hme this evening. She put her bag down between her legs so I couldn't stretch mine out. And then she talked to me all the way hme too all about her DS who has just had chicken pox. Very odd.

Paddlechick666 · 13/05/2008 20:32

kew, the world is full of weirdos

i just had a FB message from my first serious boyfriend.

freaky!

Paddlechick666 · 13/05/2008 20:34

dd fell asleep "reading" a book to monkey tonight, soooo cute!

dropped keys into agent on way home and spoke to assistant manager who told me the "do not advertise on internet" box was ticked on my property!

Kewcumber · 13/05/2008 20:38

it was a nice pink bag though. Bizarrely she seemed to know quite a bit about me.

Paddlechick666 · 13/05/2008 20:51

single white female!!!!!!!!!!

sfxmum · 13/05/2008 21:11

LOL

SJ99 · 13/05/2008 21:29

How did she know about you?!

Am dead excited one of my bezzie mates from uni is coming to visit me tomorrow, cannot wait. Haven't seen him in ages, he's been travelling for past few yrs and is in London just for 1wk before heading off again. KC & PC - he's single, if you don't mind a long distance romance make yourselves available tom

Paddlechick666 · 13/05/2008 21:33

grrr, i gotta go be corporate all day tomorrow

long distance relationship would suit me jes fine i reckon!

SJ99 · 13/05/2008 21:47

I suppose it has it's advantages

fitfox · 13/05/2008 22:00

QC - you must look like a Mum so she zoned in on you (the woman on the tube that is). Well done for surviving the night of the long knives

Saw a newborn on the tube today and nearly grabbed it after asking the Mum if she needed help with the buggy

Slng - the answer is "shout at them"!! Not really, but the tone of my voice ensures that all the DCs know that on school days, they do not get to admire the foliage on the way to school. On the way back, they can admire it to their little hearts are content

Ros - we just got a letter about our £15 Sun holiday!! We got our first choice of Parc (fabby one in Cornwall near beach with swimming, sauna, jacuzzi, kids club and loads of facilities) and 3rd choice date - (end of school hols) have you got your letter today?

Anyone else send off the tokens?

fitfox · 13/05/2008 22:03

"We're all going on a summer holiday..."

fitfox · 13/05/2008 22:04

QC Waddya mean "knew a lot about me"???

sfxmum · 13/05/2008 22:12

sitting on my fingers and feeling like am at school going 'miss miss I know
