OP posts:
sfxmum · 19/03/2008 09:21

SJ I will probably see you at Kew will get dd out even if on rugby hold

steppie was that Westwood? is she loosing her touch? love her corsets so so gorgeous I spent the entire time I was watching 'leaving Las Vegas' thinking how good the hooker looked while ignoring Nic's overacting

fitfox · 19/03/2008 10:44

Ohh I have some of those corsets!! I was in the press once wearing it (City Limits or Time Out - can't remember now)

I was young once you know.

Am I the only one who finds Paddick a bit flakey? I mean at least with Bonkers Boris and Red Ken, you know what they stand for eh? In the sense that they stand for the lunatic fringes of the Tories and Labour. Quite reassuring that isn't it?

Steppy do your break up today too? Your DCs that is?

I have been waiting for this moment for so long now...over two weeks without having to get them scrubbed, home-worked, pack lunched, PE kitted each moring - hurrah!!

Do yours go back for 2 weeks then have a |"spring break"? Am thinking of taking DS1 to museums and things.

Anyway how do I get my next door neighbour to stop parking across our vehicular crossing? I have asked them so many times and their daughter still parks across the end of it so it took me 10 minutes to get my car in last night

DH usually makes her move it when she does it but last night we couldn't be bothered having the conversation.

Its MY space - Mine, Mine, Mine !!!

slng · 19/03/2008 10:56

Foxie - I'm with you about Boris and Ken. Paddick though - he's lib dem and they never do anything ever, so he's probably quite safe!

Meeting in 5 minutes! Better hurry up and finish my cherry muffin!

fitfox · 19/03/2008 12:37

I think if Paddick gets elected it will be a protest vote - which is fair enough really. I'm just not sure what he stands for really - he appears to be just jumping on any old bandwagon that rolls past.

I like the idea of an independent Major, just working for Londoners and not affiliated to party politics.

And although I don't like the Lib Dems (certainly not my experience of them in Southwark and Richmond) I have always thought that Simon Hughes would be the most fantastic Major for Londoners. I knew him in Southwark and he is incredibly hard working and genuinely cares about a lot of important issues which affect local people. Have always had a soft spot for Hughes, despite him getting in on a homophobic vote when he was gay himself

Kewcumber · 19/03/2008 12:44

I just can't beleive that the only credible major contenders to vote for are KEn and Boris I would have considered Paddick if I'd seen him say anything of any import. Perhaps he has and I missed it. (Quite possible unless he has a party polical broadcast on CBeebies)

Did you get the stuff FOxie - just want to be sure DH didn't bung them in a pile somehwere.

stepfordwife · 19/03/2008 12:52

hello everyone
just a quick "hi" as dd is in her usual barnacle-esque position on my back wailing some nonsense about wanting lunch

foxie, no we've got the easter weekend then their hols are between 7-23.
think your school is only one off now, isn't it?
you lucky, lucky, lucky thing -= just think how fab and quiet museums, etc will be.

SJ, know what you mean...can all get a bit spooky. i do think everyone has some level of intuition or even psychic abilities. but it's just so open to abuse, isn't it?

come on..i can't be the only one to have feelings for the chocolate fella. jeez...

fitfox · 19/03/2008 13:03

LOL QC - yes and we got the stuff many thanks for that

Have just noticed that Ds2 has large amounts of yellow fluid pouring out of his left ear - this is in addition to impetigo and an infected finger.

I had arrange for 3 children to come back with us this arvo for a playdate but have now had to quickly re-arrange so all the boys go to another house!!! Can't face taking 6 kids to the Doctors later on!

sfxmum · 19/03/2008 13:04

Result finally got the child out of the house and to Kew Gardens! but where have they put the animals this year?

regarding the Mayor we get to vote the assembly in as well, don't we? so the point is to create balance.
Pddick was the Brixton copper wasn't he (soft on drugs)

Kewcumber · 19/03/2008 13:06

Zoo at kew isn;t until April sfx. giant bunnies over Easter then the travelling zoo in April sometime.

OP posts:
sfxmum · 19/03/2008 13:08

AH thanks KC, thought it would be there over Easter, feel cheated

Kewcumber · 19/03/2008 13:19

its a sensible thought sfx and I thought the same when teh KEw mag came through. However at least I read the "events" bit of the magazine unlike you....

OP posts:
sfxmum · 19/03/2008 13:23

I always think the events should be when I want them to be and assume they made a mistake when it doesn't suit me
la la la

btw they are digging up Mortlake rd investigating the ongoing gas leak thing, I expect the queues will be awful later

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 19/03/2008 13:23

foxie, ds had yellow stuff coming out of his ear a few weeks ago, ended up on ABs for a couple of weeks but it did clear up pretty quickly, hope ds2 is ok!

We had a lovely morning at Kew today, took us an hour to walk from Main Gate to Victoria Gate but ds enjoyed it, especially when one of the tractor drivers waved at him! And he's now fast asleep without a peep.

Sj, shame about the bus but the 267 is quite unreliable! Hope ds enjoyed the park anyway.

sfxmum · 19/03/2008 13:54

I expect some of you are following MP's entanglements over on the other thread

Ros we started at Vicky gate went to C&C then doubled back,I also manage to loose track of dd at the Palm House
DD I shouted
I am here she answered while running away from me

SJ99 · 19/03/2008 14:04

Glad you made it out of the house Sfx, sorry we did not get there, it wasn't for lack of trying. We waited over 20mins for a bus (should be every 10mins) and when it finally arrived it was packed Decided to salvage the rest of morning and go to park instead which DS enjoyed. He pretended to be a shopkeeper at the counter under the slide and kept cooking up twigs to serve to me. He too fast asleep now. It's freezing today isn't it?

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 19/03/2008 14:06

lol @ minisfx, I decided to avoid C&C today & just do the walk, ds was very taken with one of the Henry Moore statues and didn't want to leave it!

SJ99 · 19/03/2008 14:06

I saw this in a magazine and thought of you Sfx. Not used website so don't know if any good but it may have something you fancy or give you some inspiration. Good luck

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 19/03/2008 14:11

I've used that website a couple of times, also this one, its ok but there isn't a huge range of jobs, mainly sales. But always worth a look.

Sfx, what's the MP entanglements thread? [nosey]

SJ99 · 19/03/2008 14:16

Might check out thiose websites if exam papers doesn't work out. Glad miniRos enjoyed the statues, very cultured of him!

sfxmum · 19/03/2008 14:17

thanks SJ it is very hard to think of something new to do tbh

Ros - C&C wasn't bad today I think the Moores will be gone by the end of the week, have lovely pics of dd trying to climb them

dh has Friday off so I might pop over to church up the road, always loved Easter, but only the sad bit and I always listen to JSBach's St Matthew passion over this period, have a great recording. Catholic conditioning

sfxmum · 19/03/2008 14:19

Ros the thread got deleted but it was all about morningpaer's sordid love life lots of and Cod

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 19/03/2008 14:21
