Hello people hope everyone had a nice weekend
Here dh working from home and child resting from home due to sleepless night coughing
Revision not going great
At least might be able to run

OP posts:
vbus · 23/05/2011 13:25

Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend
We had a great time but we're all now totally exhausted!
School fair was a really good day out despite purse feeling much lighter by the end of it. DS2 had the cutest tiger face painting done. Spent all day at friend's yesterday, went for a windy bbQ.

Sfx - hope Dd feels better soon

Need to do some gardening now, too many weeds in the garden

UptoapointLordCopper · 23/05/2011 14:49

Late lunch now. Shock

UptoapointLordCopper · 24/05/2011 19:16

Hello! Hope everyone well.

We've been to the woodcraft folk meeting! It's great fun, but the hall is so echo-y that I couldn't actually hear what the pledge is ... No doubt it's all very good things. Grin We'll go back, I think.

But kids a bit exhausted and a bit mental... Me too ...

sfxmum · 25/05/2011 09:47

hello

copper that sounds promising but take it you took no oath? Grin

sun is shining but woke up with a heavy heart for no discernible reason, best go running usually much less complicated

anyway ridiculously cheered by bbc press release here Case Histories with Jason Isaacs as lead, a middle aged woman's dream Wine

OP posts:
sfxmum · 25/05/2011 17:25

Kewcumber just remembered there is a bit of gossip I would like to know and expect you haveGrin

our summer festival has fancy dress, this year's theme is medieval so am thinking of wearing knight like clothes, bit of chain mail and what not

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 25/05/2011 17:45

sfx - no oaths. Wink

Bloody halfords, promising me a trailer by this pm. If you had things in bits and you don't know what's missing and might need to get things in, would you leave it to last minute to try to build things? Would you? You would if you were halfords.

tillyfernackerpants · 25/05/2011 18:53

Copper, I think any store does now (cynical? moi? Grin)

I have the house to myself tonight, dh taken our guests out for the evening. They're lovely but it will be nice just to chill out a bit. Have an essay I'm finishing off so can do that in front of The Apprentice & with a glass of Wine

UptoapointLordCopper · 25/05/2011 19:42

I want to bake. Cinnamon rolls, normal soft bread rolls, and olive oil orange and apricot cake.

UptoapointLordCopper · 25/05/2011 19:43

Tilly - I'd never understand people promising things they can't deliver. "Of course we can do it. In fact we'll put it down in writing." Ha!

vbus · 25/05/2011 20:04

Copper - you're making me hungry even though I just polished off the last of my orange muffins. Well done on taking the 1st step to Woodcraft!

Tilly - enjoy the peace and quiet, think I'll have some ice cream with Apprentice Grin

Sfx - We had a Royal theme for our fair, there was even 'knight school' to attend

Had a lovely day at Kew on school trip. Looking after 3 5yr olds was slightly easier than looking after a 2 yr old and 5 yr old for the day, nonetheless I think I'll sleep well tonight Grin

Kewcumber · 25/05/2011 21:31

sfx - not sure I know any juicy gossip? Though of course it could be old hat and I've already forgotten it...

dustythedolphin · 25/05/2011 22:11

Copper that's really exciting - you will soon be Woodcraft Folks! Let me know what they get up to, they do sound great fun

Cinnamen rolls sound delicious!

Still waiting to sign contract on Music venue pub, but the current owner has agreed to stay on for the big music festival week and I have offered to pay him to be my bar manager for that week :) Hope he keeps to his word

Ireland just recovering from two visits by very famous people

London friend coming over for the weekend and I am ridiculously excited to see an old face here. its lovely here but I am still very much the newbie, settling in and it will be nice to spend time with someone who I can just relax with. Will take her to music pub and then after a few drinks tell her we are in fact buying it Wink

Hope ypou are having better weather than us, its very "April showers" here atm

Kew I like your idea for the chain mail

SFX hope DD recover soon

dustythedolphin · 25/05/2011 22:14

Copper that sounds very annoying indeed Angry

Tilly hope you enjoyed the civilised evening with the Wine and TV Envy without the sound of kids in the background

sfxmum · 26/05/2011 11:42

hello people, no gym trainer ill
oh dear I suppose I must just revise then Hmm

weather awful is it because the bank holiday approaches?

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 26/05/2011 12:58

Got trailer. Eventually. After strange wild goose chases. Hmm Buying from Halfords cannot be described as a happy consumer experience.

Rain. Yeah! No need to water garden for a change.

vbus · 26/05/2011 13:28

Hello

Copper - did you get bike trailer?

Dusty - enjoy time with your friend, will be nice to show her your new venue

Sfx - how is revision going?

Went to sports day this morning which was lots of fun. Managed to avoid doing parents race this time, phew Grin

UptoapointLordCopper · 26/05/2011 13:39

vbus - not bike trailer, just big box.

Sports day after half-term. I leave before the end. Too tedious.

sfxmum · 26/05/2011 13:44

copper trailer=bigger tent and gear

vbus our sports day is near the end of June they have 2 days one as back up
revision about half way 1st phase not decided yet whihc bits I will focus on

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 26/05/2011 14:29

sfx - not so much about bigger tent and more gear than just being able to take the tent ...

sfxmum · 26/05/2011 14:39

important when camping I can see that

OP posts:
sfxmum · 27/05/2011 10:20

hello
did you like the rain yesterday?
I am stuck home waiting for parcels and revising
I hope to fit in a run before pick up time

I am glad half term is here although time will be severely limited

OP posts:
Kora · 27/05/2011 17:08

Hi everyone, hope you're all well! So glad it's Friday! And bank holiday. I want to go to bed now and rest... Hectic week, work event in the evening yesterday took it out of me. But lovely lunch with friend today and working from home so able to see DDs a bit during day, and much more peaceful.

Mad chess sounds great. DH has tried to start teaching DD1, he was rather good in his day, but her attention span only lasts short bursts and she gets annoyed at the rules! Hmm, not quite got it yet, but to be fair she's still young for it!!

Vbus - well done on surviving sports day. Not looking forward to that bit of school calendar...

Sfx - best of luck with revision, and much respect for party organising! I shall come to you for tips...

Copper - you must tell us all about how the woodcraft goes, sounds v interesting.

Have a great bank holiday everyone!

UptoapointLordCopper · 27/05/2011 18:40

Hello!

Will post re: woodcraft again when we've been a few more times!

Bakes two cakes. Honey treacle and orange apricot. Which one to eat first? Grin

UptoapointLordCopper · 27/05/2011 18:40

Baked, obviously.
