stepfordwife · 21/06/2011 13:09

sorry for just ducking in (life just too busy, all the time, fed-up with it..) but one (not so) burning issue i've simply GOT to comment on.......vbus.......
you'll love Zumba!

as you were.....

Kewcumber · 21/06/2011 14:39

piss off steppie - this isnt MumsnetLite - we expect commitment and dedication.

UptoapointLordCopper · 21/06/2011 14:59

Hello!

Come back steppie. Don't listen to Kew!

What on earth is Zumba?

My fleecy jumpers and my sun hat have arrived. Which one to wear!? Confused

Kewcumber · 21/06/2011 15:22

Zumba is London zoo's new elephant.

UptoapointLordCopper · 21/06/2011 16:56

I see. Grin

tillyfernackerpants · 21/06/2011 17:15

Copper, can't go wrong with both atm Grin

Hi steppie, ignore Kew

Kew, nice to see you too yesterday! Ds2 told dh about the lady who tried to eat his teacake Grin

sfxmum · 21/06/2011 18:45

Tilly emailed you but on closer inspection I don't think it is what you really want, I am away then

copper bith quite sensible and appropriate for the English Summer

Zumba seems to vary in quality according to teacher, or so my friend tells me, it is too dancy latin stuff for my uncoordinated self

spent morning at dentist tired and sore now, sports day at school tomorrow
KewC do you have your trainers ready?

OP posts:
vbus · 21/06/2011 20:23

Hello all

Steppie - hi and thanks for vote of confidence, will report back next week on what the 'elephant' was like. Suppose I can't knock it til I've tried it. BTW those photos never turned up!

KC - good luck with house sale, would you consider renting if you can't find anywhere? LOL at your cheeky chappie Grin

Sfx - no sign of tickets yet, I didn't think they'd be released yet

Copper - deffo wear both Smile We have the same class/parent assemblies each term, much prefer them to whole school assembly where the kids barely fit in the hall nevermind the parents

vbus · 21/06/2011 20:30

Sfx - who did you book tickets with? Just checked and mine said tickets to be sent 1wk before event Confused

sfxmum · 21/06/2011 20:46

vbus got mine through ticketline, usually them or seetickets, there is a thread on that festival ans most got their tickets already, in my experience all agents say, it can be up to a week before event but generally tickets turn up earlier

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 21/06/2011 20:48

oh lord sfx please don;t tell me that paretns are expected to participate?? No mention of that in the school bulletin!

sfxmum · 21/06/2011 20:53

it is very competitive KewC

OP posts:
vbus · 21/06/2011 21:24

Got mine from there too, will have to keep an eye out for postie and check out thread

Managed to avoid parents race this year, hope you enjoy yours!

UptoapointLordCopper · 21/06/2011 21:24

My policy is to leave before parents' race. It is a good policy. Free country. Leave when you like.

stepfordwife · 22/06/2011 08:01

commitment??
dedication??
blimey, you're right....i'm orf! Grin

ignore kew? who she?! Wink

sfx, i've go two left feet but just think if i keep moving during zumba it'll work! sure it doesn't look very pretty but i'm having fun, so who cares! think it's pretty good workout, too.

ds2 is 10 today Shock. how did that happen?

going on a trip with his class in ploy to spend the day with my boy on his birthday.
have a good day, all...
toodlepip

sfxmum · 22/06/2011 13:13

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 22/06/2011 14:04

yes it was an interesting approach wasn;t it sfx - lets wait until everyone is soaked and then cancel!

UptoapointLordCopper · 22/06/2011 19:34

Hello!

Kids reading in bed. Meant to be hanging out the laundry but that's so dull. Had very dull meeting at work too. Can't take too much dullness, despite being quite dull myself. Perhaps especially being quite dull myself.

Postie put amazon book package over the garden gate. In this weather. Angry Luckily book is only a bit damp. Harrumph.

Steppie - happy birthday DS2!

Friend just had baby and all well. Smile

UptoapointLordCopper · 22/06/2011 19:35

We've had our sports day cancelled once. Rumours have it that it will be rescheduled on Friday. I hope it bloody pours.

sfxmum · 23/06/2011 10:12

HelloSmile
Bit of sun hey, almost as if it us Summer

Hello!

Not that much rain today.

Had black olive sesame bread for tea. It's divine.

Kewcumber · 23/06/2011 21:46

off to new forest camping tomorrow - rain rain go away come again another day (prefereably not until mid sept) Posh trailer tent kaput so old fashioned tent for us - though with fat erics and trangia really virtual luxury compared to some.

UptoapointLordCopper · 24/06/2011 10:01

Hello!

Lovely and sunny and no sports day!

Happy camping Kew!
