Just popping in and saw thread already full up! The craziness of November is well and truly under way. Sorry I'm behind on your news, hope everyone is well.

Still undecided about floor, have got loads of samples ordered. I want a fresh, modern look whereas Dh wants more clinical, utlitarian (sp?) look, need to find something that we both like

Long day - went to friend's new house in the afternoon. Kids knackered. Swimming again tomorrow.

Actually I didn't lose my temper today. Which is very unusual.

TBH it's nice to see some rain. Water butt emptying.

Copper - we're off to a tiny village in the West Country for a week, yay!

My mum will have boys tomorrow so I can get on with packing. I have bought some extra eggs to have an Easter egg hunt around the cottage, but boys have already found eggs in the kitchen

Need to get water butt when we get round to doing garden

It is sort of a crash course which is paying off I am trying to persuade dd to go to cinema. Am desperate to see pirates

I'm hoping to take ds1 to see pirates at some point, think it will be v good!

Just had to re-tune our tv and noticed we now have a new channel called Gay rabbit

vbus, be careful with those channels, if they're the chat ones then they're not locked so the dses can turn over to them. I've had to scramble for the remote a couple of times now.

Super grumpy at the moment. Blocked up nose + non-stop sneezing (how can that be!?), sore throat, itchy eyes. Kids intent on winding each other up. No, actually, don't think they are. It's just that all this jollity grates on me.... They are now upstairs doing their bedtime stuff without me - told them they'd better do it without me because the slightest giggle will send me ballistic.

Scones copper you need scones and jam
Last day at swim lessons she us challenging herself but I think I will get her some 1:1 lessons in the Summer. I want her swimming strong as soon as possible

Bracing walk this morning crazy weather

I would second the scones to use up cream. My hot toddy is made up with hot water, juice of a lemon, honey, cloves and whisky. Mix to taste and drink!

It's freezing today. Definitely packing jumpers, waterproofs and hot chocolate

Hello! Last swimming lesson today too. Progress, but need more work. Then cafe for bacon sandwiches. Then park, friend's house, park and home finally. It's freezing out there.

Clotted cream on banana bread is going down a treat. Nearly finished now. Was going to to do some microwave jam sponge to go with it. Not going to make scones specially for it. Too coldy and tired... If someone volunteers though...

I was out in 2 cotton layers and a fleecy and my winter coat and wished I had hat and gloves and scarf. Is this winter again!?

yes it was freezing out, I am not sure I have fully defrosted yet
