How exciting to be starting thread

Yay, thanks Sfx, am already looking forward to banana bread, mmmm!

In Sweden they had Noise Police (everything is so formally governed over there) but what a great idea, they used to go and put a stop the noise polluters, no messing.

SJ, congrats on the sparkling new thread, something that I have yet to achieve SFX, you don't fancy hand-delivering some emergency banana bread round to my house now, do you? Sounds great! dd and I made it to Kew ... at 3.20pm - and of course it shuts at 4.30, with C&C closing at 3.45pm! So, sadly my day was not an 8 out of 10 (having commenced with dd throwing hysterics when I tried to leave her at nursery, which is unusual - and followed by dramas on the home renovation front which I won't bore anyone with) but more a 4 .... I have actually felt like a very hormonal, slightly hysterical and rather fat pregnant person all day! PC, sorry to hear of your neighbour woes and hope you get it sorted, that's stressful for you. Our deaf 80 year old neighbour decided to watch TV in his bedroom on Sat and Sun night which was fun! Kew, hope you and ds are on the mend?

rosmerta · 22/01/2008 20:31

evening all, how can a 2yr old know exactly which buttons to press to wind you up?! Atm, we're just constantly getting tantrums around him getting in his pushchair. Its got to the stage where I'd rather not go out at all! Oh well, hopefully it will pass soon.

Hope everyone else is feeling better!

SJ99 · 22/01/2008 21:21

I think toddlers have Masters degrees in stubborness!

Sorry you didn't get an 8 today Bunyan, there is always tomorrow. Hormones flying about doesn't help though

Hope you & Ros both manage to relax this evening

OP posts:
rosmerta · 22/01/2008 21:35

bunyan, you're not on the contact list are you? Just realised I still need to send you the details for Friday pm if you & dd would like to come

bunyanvillas · 23/01/2008 08:23

Ros, the bad news is that a 3 year old also knows exactly what buttons to press!!! Although to be fair it does get better as it becomes easier to reason with them. We are around on Fri and would love to join you but of course, see how you are doing on numbers, we'll see you soon another time if you're feeling a tad over-subscribed! Right now - today I am definitely going to hit that 8 out of 10 Hope everyone else is gearing up for a good one - weather due to be mild today, hurrah!

rosmerta · 23/01/2008 09:52

You're more than welcome bunyan! Have you got my email or number at all?

SushiMummy · 23/01/2008 10:00

Morning all.

Hope everyone is well.

QC - it was nice to have a chat on the train this morning.

Kewcumber · 23/01/2008 10:45

Have dumped a sick DS with my poor sick mother feel really bad for her but desparately need to get some work done... on which note I'd better leave and get some done...

Kewcumber · 23/01/2008 15:05

he was glued to her lap this morning but you're welcome to try...

Paddlechick666 · 23/01/2008 15:41

Congrats to Kew and DS on your first year at home together.

I would've got it first had I not been in a risk workshop all day!

I'm going out this evening for drinks. How exciting!

SJ99 · 23/01/2008 15:58

Hello all

Congrats Kew on having been with your boy for a year now, it must feel pretty special to you.

Enjoy drinks out Paddle, watch out for the red witches

DH home tonight from Bristol what a treat, don't think he'll be back til 8-9pm, but cannot wait!

OP posts:
fitfox · 23/01/2008 16:04

Well I would have guessed first if I hadn't been busy shirking from home (specially as QC told me the other day )

What is the prize anyway?

Congrats QC on your mega Journey across the world and several social services/passport offices/insitutions/depts to meet your son (who is seriously gorgeous BTW)

Kewcumber · 23/01/2008 16:06

lady in the doctors waiting room thought he was a girl the other day

SJ99 · 23/01/2008 16:22

Some people eh?!

DS used to always get mistaken for being a girl, even when he was dressed head to toe in blue! Thankfully it doesn't happen too often now.

It must be because they have cute faces

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 23/01/2008 16:28

yes he was entirely in navy but he does have soft fluffy hair and is cute. Perhaps I should get him some kind of macho tatoo?

SJ99 · 23/01/2008 16:33

What about
I 'heart' Q C

across his knuckles?!
