Lunch at home very nice. Grilled some lamb chops, washed down with wine. Haven't seen friend for 10 years!

Copper - yes, vast sums were owed Glad lunch went well. Off to 40th at wkend, there will be a friend there I haven't seen for 18yrs! Cannot wait to meet up, she was quite a character back in the day so will be interesting to see if she has changed or not

I am off to the consulate in the morning I may be some time and even have sanity ever so slightly challenged

Got a new Ikea drop-leaf table for upstairs and working there today (mostly ). Next task - find suitable chair ...

consulate was a mostly a disaster, honestly people go out of their way to be arseholes and I got nothing done

-info they sent me was wrong
-the list of documents was incomplete and not clear

• some of the documents they said I needed I did not
• the official meant to be there dealing with this had gone missing, no one knew when/if he would be in

and ....(drum roll) dh was supposed to be there - this was never made clear in their frakking paperwork and/or emails

on the plus side I managed to sit down with some guy who made it all clear for me and who was calm patient and efficient he sorted out some of the stuff so next time it will be easier, I hope

he also apologised and said it might be a good idea to complain and make suggestions so that the service can improve, he also said the staffing had been drastically cut and that made things harder
I don't think he will be there next time just too nice and effective

and relax

and I haven't run since Monday although I did swim on Tuesday
my tutor granted me another week - relief

and I need a job NOW please

I am not really sure what to apply for but I think I will cast a wide net

why don't we make a FB closed group? a secret one? my other 2 are there and here I have just been shouted at, thinking of just changing user name and dropping by once in a while

sfx well done for surviving. And why have you been shouted at? I quite like it here. No one has shouted at me (yet) and I have admirers of my nickname. Well, one admirer. But won't say no to secret FB group in you invite me.

Next meeting up - I have just one or two things on here and there and DH is away a few days but generally, in principle, I'm up for meeting up!

it wasn't even a difference of opinion, it was the person 2 post or so previously going on about taking bikes on the tube, recreational bikes, to go with the children and so on
all I said was I am not sure about bikes on the tube but cycle lanes need sorting out

so extensive bollocking private message received and promptly ignored

regarding group I am on 2 one of the runners who used to be on MN but decided after 2yrs to move somewhere more private as we ended up talking about a lot more than running

and one from the Open University, they used to have parenting forums for students and I got to know many people thee before the OU abolished them so we migrated to FB
