OP posts:
sfxmum · 11/11/2010 09:24

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 11/11/2010 10:33

vbus · 11/11/2010 13:37

Good to hear Irish one is doing well Smile

I'll book HP tickets later today

Copper - Hope you're feeling a bit better now

UptoapointLordCopper · 11/11/2010 16:48

Hello!

How can 12 doughnuts cost 1 pound? Why am I affronted by the fact? Is it really that cheap to make doughnuts? I have lost touch with reality.

Exhausted from supervising two sets of homework. School has new reading scheme - Oxford Reading Tree. Sad We've only had a couple but they seem so educational. The old ones were bizarre and funny and exciting. Bring back Story Street and Jeremy Strong!

UptoapointLordCopper · 11/11/2010 16:48
sfxmum · 11/11/2010 17:01

lordcopper what doughnuts are those? Grin

we have had the Oxford Reading Tree since reception when they were only pictures to be described by the children, I find them tiresome but hey

hope your day/ week improves

am home alone but can't wait to have them all in asap
cooking a stew with dumplings seems fitting

vbus I only just found out that the John McCusker is married to Heidi Talbot, it did feel there was something between them, but last I hear he had divorced Kate Rusby
anyway gossip of the folk world it all seems very incestuous
It's a date for March to go and cheer Roddy along

sfx - it's particularly upsetting since our old reading books were actually fun. Even I enjoyed them, with characters pretending to be dead so they can avoid their mother's cooking, which included things like peanut butter omelette and such like. Makes everybody smile. Even the wordless picture ones were funny. Now it's just bloody educational. Make sure you put in all the words to describe buttons. FFS. Harrumph. But it's early days. Hopefully there are more exciting ones to come. Otherwise we might have to boycott them and read our own books.

Tesco doughnuts.

UptoapointLordCopper · 11/11/2010 17:27

Also very stressful trying to be all enthusiastic about the bloody reading books with DSs. Can only be enthusiastic for that long and then need to go and break something.

sfxmum · 11/11/2010 17:30

sorry to disappoint but they are dire, dd reads then to get it over with but moves on to her proper books

OP posts:
tillyfernackerpants · 11/11/2010 17:37

We also have Oxford Reading Tree, ds1 also reads it but moves as quickly as possible onto own books

UptoapointLordCopper · 11/11/2010 17:49

This is a new experience. We used to have interesting reading books. >

vbus · 11/11/2010 18:02

Oxford Reading Tree here too, so dull aren't they?

Sfx - there I was thinking she was yet to meet Enrique Grin

Just back from swimming and our adjoining fence with neighbour behind us has blown down. Who's responsibility is it to fix? Shared costs?

sfxmum · 11/11/2010 18:06

vbus still I think she will dump baldie if Johnny comes calling Wink

OP posts:
sfxmum · 11/11/2010 18:08

sorry about the fence can't help there probably some archaic law will come into play although sense should be shared costs but who knows

OP posts:
vbus · 11/11/2010 18:11

I've posted elsewhere too so hopefully someone will have an answer before I go and talk to neighbour tomorrow, so annoying as will now probably have to replace whole length of fence not just the parts that have collapsed Angry

Well at least he'll have Jordan to fall back on if she does dump him Grin

UptoapointLordCopper · 11/11/2010 18:31

vbus - sorry don't know about fence. Hopefully someone will know.

Just made pesto with pestle and mortar. Shock Does make one feel better, this bashing of things. Grin

Kewcumber · 11/11/2010 20:33

"Oxford Reading Tree here too, so dull aren't they?" glad its not just me then

vbus · 12/11/2010 11:18

Morning

Sfx/Kew - Harry potter tickets booked 19th 8pm Smile Smile Smile Can't wait!

Yet to discuss fence with neighbour will propose to split costs, will probably cost us more if we contact solitor to find out who owns the fence (unless neighbour knows)

Stayed up late icing cakes to latest school theme

Off out tonight for birthday meal but I think it will be a subdued celebration as DH still not 100% and I'm sooooo tired. Still it is a night out, woo hoo Grin

sfxmum · 12/11/2010 11:59

vbus thanks for booking

It was nice to see you and your gorgeous son Kew, thanks for the book, which was stuffed into my ridiculously heavy hand luggage (they never actually weigh hand luggage or even check it fits into the measurung slot thing anymore, so it doesn't matter Wink)
