Hi Mellow - was just about to text, Thurs would be better for us, I forgot that agents were inspecting property this afternoon. See you then!

Ros - will be staying in this afternoon for the same reason. Which day is your op btw?

Cbeebies sounds fab, I'm sure DS would love it but we have all the IL's coming over then. Good luck with your xmas shopping Paddle

I think we'll decorate tree this afternoon

SFX - I know what you mean about NY not being the same. We'll be at my parents in Wales then so we'll have small celebration but I'm sure I'll still be going to bed before midnight

SJ99 · 17/12/2007 13:50

Oops Mellow just re-read your message, I'm not free Thurs am, are you around Thurs afternoon?

rosmincepieeater · 17/12/2007 14:12

op is on Thursday, was supposed to be the other week but was cancelled. I'm still kind of expecting it to be cancelled again tbh.

sfxmum · 17/12/2007 14:28

ros was wondering about that thought you had it earlier in the month. hope it all goes well, whenever it happens

mellow sorry about that it's gone mad here and I am on a roll throwing stuff out, decided on a few new starts maybe there will be a brand new uncluttered sfx new year
at least less junk would be great.

SJ I usually stay up just because I seldom go to bed before midnight

just had a look at some pics taken yesterday and God do I look old! how depressing, no wonder all those people in movies have plastic surgery, imagine being constantly confronted with your younger self and lots of your pics everywhere.

where is that bottle

mellow2 · 17/12/2007 17:03

No prob, sfx

sj,
I'm free Thu afternoon. I might take dd to story time at the library but otherwise I'm home. But a cheque in the post is good too.

Ros,
Sorry to hear you need an op. I hope it goes well.

Steppy/QC was thinking of these for CM's sons:

www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ArgosTrolleyList?langId=-1&krypto=BqxQSpnieJ6IYZmy bOq%2Fzr%2B4WqTjL59VsfpVnuXfQP7EssdwLF1dYspa9%2BY5KUTJkNQzBrKFGlpN%0ApbdOD7m3hOInC9p%2F0ywXIJ0vgE6Hw Douw9mn96zwxyq8CRalMZzgpZxDUKt0lyGbZgPkwm0nTWlt%0A3pIwgj5Ml%2F9dZO237Jym3mJgqiNuDVncpYC11C%2F%2FiMRI cmTBZhP%2F5C8yKc8jwCQhcWkTnZ%2BO%2FZGV%0Aho%2ByoGGRyL15%2BNEWV2ND6bJbIBoH&ddkey=OrderItemDisplay

They are above our budget though as it would be £49+£5 delivery (out if stock on shops). What do you think?

They are quite clever and v popular with small boys but DS1 is pretty certain they don't have any.

foxcubinapeartree · 17/12/2007 18:41

They are out of stock at Richmond and Ealing. Do either of you have access to another branch where you could pick them up if I reserve them? Would save a fiver in delivery fees and guaruntee we get them before the big day...

Paddlechick666 · 17/12/2007 18:47

blimmin hell how much do spend on your CM?! i thought about gifts for her kids but went for a family tin of Roses instead.

do you normally buy gifts for CM kids?

oh lordy! what's the protocol?

arg arg arg!

Paddlechick666 · 17/12/2007 18:48

and what are they? teh link doesn't work for me and i am intrigued now!

rosmincepieeater · 17/12/2007 18:53

I've bought a tin of biscuits for the nursery staff!

Ds is so much better, he had a 3 hr nap today and seems to be back to his normal self. I am so glad because he can go to nursery tomorrow - I think I've come to rely on those mornings far too much!

foxcubinapeartree · 17/12/2007 18:57

Actually I think I should maybe get one of each of the cheaper sets £18.99 each (series 2 and series 3)

Paddle that's divided by three Mums - so would only be about £6.40 per Mum, per child IYKWIM

They are cubes with little electronic
stick men on the screen. When you place one next to another, or above/below another cube, the little men start interacting. e.g if you place the side by side, the men push at the walls to try and get through to the other cube. If you place one above another, the man in the lower cube will climb up to the ceiling of his cube to try and break through to the cube man above him. Very clever and endless fun for small peole (good for long car journeys too)

foxcubinapeartree · 17/12/2007 18:59

Our CM always buys really nice presents for her mindees

We thought if we join up we can get her DS's a decent pressie each, rather than just tat.

SJ99 · 17/12/2007 19:25

Couldn't see the link either but the discription makes it seem like a dead exciting pressie, I want one now

Glad mini-Ros is better, there are so many bugs around but glad that one went quickly. Why do you think your op will be cancelled? Hope all goes well anyway

Mellow - I'll post cheque but I'll give you call on Thurs in case you want to meet up anyway

Our tree is up, yay. DS made me laugh tonight, we were reading his Thomas Tank book and I said who's that pointing at Fat Controller, he replied 'Grandad'. I had to stifle a laugh as the resemblance is quite uncanny now that he's pointed it out

rosmincepieeater · 17/12/2007 19:29

lol at minisj! Sj, no reason for it to be postponed, just that I was meant to have it last week and it was postponed until this week and I can just see it happening again! Plus I am quite scared by the idea of having an op [wimpy emoticon] so if I don't think its going to happen then I don't get worked up so much iyswim!

SJ99 · 17/12/2007 19:32

Ok, in that case I hope it gets cancelled

rosmincepieeater · 18/12/2007 09:55

Morning! Ds back to normal so he's gone off to nursery today. They're having a trip to the local church to see the nativity display.

Don't know what we'll do this afternoon, might go to Kew depending on what time he wakes up.

HOpe everyone's ok

rosmincepieeater · 18/12/2007 09:58

Btw, does anyone have any semblence of a cowboy/sheriff outfit for a 2yr old? Ds has a fancy dress party on Thursday and I've just remembered

sfxmum · 18/12/2007 12:30

hi all

the clearing up continues, I think dd inherited the gathering junk gene

hope you are all well

SJ99 · 18/12/2007 13:14

Hello all

Might join you at Kew Ros this afternoon as it's such a lovely day. Depends what time DS wakes up though, hopefully not too late.

Sorry no help with costume, only have his spider outfit from Halloween if you get desperate

Well done on the decluttering SFX, surprising how much junk there is just lying around, maybe we should do the same after Xmas

Hope everyone having a good day

Paddlechick666 · 18/12/2007 15:19

dd just told me i have a prickly chin - it's what she says to friends when they need a shave!

rosmincepieeater · 18/12/2007 16:43

Sj & Sfx, nice to see you this afternoon! Ds is now watching Balamory after demanding it the whole way home on the bus!
