OP posts:
rosmincepieeater · 19/12/2007 21:16

thanks sfx, am a bit nervous about it, oh well that will teach me for watching ER & Grey's Anatomy

sfxmum · 19/12/2007 21:22

I am sure it will be fine although I understand the apprehension-at least bound to get good drugs

SJ99 · 19/12/2007 21:54

Good luck Ros with op tom, hope all goes well

Yes we're hosting, 3rd time in past 7yrs, although one year we invited everyone round and got them to cook Just watched Heston's Xmas dinner, wow what a meal/experience, would love to try his taste sensations, mmmm

Goodnight all (think I will be dreaming of food tonight)

SJ99 · 19/12/2007 21:55

Just re-read that and before your start with any innuendos I meant I would love to try his food

xoxo · 19/12/2007 21:57

HI guys

Soirry for not being on here for so long, but combination of new job/ life/ kids just got too much , so no time for social life/ MN.

Anyway I have been thinking about you all, so wanted to say happy christmas and have a great new year to one and all. And that my new years resolution will be 'must do more MN'

sfxmum · 20/12/2007 09:50

good morning all

Mellow are you around? do you think we could meet somewhere halfway? I still want 2 bags to give as presents, but seriously running out of time.

SJ I really like his geek cook stuff, his is one of the few restaurants I would actually like to book ahead for. did not watch it last night bet it was amazing.

we had a bit of a disturbed nigh although dd is fine, just really unsettled for some reason.
am really tired.

help, need advice.

CM has given dd 3 gifts one from her and one from each of her DC. i seriously wasn't expecting it. she also had a gift from playgroup that CM takes her to.

i bought a huge tin of Roses and now feel that i should have got something for each of her DC. I had also intended to get a papmer voucher of some sort from somewhere but haven't managed to get around to it

if I manage to sort something out before Xmas Eve, will it totally look like i am responding to her gifts rather than being spontaneous as I blardy should have been?

i am a crap person

foxcubinapeartree · 20/12/2007 12:21

[I told you so emoticon]

Seriously - can you pop round there between now and Christmas day to deliver something?

I often deliver our CM's pressies Christmas Eve, just 'cos I haven't got round to wrapping them up any earlier

foxcubinapeartree · 20/12/2007 12:22

Just tell her you only just gor round to wrapping them, what with the move and everything

MrsRecycle · 20/12/2007 12:25

hi ladies! hi oxo!

sorry not been here much - have had this dreadful flu/cold/cough for the past week and doc has finally given me antibiotics for chest infection. So feeling much better.

Ros - lots of hugs and wishes for tomorrow - hope all goes well. Enjoy the pampering by dh.

pc - we got a lovely gift from a lady who dh had helped moved - some wine delivered from M&S - even better as dh doesn't drink wine so more for me . Can you go on-line and see if they will deliver before Christmas?

Foxie - glad smelly lodger has gone. Good luck in your search for a new one. Gosh reading your tribulations reminds me how glad I am that I am free from flat-share hell (and I did it for a good few years).

dh and I had a lovely time at my works xmas party last Friday - Steppie we stayed in a hotel and I had time to do my nails/look glam for the night. Oh it was heaven - mind you I'm sitting here typing with the same nailvarnish chipped to pieces!

We are off to the caravan on Friday night for Christmas so won't have time to catch up for a week or so. We're going out on Christmas Day for a meal in a Gastro Bar which is opposite the Beach - I'm having lobster ...mmm ..- can't wait.

Oh the best bit of news - have found a new AP and she's your double sfx - same name and from the same country!! She's lovely and will start with us in February, when current AP leaves.

festivevillas · 20/12/2007 13:17

Hello from our new house, moved in yesterday and online already hurrah!!!!

Ros, good luck with the operation.

SJ99 · 20/12/2007 13:27

Hello Festive - wow that was fast getting online. Hope the rest of settling in and unpacking goes as smoothly

Hello xoxo & Mrs R - hope you enjoy your respective Christmas's

SFX - if you like Heston you MUST try and watch last night's programme - maybe it's repeated later in week, the thought and creativity that went into his Christmas meal was unbelievable & after he said it was the most memorable meal he's cooked. My bro and his friend went to Fat Duck and said it was the best meal experience ever

Paddle - not sure if you'll get delivery before xmas but this website is fab

sfxmum · 20/12/2007 16:04

Festive - very impressed hope you nice and warm too

mrsR surely not as lovely as me would like to learn some choice swear word in mother tongue? that is quite freaky actually

Foxie have a great time sounds fab

SJ we would very much like to go dh quite a likes him too. before child we used to go to nice restaurants and would go to The Gate in Hammersmith at least once a month, gorgeous veggie food, not these days

2Cute · 20/12/2007 17:43

Not too sure where to start...Hello everyone, hope all are well.

Thank you for all the cards, letters biscuits, flowers etc It really does mean so much to me to know that you've been thinking of me and my DS.

I'm trying my very best to keep brave and my DS is my little rock through everything, an absolute God send. The sound of his laughter is what gives me the strength to get up each day. I don't think about 'tomorrow' but just deal with what to do each day as it comes, so I'm probably the most disorganised person out of us now so be warned!

sfxmum · 20/12/2007 17:50

hi 2cute lovely to see you around
many hugs to you and DS

GloriaInEleusis · 20/12/2007 18:10

Hi 2cute! So glad to see you here. One day at a time is probably a great plan and who gives a monkey if you are a bit disorganised. It must be so hard and I think you are doing a fantastic job. Hang in there.

foxcubinapeartree · 20/12/2007 18:31

Hi 2cute - its lovely to see you back [hugs]. Stick around Luvvy We're all here for you if you need anything

SJ99 · 20/12/2007 19:14

Hi 2Cute, welcome back
Hugs to you and your DS

MrsRecycle · 20/12/2007 20:47

Oh 2cute lovely to see you here again, in amongst your friends. You have never been far from our thoughts and prayers.

Mind you, I'm impressed you found us in the "Local" section it took me ages to suss out where everyone was.

sfxmum · 20/12/2007 22:04

I know it is really sad but I am really pleased M&S will be opened from 7 am and I can shop by myself before dh goes to work.

yes it is quite sad
