Hi

Just on quickly, will catch up later

can do 19th or 21st (would prefer 21st tho)
can also do Westfield but Richmond/Kingston/Watermans much easier to get to, will go along with majority
don't mind watching both or just new film, I'm easily pleased [hsmile]

Kora · 08/07/2011 18:27

Hi, grand plan! Can do both dates. Count me in for whichever suits people best! [hsmile]

UptoapointLordCopper · 08/07/2011 21:01

Hi!

Don't mind either dates or venue. Whether I can make it or not depends on whether DH can work from home on the day or not. Thursday probably better... Hmm. Why don't you all book for yourselves and if I can make it I'll try to get ticket last minute?

vbus · 09/07/2011 15:15

getting v. excited, going to see Take That soon [hsmile]

sfxmum · 09/07/2011 15:58

vbus have a fab timeGrin

am stuck at home with poorly child, she missed her end of term concert at music class, was stuck indoors yesterday doing chores for forthcoming 'busy' weekend, must make sure i go out running tomorrow not much chance of it Monday or Tuesday

oh well end of moan

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 09/07/2011 19:05

Hello!

sfx - sorry to hear about poorly child. Hope not too ill.

We just have overtired children screeching about the place. Luckily it's DH turn and I'm just here sipping G&T. Had to ditch my sugar-free tonic water bought by mistake and got more Waitrose's own tonic water. No sugar-substitute in my G&T please thank you very much. One can't be thinking too much about one's health if one is having a G&T, now, can one? Hmm

Went to shops with DS1. Bought this and that - pj for DS1, blackout blind for spare room, and DS1' s "treat" for getting good school report - 99p book from Oxfam. Cheapskate parents. GrinBlush

UptoapointLordCopper · 09/07/2011 19:11

BTW we are also going to a festival!! Mainly because DH's brother is playing. Very exciting. Might stay over in Cambridge or something and be touristy first. Haven't been to Cambridge since goodness-knows-when.

sfxmum · 09/07/2011 19:43

festivals are great I am sure you will enjoy it

dd has been running a fever all day, poor child but she really is easy, just wants me to read to her all day, not near the end of HP and the Philosopher's Stone
[hsmile]

OP posts:
tillyfernackerpants · 09/07/2011 20:16

sfx, am so [henvy] of dd getting to read it from the beginning, can't wait until ds1 is old enough to read them. How is she feeling?

vbus, how was Take That?

Re HP, shall we go with 21? Just thinking we need to make a decision sharpish before its sold out [hgrin]

Kewcumber · 09/07/2011 20:58

Noooo - I can;t do that week for HP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Copper perhaps you and I could do another night a week or two later???? Pretty please...

sfxmum · 09/07/2011 21:05

tilly 21st works for me the following week is much harder as we will be gearing up for the festival and dh is likely do eb doing long hrs in the run up to Thu 28

  • I know what you mean about the fresh start, she really is enjoying it, I expect the 2nd will be read by the end of the Summer holidays

Copper never been to Cambridge is it nice?

KewC how are you feeling?

OP posts:
sfxmum · 09/07/2011 21:07

and I have tickets for Fautus at the Globe for next Saturday, babysitting looking doubtful so not sure if taking dh, but I am definitely going

OP posts:
sfxmum · 09/07/2011 21:08

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 09/07/2011 21:12

Man sfx, I'm so damn tired I'm actually looking forward to being hooked up to a machine on Monday to mainline iron! Shock

Cambridge is flat. It has students and bikes.

sfxmum · 09/07/2011 21:25

not long now kewC is it a one off? hopefully you wil be feeling better soon.

I shall spend the best part of Monday afternoon in hospital but not for me, thankfully, come to think of it part of Tuesday too

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 09/07/2011 23:12

If its Charing Cross SFX you can come and visit me on Monday! Not really a one off but the last one was about 18 months ago so its looking like I'll need one every year or two. Just can;t absorb iron, tried every which way, tried every flaky complimetary remedy, every old wives tale and good old fashioned prescription strength iron tablets. Had investigations until they were coming out of my ears (or thereabouts) with no joy. ONly theory is that I have some kind of autoimmune response to iron (as I do with B12) which occured at same time as the missing platelets and possibly caused by the same thing.

ie - no-one knows!

sfxmum · 09/07/2011 23:34

kewC you must feel specialGrin
hospitals are in Harrow and Wembley so a bit far really

dh got home with a lovely chocolate and pear torte, yummy thing but really not helping my efforts (he made me do it honest guv)

OP posts:
vbus · 10/07/2011 09:55

Hello all

Tilly - 21st perfect for me, too excited [hsmile]
BTW I'm really sorry I can't make this tues meet up but should be fine for following Tues instead, hope that's ok

KC - sorry to hear that medical mysteries continue, hope all goes well on Mon

Sfx - torte sounds divine [henvy] can't wait for DS1 to start reading HP but I fear it may give him nightmares so will hold off for a while.

Copper - enjoy festival and sightseeing, some bands on there that I've not heard for ages. I let DS1 choose any magazine in newsagent for getting a good report, he was thrilled [hgrin]

Take That were completely amazing last night, really enjoyed it, still on a high [hsmile]
