sfxmum · 26/03/2008 15:56

DD that is

ComeOVeneer · 26/03/2008 15:59

Slng give my ds the dvd it will be useless in a manner of seconds .

The child free trip will indeed include shopping and lovely meals out, lie-ins, art galleries and museums. DH flies out on the Wednesday, I fly the Thursday, return together overnight Monday to get home Tuesday lunchtime (our wedding anniversary). We are getting a fab deal as dh's work has allowed him to trade his business class ticket in for 2 world traveller plus ones, and the hotel is paid for Weds/Thurs/Fri/Sat by them so we only need to pay one night's accomodation, leaving plenty of spending money . I will have to entertain myself Thursday night and Friday day whilst he is working but then we will hav plenty of time to enjoy ourselves and catch up with friends from when we lived there.

After a weekend persevering with potty-training, this morning my mum informs me that this morning we had .....

MrsR,
Really sorry to hear about your accident. I hope your DDs are not too badly shaken and your neck is ok.

Your AP does not sound like a very pleasant character. Well she'll be gone in a week.

Foxie,
I'm selling my flat but it'll take a while with the current market.

sfxmum · 26/03/2008 16:42

mellow2 · 26/03/2008 16:56

slng · 26/03/2008 17:39

I've just cooked the most awful soup I've ever tasted and no one (including me)wants to eat it! Luckily I've also baked the most wonderful carrot-parsnip-rosemary bread. I think we'll just eat up the whole 2lb loaf between the three of us and call it done ...

sfxmum · 26/03/2008 17:47

so people night out pick a date

sfxmum · 26/03/2008 17:47

please

SJ99 · 26/03/2008 17:56

carrot-parsnip-rosemary bread mmm sounds delicious. I think I'm going to make a really spicy balti tonight as haven't made that recipe for ages and fancy it.

Sorry to hear about your accident MrsR, nightmare. Glad you and DD's are not badly hurt. As for AP, what a cheek

Foxie - will defo check out website again in case any more deals are on

bunyanvillas · 26/03/2008 20:25

Goodness me, Mrs R - sorry to hear about the crash, how shocking for you. Glad everyone is ok. And as for the AP ... mon dieu! Just as well she is going, huh? Hope everyone else is ok! Congratulations to Gherkin on the potty success. PC, will read your link in a mo. Not much happening this end, looking forward to the Apprentice tonight and otherwise dull, dull, dull ...

fitfox · 26/03/2008 20:34

CoV your break sounds luvverly - all that relaxation/shopping/lunching with friends

QC - a round of applause to DS for his first wee wee in a potty!!

SJ - it was a Sun newspaper deal. I didn't buy the newspaper (honest Guv) but bought the tokens/form/details on Ebay!!!

We also got another one which is 4 days in Devon at the end of June, for a grand total of £75!! I did buy the paper for that one and used a priority booking refernce number which a mumsnetter very kindly gave me to ensure we got what we wanted!!

You have to send the tokens in with a list of your chosen dates/venues and then wait to see what they give you but its a great deal

DD is really poorly from her single Measles booster. Am glad she didn't get the triple MMR as she is quite sensitive to things. She has a high temperature and is asleep - they did warn that the booster can cause a strong reaction. I belive it is almost always the MMR booster which has been associated with poor reactions (as opposed to 18 month jabs)

Hope she recovers

QC how is DS now?

MrsR - your AP sound s a real hooror but I like your style in the way you have tackled it!!

DS2 said "nightmare" the other day when DH was changing his nappy (he hates nappy changes, but I may have misheard him... )

Kewcumber · 26/03/2008 23:03

stepfordwife · 26/03/2008 23:31

hello chaps
how you all diddling?

mrs r - so sorry about your crash and the AP

kew - enjoy wales 9..(didn't they win something recently...)

foxie, poor dd. hope she feels better soon. what a result on the holiday! i think it's where we've been...is it the berney riviere site??

ha! just becuase people don't buy the sun doesn't mean they don't read it, eh?

bunyan..wasn't the apprentice fab! i'm addicted already..that plonker and his educated vs footie fans professional suicide speech.
they seem a much more interesting (and attractive) bunch this year. on an even more shallow note, have a liking for lee, the big, strapping lad.

mellow - well done on your driving test..good luck for the next one.

dh working in warsaw for a few days, but back tomorrow night. have given him task of sourcing builders out there to make some glass doors for us..(oh, in between his work, that is..whatever he does..)
he sees work, i see a shopping opportunity...

better go to bed, i suppose
toodlepip
