New thread as the other one is not going to last long.

OP posts:
festivevillas · 15/12/2007 13:16

Paddle, dd and I could whizz round to see you in yer new pad tomorrow - what time? Can bring some mince pies or similar in an attempt to invoke some Christmas cheer!

foxcubinapeartree · 15/12/2007 13:19

Paddle - I might be around tomorrow. Need to do a review of Chrissie shopping this arvo and see whether I need to do any more tomorrow (hopefully not, with the exception of Mellow's gorgeous bags)

to your H for last year

Do you fancy coming out at the end of Jan - see link below?

Paddlechick666 · 15/12/2007 13:34

ros, actually already expecting a visitor this arvo. re-scheduled from this morning after getting the dr's appt. good luck with the shopping! no idea when i am going to get mine done! might have to skive off take off monday arvo.

festive/foxie, visits tomorrow would be great. dd lunches/naps 12-2:30ish so either before or after, whichever suits?

am going to try to get some decs and the tree up later so that might get us in the mood a bit!

poor dd is coughing and spluttering thru her nap now

re: h, yeah you're all right. i am pleased he seems capable of communication etc but intend to keep my distance somewhat also. just hope to goodness he doesn't let dd down again. catch22 tho for me, he says he won't and i have to give him a chance (for her sake) otherwise i'll never know!

blardy hell, she's tellin me she's done a poo now! lol, she'll never nap at this rate!

festivevillas · 15/12/2007 14:03

Morning prob best for us, 1030?

rosmincepieeater · 15/12/2007 14:03

Ok, maybe catch up some other time then! I've still got all my xmas shopping to do . I did try to do some with ds but he definitely takes after dh with the hating shopping gene!

SJ99 · 15/12/2007 14:09

Good luck with shopping Ros, hope you manage to get it all done.

Sorry to hear Mini-pads has taken a turn for the worse, hope she feels better soon, give her a big hug from me

We're going to pass on Kew, my bro is babysitting and was going to come round at 7pm but he just called and said he wants to come earlier so he can play with DS.

Foxie - as for getting ready, I'm a speed queen at that, 15mins tops! Quick make up, then sling on dress and shoes and then I'm out of the door as soon as DS gone to bed. Maximises party time

Paddlechick666 · 15/12/2007 14:17

perfick festive!

ros, i am always amazed when i see people shopping with toddlers. how do they manage it? dd is a nightmare!

sj, thanks. have a top night out tonight.

i'm cooking up a storm now that we're stuck indoors. dd has refused a nap, first time EVER i think

got some buttercup cough syrup which seems to be helping.

rosmincepieeater · 15/12/2007 14:45

lots of bribery I think!

Have a nice night sj

Ds has woken up and am still undecided about Kew! I hadn't realised it was a proper evening thing, ds generally isn't good with late nights.

rosmincepieeater · 15/12/2007 14:46

oops sorry sj, also meant to add a so that you knew I wasn't entirely jealous!

foxcubinapeartree · 15/12/2007 15:02

I'm undecided about Kew too Rose - don't want to stand around freezing my baubles off!!

Has anyone been to visit the igloo thing near White Peaks?

sfxmum · 15/12/2007 15:35

hello all

Paddle poor you two what a few months you have had! Glad he did his bit, not that he should be thanked for it

Foxie sounds wild[grin do they have have the same Santa each year? or is it extra penance penance given by the priest?

Steppie I always think that loss of freedom is relative, it's great being able to play like a small kid and have an acceptable excuse for it

Kew I think we will go but having said that I have no idea where dh and dd are or what time they will be in. I left earlier for hairdressers and shopping.

Dh's indulgence yesterday was in honour of extension of contract with raise. I tried to exercise restraint and only had a few chocs and a small glass of wine, and grabbed a croissant for breakfast today.

hope you are all ok

Ros - canned veg

sfxmum · 15/12/2007 15:42

and SJ have a fab time tonight

wave to everyone else too

foxcubinapeartree · 15/12/2007 17:20

LOL sfx at the penance. The frustrating thing was I could recognises Santa's voice but couldn't work out who he was!!

Rose - at the canned vegs too!! Was that Tesco?

SFX agree about relative loss - we get to do all sorts of silly things now don't we - like make sand castles and blow bubbles.

Congrats to your DH on his contract extension/pay rise!!!! Good timing just before Christmas

rosmincepieeater · 15/12/2007 18:06

Yep, Tescos! I obviously got the teenaged oik doing the shop!

I agree as well re loss of freedom especially when I'm playing with ds in soft play & on bouncy castles!

sfxmum · 15/12/2007 19:44

sfx clan slowly defrosting post Kew carols

Paddlechick666 · 15/12/2007 19:57

paddle planet awash with cough induced vomit again

dd now propped up in front of nick jr. she just can't breathe when she's lying down. no idea what to do next.......

had a visit from 2cute and her ds this afternoon. she sends her love and i'm sure she'll be popping on to MN herself soon.

kew, if you're around and about then full steam ahead with sorting out the kew pass for 2cute.

she's doing okay under the circumstances and it was really good to see her and her ds.

hope everyone else has a peaceful evening!

bahKewcHumbug · 15/12/2007 20:37

OK Paddle will sort it for her.

Disasterous trip to Kew - too long and boring to go into rescued by popping into my sisters and DS being entertained by teenage cousins (god bless teenage cousins!)

Move was eventful, still not wired computers up and I'm almost catatonic. Next week sorting out old building will be almost as bad...

rosmincepieeater · 15/12/2007 21:07

Poor minipads , is her mattress propped up at all?

Glad you saw 2cute as well.

Oh dear, fishwife next door is at it again!

sfxmum · 16/12/2007 10:11

good morning all

how is mini paddle today?

good to know 2cute visited with her DS look forward to seeing her around.

am taking dd to my aunt's birthday, she was 77 on Friday, dd is mostly interested in seeing her teen cousins and eating cake

hope you all have a nice day

foxcubinapeartree · 16/12/2007 13:04

Paddle I'm glad you saw 2cute - I keep thinking about her. It must be very hard for her this Christmas with her DH

I think I'll give our visit a miss this arvo if that's OK - am afraid of Mini-pads vomiting/cough thingy - I hope she's OK. She's had a hard time health wise recently hasn't she?

Mellow will try and get over after 2.30pm to collect bag - will text

We have a pile of Argos boxes in side alley which I need tosomehow smuggle into house to wrap.

foxcubinapeartree · 16/12/2007 13:05

Argos boxes with toys in (not just boxes)

Paddlechick666 · 16/12/2007 13:48

hi all

well, she had an okay night once she settled about 9ish.

just had a lovely visit from festive and her dd. nice relaxing morning eating cake and letting the kids hang out. even managed to "off" some of my (now) empty boxes onto them

have rung out of hours dr again and insisted on an inhaler which i can go and collect in an hour.

foxie, completely understand. am of your having got the xmas shopping done!

will see how dd goes this evening but am wondering if i should take tomorrow off and keep her home......

how pathetic am i? my new cable wi-fi router has arrived and i am desperate to get it set up!

foxcubinapeartree · 16/12/2007 14:55

Paddle perhaps you should stay home tomorrow and set up router look after DD

Just realised Argos didn't deliver whole order so now have to get Dh to wait in on Tur=esday as well!!!

foxcubinapeartree · 16/12/2007 14:58

OK who hasn't put their name down yet?

SJ99 · 16/12/2007 16:02

Hello all

Part was really good fun last night and I did dance the night away, feeling v.tired today but not hungover which is always a bonus.

Mellow - I'm really sorry it completely slipped my mind that I was going to try and pop in with the money today (bit spaced out today), would it be alright if I came by either Mon or Thurs afternoon instead?

Poor Minipads - how is she doing now? She has had bad run of illness this winter. Glad you saw 2Cute and she's doing ok

Foxie - grrr at Argos, hope you get the rest of the pressies in time for xmas. Amazon claim to have delivered one of mine on 8th Dec, no sign of it yet How was your party?

SFX - hope you and DD enjoy the party + cake
