foxie think those policies where introduced by the TB government, dd not on such good terms with him, too young then etc. but she is fast building a desire to punch GB

my only requirement is non religious school for primary, don't care about secondary, by then she should be less susceptible to religion or go through a pious phase who knows
(does it show I have a catholic school in mind)

fitfox · 25/03/2008 22:07

Mellow - got your txt!! Am around week after next, Mon, Weds or Sat - would be nice to see you!! BTW people are still loving those bags I bought from you!

Do you sell shampoo now?

(would be nice to see you anyway - not just for your shampoos)

Paddlechick666 · 25/03/2008 22:11

bloody hell foxie! respect on your day being an organisational nightmare that you clearly pulled off like a dream!

holiday upgrade sounds fab too.

sfx, thanks for compliment on FB pic. First decent pic of me and dd imo. DM took it and I monochromed it and I think I'll get it printed and framed.

fitfox · 25/03/2008 22:12

SFX - can she get into the Catholic secondary from a non catholic primary? Will be consulting you closer to the time on their application criteria for my DD

Ros - do you need any help with that G&Bs??? I ate two Lindt bunnies over the weekend plus lots of not so good chocolate

Glug, Hic!!

Spoke to a friend last night (you know her Steppy) who moved from Richmond to Kent. Ended up half feeling sorry for her, half extremely jealous!!!

The grass is always greener, non?

(prectising my French)

sfxmum · 25/03/2008 22:18

hols sound great foxie is it next week?
and crickey what a day, reminds me I must go t dentist yet again.

and regarding schools who knows what the criteria will be by then, niece got into a CofE on the atheist quota from a non denominational primary

I will stop with schools now making me feel ill

fitfox · 25/03/2008 22:19

Paddle, oh did I forget to mention the stress induced row we had in the middle of Eltham High St this morning?

Me: (doing an impressive impersonation of Bianca out of Eastenders, as we run down road 2 mins late for appointment - DS1 vomited in car as he gets motion sickness) "You are fecking useless!!"

Him: "You are a screaming harpie!"

Ahem!!

fitfox · 25/03/2008 22:22

SFX well Christ's have a non denominational quota too and me thinks will be a very fabby school!

It is on our list and I have already measured distance and have priest's reference ready (we would go for a church place)

sfxmum · 25/03/2008 22:22

good choice of insult bet he can spell it too

fitfox · 25/03/2008 22:27

SFX - you mean accurate?

Looky here - this is our £97.50 holiday:
siblu

sfxmum · 25/03/2008 22:37

can't see link but bet is nice

and kids are allowed creative licence surely

Kewcumber · 25/03/2008 22:43

foxie - which one of you was right in the fecking useless/harpy debate?

OP posts:
mellow2 · 26/03/2008 07:24

Well done, foxie on getting everything done without a hitch.

I'll let you know about next week. I'll be dropping off a shampoo sample of a new brand of shampoo I'll be carrying when I come. It would be nice to meet up not just to drop off the shampoo.

We're planning on doing some house doctoring to our flat to help and try and sell it. Mainly we have to turn the spare room back into a double bedroom. That's really going to be a challenge as it's an office cum stockroom atm.

mellow2 · 26/03/2008 07:25

I had a look on the Siblu website too. Your holiday sounds marvellous. If we weren't buying a property, I would be planning my trip to Italy now. [swoon]

sfxmum · 26/03/2008 11:05

good morning all

hope everyone is ok today, I am frankly quite bores actually doing some more chucking stuff out

so have come across Tesco computers for school vouchers, anyone collecting them/ want them?

SJ99 · 26/03/2008 11:35

Morning all

After mega play doh sesh yesterday where most of TTE characters re-created, been to library this morning.

Foxie - bargain holiday price, Siblu are meant to be dead good, when are you off? Well done on accomplishing your manic medical day

Ros - G&B choc egg wouldn't last v.long in my hands

MrsRecycle · 26/03/2008 13:30

foxie - you weren't anywhere near Guildford were you? You could have met me for a coffee. Well done on the cheapo (or sheepo as Au Pair says!) holiday - we paid more than that just for Eurotunnel for 3 nights last year. Is Disneyland on the agenda?

Hi everyone else - sorry no time to catch up - been busy trying to sort out caravans for you lot .

No seriously, have had nightmare time with AP, she's leaving next week (7 days - can you tell I'm counting!). So trying to find a replacement - dh is now on board and has rejigged my questions. He's even got the interviewing down to a T.

Also, someone smashed into my 2 month old car this morning, so having to sort out insurance company. I say smashed into as they came from a give way and decided to not look. Luckily loads of witnesses. DDs were in car (although ds wasn't) and were a bit shaken up. I've got a trip to docs this evening as my neck is killing me.

My CM is brilliant - she just has ds all day, so I'm getting a Nanny for CM rates. And he loves her to bits - gives her lots of cuddles and kisses.

ComeOVeneer · 26/03/2008 14:18

On no MrsR, hope you and the dd's are alright. Nice hot soak in the bath and ibufrofen for the neck.

Am of you holiday foxie, could do with one..Mind you now dh is smuggling me along to Chicago for a few days in May I no longer have to wait until August for a holiday (and this one is child free ).

Paddlechick666 · 26/03/2008 15:00

mrsr, nightmare about the crash. Similar happened to another friend over the weekend.
what's up with the ap?
Hope you find a new one soon.

fitfox · 26/03/2008 15:01

Hi - am getting seriously excited about the holiday now - we can go swimming each day even if the weather is bad and its next to a little French Village, and a River.

SJ/Mellow I still can't believe its only £19.50 each!!! I think the clever trick is to book one further away (S of France for example) close to an obscure airport and get a cheap Ryan Air flight. They have sites in Sardinia (a fave of ours) Italy, Spain etc. We have stayed close as we will be driving and I didn't have the mental capacity to think of flying .

Disneyland is not on agenda as we actually all hate it (the queuing, the crowds, the sadistic street furniture and the filthy junk food restaurants...yuk) but we can go to Paris and the Asterix Theme Park. DH and DS1 will go fishing

We haven't been away for 18 months - so sad isn't it?

MrSR I am so sorry to hear about your accident - you must be really shaken and it sounds as though you might have whiplash

Was your DD OK?

Mellow - I can do a Mon, Wed or Saturday from 7 April but not next week. Be nice to see you ..

Is your flat on the market or are you renting atm?

QC - I was right ...of course. (Not sure why you are asking really, as I am always right)

After medical intervention my gum boil has just dissappeared!! The surgeon said he found a fourth root canal which was causing the problem (most teeth only have 3, so it was missed). Am happy as I thought I would end up losing the tooth. Have booked a brace for my front teeth, so I can do Ugly Betty impersonations.

Took DCs to swimming lesson this morning and DS2 kept trying to toddle into the pool!!

fitfox · 26/03/2008 15:17

SFX we collect the school vouchers!

MrsRecycle · 26/03/2008 15:19

dds were very pale but not too bad although dh wants the docs to check them out.

brace I hear? I want one! Can you recommend your dentist?

pc - what's right with AP would be a better question. Discovered a blog which she updated using my ISP account slagging the whole family off. And she's racist and doesn't like dds ethnic friends. Haven't sacked her but am having great fun making sly digs every day about what she's said about us on the blog. Plus loads of playdates with dds dfs. [evil]

sfxmum · 26/03/2008 15:27

mrsR sorry about the crash how awful, hope you are all ok
and what an awful AP is she perchance my compatriot? I remember a while back you were planning on employing one.
best of luck with the next one

foxie ok will save and send

we managed to get to the playground today, very nice until the rain started.

SJ dd can't stop talking about the Thomas show and Hammersmith is the promised land, hope she does not get disappointed.

Cov a childless break with, I presume shopping, sounds great

slng · 26/03/2008 15:43

Hi all! GP bought kids Barney DVD! Oh GAWD!!! So now both are sitting happily watching the evil purple dinosaur sensation, "using their imaginations". Can anyone suggest what plausible accidents could happen to a DVD?

sfxmum · 26/03/2008 15:45

they make good flying objects and an interesting science lesson when they burn

slng · 26/03/2008 15:51

I'm trying to delay the introduction to arson, so maybe not burning. I suspect they will still play after flying ... Sometimes I wish the error-correction on DVDs is not so good ... Perhaps a lesson in what will or will not grow in soil?
