tonsillitis is awful whenever I have had it only antibiotic got rid of it. hope you feel better soon. weird ds2 infection poor poppet.

fitfox · 15/03/2008 13:57

Oh pants its raining now

Took DD to her class, then DS1 to his friends house.

I told DD its just her, DS2 and me for the afternoon. She said "Oh good, we can have a nice day then" ('cos DS1 isn't here to torment her)

Went to playground but had to come back when rain started

Kewcumber · 15/03/2008 15:22

cov - my don;t claw the leather sofa or chairs and it's wipe clean with the kids. I love it. (It does get slightly catched from wear and tear but the "aged" look fits in nicely in my house!)

ComeOVeneer · 15/03/2008 15:26

That is my thinking Kew. Sorry you are having such a rotten day foxie.

Kewcumber · 15/03/2008 19:58

so, Wales won?

fitfox · 15/03/2008 20:51

Oh was their a Rugger match on or something?

Back to the far more interesting subject of my babies infected spots, I have worked out he has Imetigo

(OK, well the CM told me yesterday what it is...and I have to admit she is correct - as usual)

This should be easy to cure as I already have unused Meds, which is OK until end of April 2008. His finger also appears to be infected though as he is aleays poking it into doors/drawers etc and keeps getting it stuck

Have done loads more painting of floor today and just need to spent about 90 minutes finishing off tomorrow

Camping on floor again tonight but hope DS2 doesn't keep me up all night again

Is the Rugger on the Telly later then?

Paddlechick666 · 15/03/2008 20:52

Grand Slam Reality!

How bluddy fantastic! DD was yelling at the TV and I've just shared a bottle of Taittinger with a friend who's here tonight!

ComeOVeneer · 15/03/2008 21:15

Good news on the rugby Kew/Paddle.

Sorry to hear about impetigo foxie (there was a note on the door of ds's nursery yesterday saying they have a case of chicken pox so I am awaiting the outbreak (yay).

Dh went off this afternoon to his parents' house to pick up his mum's car and head into central London for his monthly poker fest at some casino with a few friends, than stays at his parents. I am supposed to be driving up tomorrow to join him for lunch with all the relatives for the Israeli contingents visit. I have made a further 3 dozen iced cupcakes, a couple of other desserts and have tried my hand at a few tapas dishes (jerrano ham croquettes, prawn croquettes, breaded aubergine slices fried with dips, potato and chorizo, spanish omlette etc), and now MIL has decided she is to tired to host a meal for 30 odd people so it is all off. But I am welcome to bring the grandchildren up to see her and collect dh.

slng · 15/03/2008 21:48

COV - I'm speechless ...

sfxmum · 16/03/2008 10:10

good morning all

cov - is that on purpose?

SJ99 · 16/03/2008 10:24

Morning all

Hope everyone is well. Back from hols, the first few days were awful as DS had passed bug onto me so I felt rank and with the storms blowing we seriously considered going home! Glad we stayed though as after that holiday was fab, we did a few trips to some lovely neighbouring towns (DH now wants to move there), made it to beach twice, & spent a day with BIL & SIL who live there. Caravan was lovely and cosy, thanks again MrsR, hope you had a good weekend Just realised DH packed one of your towels so will need to rtn to you at some point.

Also had a spontaneuous night out clubbing (!) in Brixton on Fri which was good fun.

COV - , will try and catch up with thread today or tom to see what you've all been up to

fitfox · 16/03/2008 13:04

at the clubbing and hols SJ!!!

We're caravaning in France in a couple of weeks so hope the weather is good

CoV - that is just unbelievable - is she doing it to wind you up? What did you say when she announced she was cancelling?- "I hope you are hungry then" ??

Kewcumber · 16/03/2008 14:21

COv- as a seasoned adopter I could adopt some of your spare cupcakes? I would post it all to her.

Have I already mentioned the grand slam yet?

Am going to have so much fun grinding my rugby playing financial controllers face into the dirt tomorrwo.

'and on the way there we went to all the wrong places, and I really wanted to get there but we were lost'

mellow if you around I can't do it tomorrow dh is taking the day off and I plan on me time as much as possible. any other day this week ok?

SJ99 · 17/03/2008 09:16

Morning all

Nice to see some of you yesterday DS all partied out after this wkend so we're staying local. May head to park soon and I need to fit in a bikini wax at some point.

Foxie - sorry to hear cub not feeling well, any improvement today?

Nice name Ros, you've reminded me it's Easter this coming wkend (where does the time go?) Better do some choc shopping today too

Paddlechick666 · 17/03/2008 09:23

hello everyone!

sorry not to make party yesterday and miss your text SJ.

i had a lunch on the South Bank that was booked in ages ago.

had a friend down from ooop norf with her ds saturday night so we have had a fab weekend.

dd took some waking at 7am this morning - why can't that happen on a weekend i ask myself?!?!

i have a complete mental block about easter this year - will prob try to take dd to school on friday morning at this rate

Kewcumber · 17/03/2008 09:34

anyone else around over Easter? The weather is suuposed to be wet. Will probably met up with Dbro and his clan at some point but would be up for playing somewhere nice one day (and inside if weather is rubbish?!). I wonder if CPC is open over Easter?

OP posts:
slng · 17/03/2008 09:43

I've just phoned up the early learning centre and made them recite to me the names of the thomas trains they've got in stock! Isn't that embarrassing? DS1's got his preschool booster jab later on and I'm bribing him with a new toy and I really don't want to have to go to toys r us.

Not sure what we'll do over Easter. Might take kids swimming - ds2 never been to the pool! Or do my tree tour - supposed to go on Saturday but tour cancelled. It's going to be wet did you say, Kew? Hm.

FIL coming to see kids on Easter Monday and we are doing the Kew Bridge Steam Museum (sigh). Anyone knows if that big Young's pub on Kew Green near the Wine & Moussaka does good food?

twounder2 · 17/03/2008 09:50

Hi allI'm thinking of trying out the toddler groups in Isleworth this afternoon, which one is better in your opinion? The Redless One o clock club or the Babyzone?

twounder2 · 17/03/2008 09:52

this is for a 15 month old ds, and a heavily pregnant mummy for an hour or so.
